HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital

Rochelle LPN and Chuck PA. Were the best health care providers we have ever incountered out of all the medical places we have been to here in this state. They were very hands-on they had good spirit they had wonderful bedside manner and if I was able to take them everywhere with me for the rest of my life medically I would. Please give these 2 a raise and a vacation as they so deserve it. Just want to extend our thanks for the wonderful bedside manner these 2 have provided.

Although it was necessary to be admitted, I will never allow my doctor to admit me to this place ever again. I spent the first 12 hours there with no orders meaning no food or drink & no IV- all while I was severely dehydrated! I was discharged another 12 hours later still not having anything to drink, nor were they able to find somebody that could properly put an IV in me for fluids. I was discharged, went home, passed out in my kitchen, was sent to another hospital and admitted. I had a severe electrolyte imbalance. I was also severely dehydrated, also by this time, my kidneys weren’t functioning properly (dehydration, and lack of fluids and electrolytes can be really dangerous.) And it took four days to get me back to normal, which is what should’ve happened at the first hospital I was at. Lawnwood. My potassium was so low, my heart went into arrhythmia, They were very negligent. And had I not gone to another hospital, I’m not sure if I would be here to give this review. Lesson of the day.: choose your hospital wisely and get second opinions if you feel you are not being properly cared for!

I go to the hospital today since 12 o’clock am they are asking me what’s going on I told them 3 o’clock I still waiting on the check on me I had a headache and my stomach hurts I go the work I can’t stay at work because my pains and they still don’t take care of me they make take 3hours sit down after I asking them what y’all want me to do go home the man said if you want to and his mad I was go in the parking lot crying wit my pains on 09/15/2023 anyways thank you y’all appreciate it!

Everytime I think Lawnwood has improved they show me other wise. It is now 8: 20 pm. I have been here since 7am starting in the ER. I was admitted at 12: 30 pm. Since that time they have been trying to reach a Dr. Shah for a GI Consult and medication approval from my normal daily list of meds. This Doctor is the Hospitalist on call and his not answering or responding to voicemail. So I have to lay here and suffer do to Dr Shah's lack of concern for patients need at this HCA Facility. I can't receive any
medication listed on my list of meds without approval from the Hospitalist (Dr. Shah). If I want to leave, they want to me to sign a form saying I refused service. Eventho Im not receiving the quality of service I should be receiving. I'm out here come morning. Cleveland Clinic has to better this place.
It has been almost 24 hours and there has not been any response from Dr. Shah.

They destroyed my sisters life with testing antisychotics on her when she just had inflammation in her brain, these ppl aren't doctors nore specialists, all they are there to do is keep you alive then they wouldn't let her leave unless we suggested brain shock therapy, they wanted to fry her brain. Thank the LORD we found a Christian Hospital that gave her a quick recovery.
HCA is a test facility for new interns don't go there unless you've been in a accident.

The staff and nurses that I've had taken care of me are truly amazing. I couldn't ask for anything more.

Two places that I hate going to: hospitals and funerals. It’s just uncomfortable because you never know what to say. However, I didn’t feel that way when I visited a neighbor at HCA lawnwood hospital last week. There was a huge parking lot and I was able to find a good close spot. You walk in and check in at security. They take your id and give you a sticker to wear. You are also scanned with a metal detector which I have no issue wirh. Everyone I interacted with in the hospital was very kind, professional and friendly. My friend was on the 4th floor. The nurse kept checking in on him making sure he was okay. Hoping I don’t have to visit again but if I do I know that it won’t be uncomfortable

HCA outpatient staff and hospital services have always been amazing, providing excellent customer service and appreciate the Valet service more than they know

My experience here has been amazing! From labor and delivery to postpartum recovery I have nothing but good things to say. The nurses Rachel, Lucy, Shaneid, Kathy, Amber, and AMY were nothing short of amazing. Unfortunately I don’t remember everyone’s name but everyone on the second floor has been great to me! Jojo from lactation was very helpful she came to my room to help with nursing information. My baby is in NICU 3 and the nurses here that take care of him are WONDERFUL! SARAH and KERRIE HAVE BEEN SO HELPFUL AND KIND AND THEY ARE GREAT AT KEEPING ME INFORMED, (no matter how many times I call a day lol) I feel so much better knowing he’s being taken care of by the great nurses in NICU 3 especially being a first time mom with a baby in Nicu it’s very hard. Julie, Kaila, Paige, Lena, Patty, Margerie, Dr. Lopez, Dr. Smith, zoey, Veronica, Aubrey, Taylor, Allie, Tara, Melanie, Wendy, Emily, Lindsay, Anthony and everyone else in Nicu 3 (sorry can’t remember all names) respiratory therapy and speech therapy, are wonderful and I’m so grateful for their help And the ongoing care for my boy. Even thanks to Maria in Nicu 3 who helps with the clean up. Thank you to everyone here on floor 2 who has helped me get through this pregnancy during and after and taking care of my boy. If you’re choosing between hospitals I would definitely pick LAWNWOOD in fort pierce should I ever have to choose again this hospital will be my first choice!
The only complaints I have are the kitchen and security after 8. The employees aren’t very friendly when you call the phone # to order and they forgot to bring me food twice while I was there. But thankfully Amy the nurse on floor 2, took care of it for me.
Also something needs to be done about the security through the emergency room after 8. ITS HORRIBLE! They have no idea what they are doing the older security guard seems so lost it’s ridiculous! When the hospital goes on “lockdown” he picks and chooses who he lets in. Something needs to be done about this it’s not ok. I just gave birth and My baby is in Nicu and I can’t go up and see him, but he lets in a women to visit her grown child.

Nurses Nicole and Evelyn were absolutely amazing, very kind and professional. I’m not giving the whole 5 stars because the emergency room was really packed, and my son had a room at 1: 00 am, when we arrived at 4: 30 pm. Other than that, when we got the room, the nurses who took care of my son were so good too. Nurse Jack was fantastic too. Congrats on your wonderful team.

I don’t understand parking. I tried parking in emergency center but no parking spots available. My daughter had a hard fall on her head and I had to act fast. I park next to the emergency on Nebraska Ave and some rude lady came out saying I couldn’t park there and that my car was going to get towed and have to pay a fee of $300. I tried explaining to her about my daughter who’s in my arms with a HUGE bump on her head. She said she didn’t care. I don’t understand bc it’s still part of the hospital so why can’t I park there? If someone could explain that would be great

Mrs Shamekia H. Is absolutely amazing! She was exceedingly kind and caring for my entire stay. I can't say enough how please I am with having her there. HCA you are blessed to have her working for you

Excellent! My family member was treated in the emergency room recently and I cannot thank them enough for their care and compassion. The team was professional, efficient, very knowledgeable, and truly exceeded my expectations! Special shout out to Nurse Elizabeth, Dr. Winans, and Dr. Bach for their fantastic care. They were amazing!

I spent two nights in Lawnwood hospital. I was in room 516. I had wonderful care by nurses Jessica, DIANE & and all the other girls on the floor

Nothing is getting done. ER was almost 8 hours to get her in a room. No caseworker assigned or Doctors making any head way. Cafeteria is a joke. I can’t believe for a hospital this size it is t better

Customer service was very bad. Whoever I just talked with over the phone if you don't like the job just quite.

Nurse Chris and Nurse Sarah from the E. R were super nice and made me feel very comfortable!

Tesia Baker with food service was the sweetest. She made sure all of my needs were met and deserves the very best
