Hazeltine Nurseries, Inc. reviews
15The staff is very helpful! They even offered to help me revive my orchid that was bought there 2 years ago!
DISASTER. Should be renamed POUND SALT Nursery. How this hopeless company has survived for 30 years is one of the great mysteries. Sold me a hedge and 3 oaks. Looked good for a week. Followed the recommended watering regimen for almost two months. Half the hedge is dead as is an oak. When I alerted them that the plantings did not look good, they said “sorry bud, no guarantee. ” If you want that you need to buy the maintenance agreement. After no reasonable response to my request for help, I physically went back to the store and asked to speak to the owners. The salesman said they were out of town. He didn’t know where or when they’d return! I sent an email to the president. No response. They have plants but nothing else. $1,100 down the drain. Steer clear. Consider Craig’s Landscaping or Duque’s Palms. GREAT PEOPLE, SUPER SERVICE.
1st time in today. This was an amazing nursery! Very abundant selection of plants and extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff. Super reasonable prices too.
Our family will definitely be back for more!
Went to see what type of small trees or bushes I could use to plant for an area in the yard to create some privacy. The staff member gave me some suggestions which I thought was very helpful. I will take her suggestions and make my choice. Good place to shop. Liked the inventory and customer service.
Personal service from their rep, who looked at my photos of location, made knowledgeable suggestions and took us through greenhouse to see the plants. No pressure to decide.
Have reviewed plants and rates are reasonable will be purchasing and have crews working at some point!
Very Happy with the 4 trees I just purchased last week. (Barbados Cherry, Cat Palm, Screw Palm, and a wonderful Frantoio Olive) They look fantastic and add a unique special touch to my yard. Helpful Friendly Staff. Thanks much to all for their assistance and careful loading so my trees made it home in great shape!
Dealing with Chris Langlois the new purchasing agent has been a pleasure. This place is top of the line they offer an array of products most of the employees Ive dealt with there are knowledgable and personable. A+ buisness
Waiting to see if they put my fence back up and put sod in that are there. There is sod in most other spots. They haven’t rolled the sod to make it smooth or watered anything. Will submit a higher rating if and when they decide to do it right. This shouldn’t have taken a week so far and someone should have started watering by hand last week.
I went to Home Depot on Jacaranda to get flowers. The most rude lady (employee with her apron on) standing there in the middle of the plants. I asked if she could help me. She replied harshly no I work in plumbing. After a very brief couple more questions I decided this was not the place for me and left. That was fate as I found this nursery. I was greeted by a most pleasant lady that promptly and politely answered my questions, took me to a section where plants were under mossy oak trees, which I needed. I purchased three. Thank you for you polite prompt service. Home Depot could learn a lesson from this wonderful nursery. Oh and on a side note the same plants at home depot were priced twice as much!
My landscape project consisted of sod, concrete patio, sand pit and boulders on 1/4 acre. The lack of communication between departments, project managers and employees has resulted in poor quality workmanship and multiple delays. The original time frame quoted was one week.it’s been 4 months and it’s still not complete.
I hired them to install a paver patio and firepit. I got a quote in September 2018 and they did not start the work until a few days before Christmas, after I emailed them asking for a start date. Then they installed the wrong pavers in a large portion of the patio and more than 30 of them were broken or damaged. The foreman said they were supposed to look like that. I contacted the VP (who gave me the quote in September) he came to the house and told me he ordered the wrong pavers. They eventually replaced the broken pavers. My last contact with anyone there was April 9th, I was still waiting for sand to be put over the pavers. Then nothing.for months. Yesterday I got a letter stating I had an outstanding balance and if it was not paid by September 10th they would turn me over to collections/small claims court. I contacted the VP again and he said the job was done but I didn't see anyone put sand down. I am so unhappy with this whole experience. Next month it will be 1 year since I hired them. Never again.
IN RESPONSE TO THE REPLY MADE BY HAZELTINE: This job was absolutely NOT finished in January, you were still replacing broken pavers in April - your paperwork is incorrect.
Should have known better! We didn't have a good experience in helping with plant selection while we were at the nursery and found out while we were checking out that they do not guarantee their plants. But we thought "why should we worry? " we thought the plants would be fine since we were purchasing them from a nursery. Little did we know that the plants would not do well.we did everything we could to keep them going. This weekend, we had to replace the last of them. $400.00 down the drain. Even worse, while my husband was removing the dead plants, they didn't even root, even though we planted them properly. Needless to say, we bought plant replacements at Lowes.at least they guarantee the plants and will replace them for free if they die!
2 months ago we purchased 8 shrub plants, we planted all of them in the same area, 5 are doing great, 3 have died. When I called to ask if they stand by their products she just stated "no". We have spent hundreds of dollars there buying our landscape. They have lost my business, I will now go elsewhere.
