HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital reviews
20Most inefficient hospital ever. Every nurse and doctor will kick your concerns to another department or group. PT is an after thought, they can't even follow menu orders from the room. Do not send elderly loved ones here - they will be allowed to sit in their bed all week. If you need any kind of assistance up or down they will not do it. Why don't they assign the same nurse when possible? Had 5 different nurses and aids when some were there multiple days. Patient care and health needs to be assessed holistically. Couldn't get an echocardiogram ordered by cardiology in an entire week. Seemed the cardiologist doctor gave up on Wednesday and decided to discharge but case management and hospitalist Dr couldn't coordinate discharge evaluations before Friday and my loved one got to spend the entire weekend waiting for transitioning to a rehab. All because they let them sit in a bed all week and lost precious strength.
This rating is for Dr. LAMBIE specifically. My 80 year old grandmother was brought in by ambulance for a severe fall and head injury. The nurses were kind and wonderful, but Dr. Lambie seemed to care more about his "numbers" being messed up by admitting my grandmother. He discharged her, unable to walk, dizzy, nauseous and thankfully the nurse arranged for transport because she has no portable oxygen. He expected me to drive an oxygen dependent person, without oxygen over 30 minutes home at 1 in the morning. Just because a CT shows no brain bleed, doesn't mean she doesn't have a severe concussion, which she DOES, since I had her taken by ambulance the next morning to an actual caring hospital. Not only does she have a concussion, and couldn't walk on her own, but she was in severe pain and is also oxygen dependent. You would expect someone with his "years of experience" to actually care about an 80 year old woman who fell and couldn't walk unassisted, but I guess throwing a title around and years of experience was more important.
Absolutely the worst medical care I have ever had in my life over ten days there before I had to be transferred to advent health Orlando due to theme and
Everyone was so nice and made me feel so welcomed, especially Rachel from your imaging department. What a great team.
Go somewhere else! I think the nurse manager was high when they spoke to my family! Blood pressure medicine was out for 20 minutes and I asked the nurses and they continued texting on their phones.
Pleasant staff. Overall great healing experience. Thank you to all the staff who helped with my recovery.
Greg is going home today and he would like to thank each and everyone of the caring individuals who helped him during his time at this healing hospital.
The ICU team helped my terminally ill mom get well enough to travel home to Michigan to be with our family. I am so grateful for them, especially Kim, Lance, Anna, Sam and Dr Hassan. She was grateful too.
She was surrounded by love and support in her final days. With the help of medicine prescribed by this team and hospice care as soon as she returned home, her symptoms were minimized until the very end. She passed comfortably in her sleep. Thank you.
I was taken to the ER by ambulance. I had no idea where I was, I was alone. Dr. Pelly my nurse Jeanine and everyone there was AMAZING. Unbelievable care. They took such good care of me.
Everyone was exceptional with care. Making me feel comfortable and getting me ready to go home.
Listen ima start by saying if you suffer from sickle cell I feel sorry for you bc they really don’t care. I literally just been sitting in here with a fever and pain and they failed to consult with my hematologist. They really treat all sickle cell patients the same and it’s truly sad! They got me sitting in here as if I don’t have a wife and kids home that’s waiting for me. The nurse leader came in here like for what she did absolutely nothing to help! My wife had to call up here and they’re lying acting like nobody knows anything! I thought the nurses supposed to advocate for you the only nurse that really genuinely tried to help was Kyeesha. It’s sad I work and I have a family and it’s sad that if you live in central Florida with sickle cell they don’t care at all. Someone please tell me I’m wrong bc this not right this hospital is trash I’m just sitting in here wasting time get me better so I can get the hell out of this hell hole
Everything was good until I was discharged.after being discharged the paper work was not ready so I sat in the the cold lobby for 2.5 hrs waiting for the discharged papers
Had to go to the ER for a severe migraine, I had Dr. Mitchell and Jeanine they were both amazing. Dr. Mitchell is literally the best and one of my favorite doctors there, he’s extremely thorough and very kind. Jeanine was truly the sweetest and kindest soul ever she was the best nurse I’ve had had in an er visit and really went above and beyond to help me in any way she could. Super grateful for her kindness and compassion during that rough time
I was unable to care for self and was discharged to my home along. Could. Barely make it to my door and within a week spent days in hospital followed by rehab. I was so weak at home I feel
And hit my head
Recently had surgery at HCA Lake Monroe. Had the best experience starting with Pre-admit, Pre-Op, Surgery, Post-Op and Rehab. All the Nurses and Techs were professional and attentive to my needs as a patient. If you need surgery, I highly recommend going to HCA Lake Monroe.
I was greeted like a friend. Registration was fast and the mammogram was a breeze because Rachel put me at ease and got 'er done.
You'll be sorely disappointed if you're unlucky enough to have any treatment at all here. Just, don't.
Excellent care from the Heart ICU. Outstanding nurses, therapists and an exceptional cardiac surgeon. Grateful for the care I received.
If I could give this place a minus 10 stars I would. I got the worst care ever. I have COPD and occasionally exasperated. This time I was real bad. My oxygen was no higher than 84, I had no energy, and kept passing out. Couldn't breathe. Was taken to triage and has vitals taken talked to Dr assistant. He told them to take me straight back to room and get me taken care of.
They took me back out to er waiting room instead. 45 minutes later finally took me to er room to be taken care of. Waited in room for half hour before nurse came in to take care of me. Drew some blood and ER Dr came in asked 2 or 3 questions then left, nothing else said. All of a sudden they want to hook me up to some serious blood thinners. With no explanation told me I had blood clot close to heart. Scared me bad. My breathing got worse from fear. Was admitted still no explanation. The nurse I had the first night Jose was excellent. After that the care got worse. I would.not recommend this hospital to any one. I will not be coming back. Ever since you went from advent health to hca lake Monroe this has been the worst place for care.
My experience was great ever one was really caring kind and checked on me every couple hours and they made sure I got plenty of rest while been under care
One of the most horrific visits to an ER ever! Constant arguing with staff and total lack of organization. It got so bad that after waiting 2 hours (and I was requested to come by the doctor that had treated me the previous evening) I called my Daughter to come get me as I was in too much pain to continue seating there. The staff even took a Hispanic lady before me that had been there less than 30 minutes. Horrible!
