Went in on October 16th for hip replacement surgery. What a wonderful experience with all the staff, Doctors and Surgeon. How does one begin to show their appreciation for the care and immediate attention to my needs, questions and help. Fantastic organization. Thanks to everyone who helped me through this process.

I took my sister in law in last Monday because of a fall. Several skin tears from below her elbow to the top of her shoulder. Also pain along her ribs below her shoulder blade. Triage was very quick, doctor ordered Cat scan of her back, neck and head. My issue is that they didn't clean or dress the skin tears until I asked. Discharge nurse didn't even know about them. She finally put some pads and gauze on them, no cleaning or ointment and no follow up instructions. Most bandages had come loose by the time we got home. Followed up with primary care, they ordered wound specialist to the house. She finally got proper care but the nurse was amazed no bandaging had been ordered or any follow up with wound care or primary. Very disappointed!

The WORST nurses by the emergency department we were verbally assaulted and threatened and instead of being assisted we were kicked out most likely due to being one of the only POC in that moment. Staff was very unprofessional will be filing MANY complaints

My husband was scheduled for a carotid angiogram procedure at this facility recently. Elite professionalism and a smooth patient experience from the moment we walked in until the moment he walked out was evident. Parking is an issue unless the free valet is utilized. Very capable comforting hands on deck was our experience. Thanks again everyone!

I went into HCA Bayonet Point Hospital on 6/17 after a 2 hour tonic clonic seizure in 6/14 caused a bipolar manic episode & I didn't sleep for 3 days. That night, they gave me a benzo Restoril/tamazapam to sleep but I am sensitive to medication. So the next morning, 6/18, I went into a catatonic state for maybe 2 hours & listened to the staff blame me, saying I had to be a secret IV drug user. BECAUSE I WAS AWAKE DURING THE WHOLE TIME, BUT PARALYZED.

The madness of my stay only got worse from there. They ignored my reporting having seizures in the room, discontinued my treatment for headaches and bipolar mania, and became preoccupied with 2 other mysterious conditions that arose during my stay (liver enzymes skyrocketing, then intussusception) and apparently resolved on their own without any treatment for those issues. Various neurology reports conflict regarding the location of seizure activity in my brain, and the neuro hinself told me his notes were all wrong.

On top of that, I witnessed what I consider to be abuse/neglect of an elderly patient with dementia down the hall from my room. Every night she would scream "HELP ME! HELP ME! PLEASE! NURSE! HELLO! " at the top of her lungs for several minutes, & the staff would walk past the room and act like it wasn't happening. One night at 11: 45 they had her door shut but I could still hear it several room down, and the nurse Courtney & her trainee Laura were in the hall sitting with computers and texting. Laura said "don't go in there" & Courtney said "I'm not. " I went to my doorway & confronted them about it, but they sat there & tried to convince me that their nonaction was appropriate because "she does this all the time" & "she doesnt need anything" & "people have gone in there dozens of times today". AND SHE WAS STILL SCREAMING THE WHOLE TIME. I went off on them, the nurse went to check on her finally but talked to her like a dog, "WELL IF YOU DIDN'T GET OUT OF THE BED YOU WOULDN'T CAUSE ANYMORE PROBLEMS! " while Laura tried to blame bipolar mania for my getting upset about a woman screaming for help for 5 minutes. Turned out she had dropped her oxygen mask & couldnt reach it or see the call button, like they would've answered that anyway.

Then my other roommate in the next room, an old man recovering from a stroke, would complain to every staff member that his "bottom" hurts, but they "don't have the bodies" to lift him up off of the bed so he came down with a surprise bacterial infection in his urine because he had open sores in his groin area that they stopped dressing because the bandages would get messed up again. Yeah, they talked about everybody's problems so loud that I heard it all.

Did I mention that toward the end of my 10 day stay, after I was asking the new doctor questions about why they weren't doing the small bowel series xray that they had just made me wait 3 days for, but forgot to order me to fast for, the 3 g.i. Doctors left the room & 1 said "you just want to punch him in the face"? Because that happened. June 26.

This hospital is the worst I have seen in my life. Also, there is an OXYGEN LEAK OVER THE BED 2431-1, & they won't fix it. They just let it leak all day & night over the patients. I reported it to them, & they blew it off. The air is also broken in that room, but an O2 leak could blow the place up.

