HCA Florida Normandy Park Emergency

This place is a real joke. All they wanna do is give you medicine and send you on your way. I just came in with a tick bite worried about lyme disease because I have a bullseye mark and they literally just looked at it and wrote a prescription. No test or anything to see if it is in fact lyme disease. This isnt the 1st time something like this has happened. Someone needs to check into this place. I think they just hire anyone off the streets to work here.

Absolutely the worst hospital I have ever been to. Came in with my sons heart rate at 170. Told them he was having chest pain he could barely walk and his eyes where flickering up and down. The security lady up front says sign into the kiosk. Shocked as to why this wasn't considered an emergency but signed in really fast. Sat in the waiting room for at least 10 long minute's while my son clutched his chest in pain. Finally called back the nurse the absolute rudess person I have ever seen brings us back. In no hurry at all she says go into room 2 there was rooms everywhere and I was in panick mood so went to go to the wrong room, she raises her voice at me and says room 2. We finally get in the room, I get my son laid down on the bed I was sitting on the bed next to him. She says that I can't sit next to my son on the bed I need to sit on the chair so I did because I just wanted them to do vitals. After another 10 minute's they finally got vitals, heart rate at 156, blood pressure 146/86, which is very high for a young person. She left at the lowest pace I have ever seen anyone walk and didn't say anything to us. Another 5 minute's later she can in with an ekg machine. Hooked my son up, he was shaking so couldn't hold still enough for this lady for she told him not asked him. HOLD STILL in a very very rude voice. I'm trying to ask her questions which apparently she isn't interested in answering and after the ekg she walks out. We finally got another nurse which was a sweet heart. She brought my son a blanket and got an iv in him than the doc came in. The doc was very nice but basically told us sorry don't know what to do about this. We will hang some fluids and if it doesn't come down we will give him meds. After 1 1/2 and my son still shaking and heart rate still high I asked for the meds to calm his heart down and the doctor told me no it's calming down itself. It was still 110. We sit another hour by this time when they came in and asked my son if it was better he said no his chest still hurt really bad they finally came in with meds to help. We sat a while longer, my son finally feel asleep heart rate still 105 asleep. Doc came in by this point I had been told multiple times there is nothing they can do for him so we asked to go home. Stayed up all night watching my son with a heart rate still of 105 the next day at 2 pm. Thank you for ruining healthcare for me. I have never in my life met such rude people. That nurse doesn't belong working with people, she gas no human compassion. This hospital is a damn joke

Horrible care! Dr. Mui & Dr. Atteslty (spelled it incorrect but you know who I mean) are both bad. They both made my wife seem like a bother and act like they have better things to do. They look at us with no real answer shaking their heads with arm and palms looking unbothered, show huge lack of concern, and simply just seem like they’ve lost passion for their important roles. Both Dr’s and Nurses don’t communicate with patients and they show that display of lack of care along with always busting veins. I always recommend to simply pray to God to heal you but I heavily encourage that you do that instead of going to this ER go somewhere that actually cares for your well being and know they get paid to help people not just to show up, get paid, then go home. I pray they can come to realize what they need to act like especially in their roles, nurses included.

Dr. Attesley & nurse Christina should be ashamed of themselves. Was treated her 2 days ago for strep and went back due to swelling and rash on my body. Dr has 0 bedside manner. Came into the room rolling his eyes and arms crossed, very unapproachable. Dr Attesley proceeded to tell me how I needed to take antibiotics for my infected tooth which is not a thing. I was on antibiotics for the strep. And when I told him that wasn't what I was seen for it was strep he became physically visible that he was irritated with me. Which made me emotional then nurse christina asked what was wrong with me and when I said they made me feel like I was an issue and I didn't want to be there anymore her response was "well, go then. We aren't holding you hostage. " Absolutely unprofessional and disheartening that this is what this place has become.

DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION. I really did not want to give one star. I took my 8 year old granddaughter there. She was very sick, crying, and moaning. After 1 12 hours she was placed in a small room to be triaged. After 5 mins I went out to find out when the nurse was coming in because my granddaughter was moaning. The charge nurse Kimberly came in. She told me I will be in here when I get around to it. She gave me a nasty lecture. That was it for me. We left, took her to Wolfson and she was triaged and saw the Dr within 30 min.

I took my wife here for her having symptoms of a allergic reaction, she was totally dismissed, nothing was done to confirm nor deny this, the doctor came in talking about her tooth & then he was corrected & i told him i was concerned she was having a reaction to a steroid she was given 2 days prior at this location which might i add no labs or test were done, they justt hrew some meds at her & had us in & out in 20 minutes no way they could have done a proper diagnosis & was told it is impossible to be allergic
to a steroid & she was told to go home & take some benadryl & when she expressed her concerns on how she was being treated she was told to leave that they don't hold people hostage. I'm not a doctor but I do know there can be serious complications from taking a steroid.

I'm very confused of what just took place & concerned for the safety of future patients that may fall victim to this kind of treatment from this staff. Their lack of proper diagnosis & treatment is going to end up killing someone. This is a textbook case of malpractice. I will be speaking with an attorney about this matter.

Brought my wife here to be told to wait in the waiting room for her entire visit. Never again. I do not recommend this place at all.

Thus place is a rip off! They couldn't find out what was wrong with my son and just gave him pain meds. Now I'm still receiving bills from 6 months ago! They bill for every service separately. Then they don't share insurance information so I have to call in with info every time. Go to a real hospital! These people are not experienced and money hungry. That's why they're popping up all over.

I have been there twice and find the entire staff. To be attentive, empathetic, and friendly it shows that they like there jobs and really enjoy helping their patients.
I would make them my primary if I could.i spent less time and got better care there than I do from my doctor's office. Almost wish I could work there.

I have been a patient here few times. Most experience has been good. Most recent involved a rude, judgemental Nurse Practioner, Marie, who was the first one to me. She immediately violated my HIPPA rights in the lobby area trying to do intake there, where there are video cameras. I didn't have anything to hide, but I know my rights. I asked to go back to the designated private area for patient intake. Her response, "Why, we are the only people in lobby"? (It's an ER. Anyone could walk in at any moment.) There was no legitimate reason for her treatment and handling. I refused to discuss in public area, but she was in an "interrogation" posture in lobby. Her legs spread, arms crossed, standing over me in a semi-block so my body didn't have room to move. More like a interrogation at police station. It was so awful that I chose to leave the facility since it felt like a police station. I'm a retired Healthcare professional corporate mgmt early senior. Do better, HCA.

Our first night of vacation was spent in this ER. I was blown away by how incredible the staff was. Attentive, kind and caring. Clean free standing facility. Shout out to everyone who helped us. You made the worst start to a vacation a little less stressful.

This Urgent care is very unprofessional! This the worst Experience me and my minor child ever received! I would not recommend!

So I am 22 and barely have health insurance and I went in because a family member was rather worried about me. I was coughing up blood and frequently having nose bleeds and I had 1 xray taken of my chest. I sat there for about 2 and half hours waiting to hear "your fine" and then bam 9k dollars charged for nothing. The front area was seemingly bothersome to the desk lady but the nurse in the back was nice and friendly. When I asked what was going on after a long wait the man at the desk in the back was reluctant to talk to me.

My Mom was taken her by ambulance after a car accident even though we preferred Baptist Oakleaf. The check in person was rude, the staff while polite were inattentive. They didn’t even bandage her bloody arm until right before they sent her home and she had to ask them to do it. Horrible. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. I would literally rather die.

I was seen there, my condition only worsened over 7 days time, I was seen by my primary and discovered that I was misdiagnosed.: (

Went yesterday sat in the room for over 2 hours and talked to 3 different doctors for a total of 10-15 minutes maximum just for them to tell me I have a viral infection and there's nothing they can do but still wanted me to pay $500
