Staying at NW medical center was GREAT. From the Drs the Nurses, the person that check your Vitals, the PCT. The ladies that keep the room clean on the 4th floor. And Maria from Food services, Even when I didn't want to eat she found a way to leave little things just to see if I would eat.
I even forgot my charger and same day I received a call and they kept it for me.
Just an amazing hospital with staff that really, I mean really cares. I wish I could remember all their names just to mentioned each individually because they deserve it. This is not just a job for them, it's a passion.
I strongly recommend this hospital.

This health have being improve the service but mostly in the medical area that it is what matters. 4 years ago was totally a horrible and bad place where nobody care about the patient and I said this because I went with my husband who almost die during his time there. But to be honest Iam surprise of the diligence, kindness and efficiency in the service this days, I was afraid to go to this hospital and for myself after the bad experience.unfortunately as everything it is some people that still doesn’t understand that work in this area means consideration, respect and kindness so though people should be just kick out, doesn’t help the patients nor your reputation. Thank you to all the good ones, God bless you.

Everyone was so kind! It was nice to be greeted with smiling faces and nice people. I had to get a CT and an ultrasound and everyone was so helpful in those departments.

This hospital experience has been the worst experience at any hospital. Three weeks before this last visit my 83 year old dad went to ER at this hospital for a fall. He was laying on the garage floor for about 5-6 hours. They wouldn’t allow me to go inside because of covid. We gave EMS our contact info, list of Rx & history of dementia. They told me to wait 1.5-2 hours to call the nurses station and check on him after he’s settled. Found out after speaking to 4 different people they released my 83 year old father with dementia (noted in his file as well as we told EMS when they transported him to the ER) to walk home at 8: 30pm in the rain! He lives several miles from the hospital an no one looked at the report EMS took or in their own records to call me as emergency contact. Ended up calling the police to help search for him and luckily my daughter found him on the street walking the wrong way. When in world has ANYONE in the history of the world been seen and released from the ER within 1.5 hours? Their answer to me- “He seemed like he was very with it. ” On his patient portal it says he came in for a scraped elbow.

Next visit 3 weeks later, I called EMS because dad was slurring his speech not making sense, I thought possible stroke. This time I went inside and he was admitted after 9 hours. No one gives you any information. If they do, it’s usually contradicted with what the next person says. The staff does not communicate with each other. I dealt with 2 staff members that were outrageously mean, childish, disrespectful and had no empathy whatsoever. After the 4th day of testing and no answers they said they were moving my father to a skilled nursing facility they were waiting on the neurologist to sign the discharge so I took the day to tour all 4 facilities they gave me to choose from. Next day-waiting for approval from facility, Next day- waiting on a bed, next day- waiting on covid result, next day- waiting on insurance approval, next day- insurance denied, waiting on medical board review. Finally, after 5 days of unnecessarily being in the hospital he got transferred at 9pm to a completely different facility. They tell me on the last day, “By the way, the insurance stopped paying for his stay here 5 days ago! ” So much more went wrong but honestly I’m exhausted from making so many phone calls to nurses, case managers, insurance, skilled nursing facilities, MRI department, doctors & administration I don’t have enough energy to continue writing this review. I’ve given this hospital too much of my time doing the job they should have been doing.

The worst experience I ever had at any hospital, your hospital is the worst in the world. Your staff are very unprofessional and rude. Your Covid-19 Protocol is the worst in the country.

This review is SOLEY based on the ER nurse Anthony Imparato! God knows he was awesome in assisting my husband! There is NOTHING/NOBODY else that made this experience a 5stars but I couldn’t go lower because of him! He is TRULY an asset! Each and every step of the way! We chatted about Chicago but he was a blessing for us!