Edit 9/18: Hospital & HCA did their own investigations & concluded that they did everything perfectly & that I am mistaken. They corroborate none of my allegations. Thank goodness I sent update messages with my phone to family while inpatient for 10 days! It makes for a pretty reliable journal.

Edit 10/13: I was removed from my 1st room because my new roommate was the father of the fiance of a tech who worked on the wing. She got mad that I could hear their conversations, which included the patient and son talking about "their enemy" the cops being on the wing, like theyre Sons of Anarchy, and arranged it so he had a private room that she and the family loudly hung out in past 2am.

Dr. Carl Shenkman needs to be seriously investigated. If you were ever treated at this facility by him, you should request your medical records and seek action against this facility and him. HCA Bayonet Point is a danger to citizens.

Very disappointed with this hospital. I worked here in 1994 and thought it was the best hospital I ever worked at. We left the area and recently returned. Although I am a retired nurse, I wanted to return to the work force in a minimal capacity. I was hired via a recruiter which was a complete disaster. 3 weeks of back and forth and numerous phone calls and texts, we finally were able to get an offer letter to hire me. I had my drug screening and my picture taken for my badge. The nurse who did the screening was very nice and mentioned that the orientation was set for September 18th which was 3 weeks away. The hire date was coming near and no phone call email or text was ever sent to confirm my start date. Never heard from the hospital or HR again. At this time I would not consider working at this hospital. If this is how they treat new hires, no thank you. Give this job to some Newby that would accept this type of behavior. Shame on this hospital and the HR department.

My husband was admitted to this hospital aaa a possible cardiac patient. They kept him there for 4 days. Ran two tests and some blood. In those 4 days they had him NPO FOR 3 of them. With no. Fluids running through IV. At all! We seen a cardiologist one time and he was so completely rude and obnoxious as. I don’t even know. Only plus side was the hospital Dr. Alex and nursing for the most part we’re very nice

Went to the hospital for breathing problem was admitted with pneumonia was put on the second floor.the administered nurse comes
in to give me a breathing treatment I needed something to discharge the phlegm that was coming up ask for something to discharge it in the response was it's not my job you need to get with a nurse which I felt was very absurd to be told and she caught an attitude because the next time I needed her for a treatment she took her time to get to me.she did take care of me and give me my treatment never came back to shut the air system that runs the nebulizer off. When asked for assistance you're told give me a moment but the moment never comes or it's forgotten after two three tries of asking you might get lucky to get what you need. Moving on the patient next to me showered and left a bit of a mess I asked to have an orderly come to clean it up so I can get a shower after 2 hours I asked again finally got it cleaned only the water on the floor never cleaned the shower or toilet area needless to say I didn't shower then for the two days beds were not changed rooms not cleaned the debris that was on the floor when I came was there when I left and hygiene essentials were not offered you're on your own when you ask to have someone help you the reply is it's not my job or you need to speak with a nurse they use the word I'm sorry so frequently that it loses its value in meaning the last straw for me was a breathing treatment at 6: 00 that evening ask multiple times when I was going to have it administered keep being told they had a bit of a backup I understand but at 10: 00pm I finally broke when asked what happened to my treatment they tell me they had to reorder what should have been reordered prior to this time meanwhile I'm choking hardly could breathe was choking so hard that my body was aching and painful the replies but it's not my job need to speak to somebody else I finally had it I discharge myself left there at 10: 30 p.m. The care system at this hospital needs to be straightened out it supposed to make patients comfortable not irate and upset the compassion the caring to go the extra mile for the patient needs to be improved not it's not my job or you need to speak with such and such I know the hospital has there guidelines but we are human and the simple things should be taken care of not pass the buck

The hospital saved my wife’s life. The nurses and doctors were very good to us. I am glad she was in their care.

