HCA Florida JFK Hospital Emergency Room

They put me and ny daughter in a little room did an exray the doctor visited once and then we were ignored for hours while my blood pressure machine kept flashing and beeping.

Sandra B.from Environmental does an excellent job of cleaning my husband's room 2129. She is very pleasant and helpful.

Overall my experience was good, wait time was decent, staff was friendly and professional. A little disappointed that for type of injury only an X-ray was taken when an MRI should have also been performed to evaluate my tendons, ligaments for my meniscus. Rather than stall me waiting for all these appointments it should have been done as part of my “ER” visit.

It was a breeze from the time I entered the emergency room until the time I left. So much was done for me in so little time. All the staff was so caring and nice. A pleasant experience. Thank you!

House keeping Sandra B. Is the most amazing woman! Her kindness, bright personality, smile and heart was medicine in its own. Her drive to do her job is beyond what could be asked of JFK. She is a blessing to anyone who comes in contact with her. Thank you Sandra!

One of the nurses clearly didn't know what she was doing drawing blood and caused me to faint by being arrogant and removing the needle without putting a bandage which lead me to bleed heavily all over myself and my clothes I fainted for almost a half hour and my bf who was with me was not informed until I texted him I woke up in a different room and the nurse didn't even need to do all that because I already had a working IV in my arm which she would have known if she hadn't been so quick to assume it didn't and just ask her coworker for help but yeah that was traumatic because I kept having panic attacks afterwards and her co worker had to calm me down

This was my first time at JFK Hospital ER and I was pleased with the attentiveness, friendlessness and professionalism of the staff.

I actually had a very good treatment and care during my ER visit however they billed my insurance company over 29,000 for a CT scan. How is that even possible to charge that much money? The administrative charge was $3,700. Total bill was over $40,000. Fortunately I have insurance and this was in network but this was totally criminal if I had not had insurance. Also, if I had Medicaid the State would have had to pay the whole amount. Watch out if your don’t have insurance or a super high deductible.

First of all, I was very happy to see an empty waiting area. My Dad was taken in by ambulance and was already treated and ready to go by the time I arrived 20 minutes later. The staff was very nice and attentive to our needs.

I speak fluent french. The amount of racism demonstrated by the conversations of the bulk of the creole staff was alarming. Hatred is not ok. The talkk was not isolated to a hatred of black Americans.it was also toward the country as a whole.

Bad experience and nothing made it better. Sat in ER for 5 1/2 hours to get a sonogram. Nurses called us liars for saying we had been waiting for hours. The sonogram nurse lied saying she had been looking for me for hours when I was sitting in the same room the whole time. Next day at the pharmacy, could not get pain reliever because ER filled out the prescription wrong and did not follow the law when it's a controlled substance. Finally, caught a cold sitting in the ER

I was treated badly. As I was given an overnight catheter that I had to change the next ďay. Even though I came early enough to get a correct foley bag from incidental radiology.

I arrived by ambulance at about 12: 30 with a head wound. Waited in the waiting room for about 45 minutes. Then was put into a curtained room. Waited at least an hour for someone to look at my head and clean the wound. Then another hour to have 11 staples to close the would. Then at least another 2 - 3 hours to have a head CT. When I returned it was back to my 'room' i waited another hour for someone to read the CT - I wasn't discharged until 6: 30 am! I was freezing, had no shoes and no one offered me a blanket (besides the bloody one I came in with or socks.

As most of us know nothing matters if we are ill, our health is everything. I had yhe Misfortune of having to come to the emergency room at JFK South however the staff there especially a nurse named Caroline in the ER she was amazing in addition to making sure I got the right care she fed me took care of me and made me laugh and she's awesome and the entire staff in the ER are awesome. I thank you all. I am on the way to being healthy again and it's because of you.
