I am revising my original review as I learn about my new plan. To Health Sun's credit they have an answering service pick up the phone when the lines are busy. The problem is they don't identify themselves as such. The Rep that called back informed me that they will always call you back within 24 hrs! (This is a 5 star health plan? 2x I was cut off by member services this morning after requesting that they send authorization to my new Dentist. Third time rep told me he will have someone call me back. I asked when will they call me back? He said "Do you want them to call you back today? " Then I asked another unrelated question about the plan and he said "I have no idea. Why don't you ask them when they call you back? " ARE YOU KIDDING ME?)

Worst insurance ever. Worst clinics ever. Nothing but stress and lies. They had one of their medical offices call me over 11 times in one day. I was super upset and called the insurance right away to figure out what was going on after receiving 11 calls. TWO people from Health Sun explained that this insurance works with people that are not able to schedule their own appointments and that they were calling bc i might need assistance to schedule. 11 calls in under 45 minutes bc you wanted to help me to schedule an appointment. Um… thanks? Naturally I was upset—You don’t call someone that many times in one day to schedule an UNWARRANTED drs appointment it’s extremely unprofessional and kind of weird especially when the person never asked for an appointment to begin with. I even asked the insurance rep several times if I was dying? If there’s a rule with them that I have to come in right away? Or what the situation is that I need 11 calls in less than one hour. I asked the insurance rep if we had the option of when we scheduled our dr visits bc it didn’t seem like it…I was assured they were just trying to provide assistance to schedule me. I ended up requesting to file a formal complaint against them for the 11 calls in one day and asking that this clinic stop calling me… THEY ARE STILL CALLING TWICE A DAY EVERY DAY
Today I received the results of that complaint and their story has now changed completely. They are blaming me! They are now saying I had 3 scheduled and missed appointments and that’s why they were calling me excessively on 1/5. LIES! The insurance became active on the first and the 11 calls were on the 5th. I had not had time or a need or a desire to schedule ONE much less THREE appointments- they are total liars. They also said their transportation was calling me somewhere in their 11 calls— yet I never requested transportation nor would I- I have my own vehicle. This is all lies, again. They do not respect patients and they lie to try and cover themselves. I truly regret changing to this insurance. If you choose to go with them, make sure you love receiving multiple phone calls a day and getting borderline harassed.and forced in to a drs appointment. AND for the record, THEY ARE STILL FKING CALLING ME!

My husband needs a dentist job with the specialist and his clinic Penate and HealthSun Health. Honestly, I think both playing a game with their older patients. Please, touch your hearts and stop doing who is going get more money and after that my husband had change his Health Insurance for next year. After the new enrollment HealthSun Health Plans started sending a total of 12 insurance cards I called to stop sending more, but they don't listening. Please, be a professional people.

Lilliana Hernandez is a case manager for health sun, she does not care about the patients. I was a social worker who at a skilled nursing facility and she got me fired for advocating for a patient. She is lazy and does not care about your loved ones. She just doesn't want to any extra work. With people like her representing healthsun I would never sign up for their insurance. Her boss is also named Lilliana and is exactly the same. Your loved one is a number and a dollar to them. Nothing else. They're rude and lazy and the fact that they are in healthcare is actually scary.

I am happy to have chosen HS for my insurance. The doctors are great and the service is outstanding. Just don't go to Hiatus, this is the busiest clinic they have and the staff is not very friendly.