My surgeon was phenomenal Dr Hudson and Rodriguez, the hospital was really horrible, they didn't change bedsheets or check my wounds, they never got me out a bed to sit in the chair or something, PT came in and they got me out of bed for like a maybe 3 minutes. The only time they came in was if I rang the bell and I'd have to wait to get my meds. It was not my choice to go there I had gone to oak Hill hospital and they had to transport me to bayonet point because they have a trauma center and not a very good one, guess that'll teach me to break my back. Okay I guess I'm done with my rant

I went here 2 different times in the ER for pains on my right side and throwing up after eating and etc, they took x-rays and a CT scan and said they couldn't find anything wrong with me, I have been dealing with these pains, not being able too eat and throwing up for almost a year, the first time I came too this hospital was almost a year ago now and that was the first time they told me they couldn't find anything wrong then I went back a few months ago and they took scans again and said they still couldn't find anything, they didn't even suggest using an ultra sound and i felt very rushed too get me out of the ER,
Thursday morning I couldn't sleep again because l was having these pains and instead of coming here I went too oakhill, throwing up and in alot of pain they took me very seriously and they did an ultrasound and CT scan and found that my gallbladder was very inflamed and I had gallstones, they admitted me right away and had me in surgery Friday morning too remove my gallbladder. This makes me very upset! Considering the fact if I didn't decide too go too Oakhill hospital I probably would not have known that I had gallstones and it would have gone on longer and possibly gone into jaundice, no thanks too this hospital!

If I was able to leave 0 stars I would absolutely worst hospital I ever been to. I tell them I can’t breathe and they have me sitting there for 2 hours I even asked for a a breathing treatment oxygen anything and they did nothing make sure if you gotta go there scream bloody murder so they think your a psycho and need help cause apparently that’s the only way to be seen when I asked them why Is it so hard to get a breathing treatment then said “ oh your talking looks like you don’t need one” and at the point I pulled out my iv and walked out not caring
Very rude, unprofessional, dirty, staff doesn’t know what there doing as well
If I’m dying with only seconds to live I would rather die then go there
And it’s sucks cause I literally live right down the street. This hospital should go down in the guiness world records for the WORST HOSPITAL EVER. So since I left there now still can’t breathe and now waiting at a different hospital what a day!

Might want to check out your options before coming here-my wife’s been sitting in the emergency room since yesterday with no food because she needs test that they don’t seem to get around to doing them so maybe she could eat some food. Ridiculous…

I took my uncle, 81 years old, to the emergency room this past Saturday, 9/9. He had a mini seizure while sitting at the dinner table due to some cranial bleed. We arrived at the emergency room at 7: 30 pm and I explained his situation. He was seen by the emergency doctor at the emergency waiting room and we were told that he would be admitted for observation and testing. We never saw the inside of the emergency room and were left in the waiting area for almost 5 hours. He was registered at 8: 54 pm although we had arrived at 7: 30 pm. He was triaged in piecemeal form at the waiting area. After waiting for almost 5 hours we left as we were told that they had no idea when my uncle would be admitted as there were no rooms available. I have never experienced the unprofessional way in which most "emergency" patients were treated at the waiting room. I will never go to Bayonet Point ever again!

I have been coming here to this ER for years and never had any complaints or problems until now I was there yesterday 9/5/23 I came early afternoon I checked in at the desk now they ask for your SSN to get you registered. After I was sign in I was seen by the nurse that took my vitals and looked at what was going on with me & then she said that she was going to get me my discharge papers & I could go home. I told her that the doctor hasn't seen me yet. So I Sat there for 2hr then they finally bring me back into another waiting room & I sat there for 3 hours before they finally put me in a room & When the Dr finally came into the room he look at what was Wong and walked right out he wasn't in the room more than 2 mim he didn't say anything about what they were going to do. They didn't even give me any antibiotics while I was there for the problem they even forgot to put an IV in me while I was there. I spent 8 hours there when I got discharged and let the hospital by the time I got to the pharmacy it was very late at night & they said that they didn't have that medicine there and that I would have to wait a couple of days to get it. This is the worst visit I had coming here. They need to take care of the patient better

My husband and I went to this hospital due to him having severe pain and trouble walking. Expecting to get a proper diagnosis and treatment. They did no tests although his condition required; At least an X-ray ultrasound or CT scan to rule some things out. They only perscribed him antibiotics without a proper diagnosis. Which this prescription never got sent to the pharmacy. Not only did we waste our time, money, and gas. We received horrible treatment and services. Especially from the nurse practitioner whose name is RJ. He was cussing in front of patients and very unprofessional and has very bad bedside manners. Now my husband is still left untreated without his medication that they said they sent but never did. Very disappointing and my husband is left untreated without any meds. Please do not go to this hospital!
