The food here is pretty great, I've never had a sandwich with fries IN it before! The real draw here, though, is the dining environment, which is somehow serene and bustling at the same time. You're nestled in the tropical growth quite nicely.

Food was good and the setting was lovely. Service wasn't great. Our waitress never once came back to check on us after our food was brought out.

Atmosphere was great but the service was poor. We had the steak sandwich which two thirds of it was inedible because it couldn't be chewed.

The food, service and ambiance are well worth the trip. Been there done that and look forward to doing it again and again.

Tried Grilled veggies with cheese sandwich. Must have the shrimp Carlos Shrimp plate.

They give you free chips and salsa. Salsa has a sweet and tangy flavor which is very good.

Some wonderful eating on our tour of the glades. Food was fresh and well prepared with generous portions. Jenny was a terrific server and this stop was just what we needed to recharge after hours of exploring the everglades.

Nice place. No AC, doesn't bother to me but be advised. Almost no credit cards! Only MC. They don't say nothing, just a tiny sign almost hided in front. So carry cash.
Staff very rude. They let you feel you are almost disturbing them. To be honest cannot figure out why so many good reviews. The good thing is the trip from Miami by 41 road. But that is not an attribute of the restaurant.

I think this would rate 5 stars at another time. It was mobbed. We enjoyed it and would go back. Felt sorry for the staff, as they were overwhelmed. Food excellent

A rustic atmosphere with a tiny interior and huge patio. It was very crowded (Tuesday noon) so arrive before noon or make a reservation. The servers mirrored your attitude - if you're grumpy and impatient, they're brusque; if you want to have fun, they're game and can make it a good time. The menu specializes in Cuban-style seafood. I ordered the blackened scallops, made special that day. They were delicious and came with fried plantains, also good. The sign says that they don't accept VISA cards, but our Chase VISA worked fine.

This spot provides wonderful service and yummy food. One of my favourite places in the area. The food and drinks came out quick and the rates were fair. I recommend this place.

The outdoor dining area is absolutely gorgeous. Surrounded by flowers and chirping birds. The Cuban Sandwich is a must try!

Great spot for breakfast, but after seeing the Cuban sandwiches that came out of the kitchen I wish we would’ve been there for lunch! Our service was a little slow, probably because it is very small, and we were there between breakfast and lunch. Take cash if you don’t have MasterCard or discover, because they don’t take visa!

Nice looking place but bad service and not authentic cuban food please put a real cuban menu in place and the place will be a A+.

Nice place. Food and wait staff both solid. Would recommend remoulade sauce for the alligator bites, rather than tartar, though.

Wow, don't expect "fresh fish" of any kind in this place. My wife ordered a fried Mahi Mahi sandwich and it came out an awful fake rendition of some unidentifiable freezer burned thin square slab that was not even edible. The waitress was very matter of fact unapologetic about it and just walked away with her plate. She came back 5 mim later and said can we get you a desert or something.that was it! Another waitress came back with the bill (they took the frozen fish off the check) and said sorry you had a bad experience.have a nice day!

I don't know how this place stays in business serving this kind of frozen fish and then have attitude to boot! We certainly won't darken their door ever again!

Funky and fabulous. Roast pork outrageous. Carlos Cuban shrimp incredible. Friendly service. Music Sat added treat.

Food and atmosphere were phenomenal. Service was adequate.

Only 4 stars because:

1. Their tea was not sweet and I was not warned of such despite ordering sweet tea.

2. They do not take Visa credit/debit cards and very little forewarning of such. The waitress never mentioned it and I just happened to see it written on the specials board. Didnt need to worry about it because of #3.3. They would not do separate checks for a table of 5, which left us scrounging for cash.

The food was delicious and the prices were great! Plus they make a proper Cuban coffee and that is hard to find!

Overpriced for what it was. Service was very slow and impersonal. My husband had fried grouper with fries that were soggy. I had stone crab enchiladas, which had no tortilla and I had to crack open the crab claws that had sauce all over them; simply the crab claws, rice and sauce.