Words will definitely not be enough to thank all the staff that took care of me while I was hospitalized for 5 days. I feel extremely blessed and spoiled lol yesss you read it right spoiled lol the team at North Medical Center took care of me and I really felt secured and cared for. All of them from the lady that served my meals Marianne I hope I’m writing her name right lol to the doctors, nurses and the cleaning ladies. OMG! God took care of me through those angels. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND North Medical Center to absolutely everyone in need. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to every one that cared for me. ️

ER was outstanding. Room housekeeping outstanding as well. The main problem was that an unstable paranoid schizophrenic with multiple personalities was admitted on cardiac floor and was my cell mate. She constantly was telling me to stop touching her inappropriate or questioning my ulterior motive when ever I went to bathroom. Was tpld to ignore her but impossible to do. She kept getting dressed ready to leave really keeping staff ultra busy.

Friday she had a psychotic break starting at 6 A with constant screaming that sounded like a fire alarm. She was banging her head on the wall any flailing out at staff. Staff were trying to reason with her and did not seem to know what to do. After-more than 30 minutes I was ready to leave and told them they needed to call security. Felt my well being was in danger. Needed Ativan after she was taken out.

If you admit such patients to general floors the least you could do is train staff on working with a totally out of control patient

Her presence in my room delayed needed medical attention such as a badly infiltrated K infusion. To this day it i do not have full use of left arm and wrist

On top of that I did not get breakfast because I had been accidentally scheduled for my cell mates procedure and could not talk nurse out of it. Normally would not be a big deal but was taking large does pf K which caused GREAT Abdominal pain with nothing in stomach

If the psychotic patient was not there I probably would not have any complaints. The situation was not fair to me, staff or the psychotic patient. It was very frightening

Literally the best hospital experience I've had so far! Every one was GREAT! Super helpful. I felt so comfortable. Knock on wood but if I ever ended up in the hospital again. I'd want it to be here!

Gosh where can I start? I was there 09/22/2021 going into 09/23/2021. FROM the Moment I entered the ER until I left. From check in until check out. I was sooooo blown away by how amazing the ER doctor Dr Matthew Slane was with me along with my nurse Paige. Everyone was so caring and nice. The growth I saw from many years ago I was always terrified to come visit. But I have never felt safe and cared for by this entire team! Please continue keeping your employees happy because EVERYONE was so kind to me. Although I was ill I made my way to visit Dander Donuts at 2 am to drop off a whole box of donuts that’s how grateful I am for your team. Stay amazing each and everyone of you! And Doc your one of a kind!

I gave birth to my handsome baby boy in September with the help of Doctors and Nurses at Northwest Medical Center. The service/experience was unmatched as they were all pleasant and ensured my delivery went "smooth". A big thank you to all the staff, even the food service staff. We appreciate you guys!

I was truly surprised with the attention of all staff. I can still remember the names of everyone that took care of me. Samantha in the reception. And all nurses
Male (Roti lol), Maya and Jacquie. You guys rock! I have no words to express my gratitude! NMC should never ever let you go! And Sandra that took her time to make me feel calm putting my 2 IVs and bringing Mr. L (Leni) to talk to me. Thank you so much for everything!

The nurse, who was an agency nurse was personable and established a caring connection. The doctor, however was dismissive and lacked empathy and failed to establish the caring connection that Northwest Medical strives to achieve. Horrible bedside manner. Did not address my pain. Did nor give advice for follow up to get to the cause of my pain. Very nice nurse. Very disappointing experience with a doctor who did not even touch my abdomen to see the source of my pain. Also, a stethoscope was not used on me once in the ER. How do you assess a patient without that important step?

Northwest Medical Center has improved by a million fold from a few years ago. I was at the emergency room and everyone from check in to the doctor to the nurses and paramedics were absolutely INCREDIBLE. Everyone was caring, attentive, quick and really interested in my well being. The CT tech was kind and quick - which I appreciated! I wouldn't hesitate to go there again (hopefully not anytime soon, sorry!) and I highly recommend Northwest Medical Center to anyone in need of a wonderful hospital.
