They have a very limited menu no pork chops no fried chicken none of that they just do certain Cuban sandwiches and a very small amount of pico de gallo because it’s 12: 46 PM in Florida and they no longer have any more left of the picadillo sell very limited service, young crowd, young servers is a little bit to be desired

The first time I had something from this restaurant, I loved it. We catered our office grand opening and I had both the Tampa and Miami style Cubans and they were good. I decided to go for lunch one day and I ordered the roasted pork meal. The beans and rice were good. The roast pork could have been good as well, but ninety percent of what was in my container was greasy fat. Needless to say I was not happy, and I haven't returned since. I didn't bother to complain or try to get it corrected by calling because I really didn't feel like I was wanted in the establishment in the first place. Maybe sometime in the future I'll decide to give it another try.

My fiancé and I went to Havana because we hadn’t been in so long. We were really excited because we normally love their food. But today, we didn’t. My plantains were burnt to a crisp. I couldn’t even eat them because the burnt taste was disgusting. Our Cuban sandwiches were fairly over cooked. The flavors and deliciously we are so used to just weren’t there. The staff was talking for the majority of our 40 minute wait. If they had been paying attention to the food, maybe we’d have had a better experience. It just sucks because we love this place. So today was a real disappointment.

Such a shame. Came looking for a real café cubano - Cuban coffee as suggested by the name of the place. No notion of what proper coffee is about. Sandwiches already made in a hot glass box…No authenticity in making fresh sandwich for the customers.
I think the owner had a great idea, the decoration, the uniforms…but the execution failed though. Really hope this helps you guys put your acts together and improve your customer proposition.

First time going here. I didn’t get anything besides a simple bacon egg and cheese sandwich, some coffee and croquettas. Let me tell you it was heaven! I’ve had breakfast sandwiches all over the nation, this one is going in my top 5. Simple and delicious, I don’t know if it’s the butter or the Cuban bread. What I do know is we will be back. Most definitely!

This used to be one of my favorite spots. Over time staff changes have made it less so.
Simple courtesy is lacking. No apology for errors. Not a service oriented approach.

Great place to grab breakfast and coffee! I prefer coming here than Starkey Market. Yes you will wait 5-10 minutes for a sandwich but it’s made to order and it’s worth it!

The best Miami Cuban sandwich ever*****the pork on them is amazing, service,
Cafe con leche, plantains, black beans and rice, guava/cream cheese pastry, etc!

UPDATE: I brought my daughter and sister-in-law to Havana Dreamers today and was highly disappointed. My daughter usually loves eating their plantains, but today was absolutely awful. It took them about 30 minutes to bring out the plantains we ordered. When a lady brought them out in a bag she said "I normally only serve about 3 or 4 pieces, but I gave you some extra". Seemed like a nice gesture for making us wait so long. EXCEPT, they were pitch black and charcoaled. You're not doing anybody a favor serving charcoal food. It looked like charcoal and tasted like charcoal. Unfortunately I didn't hear my daughter tell me about it at the moment because it was too noisy in the restaurant. She told me about it again later in the day and I was so mad she was eating it! She shouldn't be eating charcoal and you shouldn't be serving that!

My Miami Cuban was very good. My friend didn't care much for his Picadillo meal. The soda machine lacks carbon. He informed them. They said they were going to change it. But got distracted and never changed it. When we entered, they weren't busy, but the counter person was standoffish standing back. It wasn't until another person asked if we were ready for them to walk forward and take our order. Maybe this was an off day. Maybe it was too hot out. I don't know. I enjoyed my food, but will most likely not go back anytime soon.

I went to Havana Dreamers after a Facebook page I follow recommended their Cuban sandwich. The name caught my attention. A cute little café in Trinity, only 10 minutes from home.

They have a Tampa Cuban or Miami Cuban sandwich. I went with Miami as the Tampa adds salami, and while I'm sure it's delicious, it just isn't what I wanted.

The sandwich was loaded with slow roasted pork seasoned to perfection! My only complaint is that they either forgot to add pickles or there weren't enough on there. I honestly didn't taste any pickle. However, the sandwich was DELICIOUS without pickles.

I also ordered a cafe con leche, because how dare I go to a Cuban Cafe and not order a cafesito? !

reviews has Havana Dreamers Cafe rated at 4.6. I would have to say this is a very accurate score. Had I had pickles, I might have given 4.8

Got the Cuban sandwich, I think it was $8-10, standard prices nowadays.
Food was pressed hot, fresh, authentic and made to order.
Taste was unbelievably awesome, the chunks of pork in rojo was something I hadn't had in a LONG time. Can't grade Havana's high enough.

The version of a “Tampa Cuban” is not. They do not have deviled crabs anymore and the stuffed potatoes are a little bigger than a golf ball, store bought and cold inside when served. The pork in the Cuban was old and dry. The Cuban bread was good and pressed perfectly.

*Update- Within an hour of eating, my future ex-husband (lol) and I both had upset stomachs and 8 hours later, still not feeling right.

Found this gem a couple days ago and had to try it out as I love a good cuband. I got the Tampa Cuban. This one of the best Cubans I have ever had. The pork is cooked to perfection and the bread is truly pressed to perfection as well. Everything about this place is just unbelievable. I will absolutely be back SEVERAL times over. Very well done to this restaurant.

I stopped for a cuban and coffee. Everyone was so kind. The cuban was the best I have had in a very long time. I will be back for sure.
