Very poor follow up it took 2months of phone calls to get my refills. This time doctor did not send them now I am having to call every at the office NO HELP. Oh finally they sent the prescriptions but not all of them.

A terrible place to go if you have health problems and the clerical staff lacks sufficient knowledge and training. Their lack of communication skills as well as their lack of compassion, is appalling.
I have been sick for months. It takes weeks to get in. I had to cancel my last 2 appointments because I didn't have the money to pay. Still sick, I called the front desk and begged to be seen without money and was given an appointment. At my appointment, the rude little dark haired receptionist at the dirty little downtown office demanded payment almost immediately after I told her how grateful I was to finally be seen even though I had no money. She also told me that it would be $150 because I didn't have proof of income. I was so humiliated I left in tears.
Not one to give up easily, I called to make another appointment. I was #12 in the queue. When the phones get that busy, the receptionists just start hanging up on people so I went to my patient portal to request an appointment. I'm still waiting.
All I can say is if they are your PCP, don't get sick.
Update: I just left the ER. Apparently, all this time, I have been fighting a little virus, but my body couldn't do it on it's because of severe mineral deficiency that probably showed up in the blood work that I did for Heart of Florida that was never gone over with me because I didn't have the money to pay.
Got a good laugh though. My discharge papers told me to follow up with Heart of Florida in 2-3 days.
Update: Someone named Judy left me a voice-mail. I just tried calling back. I was number 10 in the queue, so I decided to wait. Counted down. A few minutes after I was told I was number 3 in the queue, I heard ringing, then different music. Another 5 minutes went by and I got hung up on. It's lunch time for them I guess. ER doctor wanted me seen no later than yesterday.
At this rate, I will die before I am seen.
The saddest part is, I have lymphoma. And Heart of Florida knows this because Regina in the Belleview location is the one who told me. I even sent her a letter last month begging her to fit me in but I never heard back.
Maybe I will try again this afternoon.
Another update, same day as above, Sept 19,2023,1: 40 pm, I tried calling back. I got patched right through. I actually got excited. It rang twice then silence. Nobody spoke. There was no music. Just silence. I waited 10 minutes and eventually hung up.

The worst place you can go to. Unfortunate it is the ONLY place that you can go to that has the sliding fee scale. I would not recommend if you can help it.

My appointment was at 2: 20, I arrived much earlier, they let me in right away but then they made me wait for about an hour without any information. It seems to me that they play with people's time.

Came in two weeks ago, I am a type one diabetic. Doctor put me on new insulin and gave me a prescription two weeks ago. I’m still not able to pick up my prescription because “ the way the doctor wrote the prescription”, the pharmacy tried to get a hold of the doctor, two weeks ago, and still nothing. I have been on and off the phone during these two weeks for my insulin still nothing. I’ll have to be in the hospital with kidney failure before they decide to give me my insulin.

They’re extremely disrespectful and unprofessional on the phone and they never answer. I’ve called seven times today and I still haven’t made it through and I’ve also called other locations and they just pick up the phone and put it to the side and then hang up after 30 minutes. But the doctor appointments are pretty straightforward and easy.

I have been waiting for 40 mins and one of the nurses had the nerve to complain that my kid was being too loud and all she hears is him banging. It was rude and if it’s such a problem don’t have people wait past their appointment times.

My friend is too nice to post so I will. They did not listen to her wants or needs. They did not physically check her until after she was over due. They handled her belly very roughly even after she was overdue to the point it hurt her terribly. Then to top it all off They scheduled her for an induction when she would be ten days late and even she begged for them to move it up they gave her zero empathy, and left her distraught and miserable while refusing her.

Nurse practioner. Cristen Cox wasn't patient with my daughter she was more focus on chatting instead of assessing the patient. She was definitely in the rush she asked me was there anything else when I started talking she stated it's getting late make another appointment we can discuss my daughter concerns. I don't think she enjoyed working with
African American children. I will definitely call my insurance to switch up. Dr Teresita was the best im not sure why they switched me with someone else that has no clue of prioritize your patient first. She needs to assess the patient first instead of typing like a coding specialist. Chart afterwards. Show more professionalism. If she has no answer don't send parents to place other appointments parents are busy. Hope the facility provide nurse practioner cristen Cox a medical book

I've been a patient for over a year and at I can say they are overwhelmed with patients and there care is horrible. They constantly encourage you to use the app to communicate with them but they respond when they feel and in my experience they don't respond at all. I was given wrong medicine for my condition, I ended up in the hospital anyway. I'm looking for a new Doctor. They will let you die your just a number.

This place is getting worse so drastically each time I come with my kids. People that apparently is suffering doing their job. The waiting time is every time more extensive. This administration is definitely turning this country in a banana Republic. I really don't feel that we are in the United States of America any more. This is a real shame!

I received the most amazing care here throughout my pregnancy. The maternity/prenatal team are phenomenal and became great friends to my family and I. Couldn't reccomend them more.

This place is a nightmare the receptionist most often are Arrogante, don't take emergencies o new patients and if you try to make and appointments take months but if you go cash the amount is crazy I give 1 because no options to give none star.

I had an appointment in November of 2022 the Dr.had to leave several times to check with her supervisor for answers on questions I asked. I received refills at that times also did my blood work the next day. When it was time for refills I did their Healow app after five days and no refills I called. I asked where are my refills and is anyone gonna discuss my blood work. I was just brushed off after 16 days I finally got my refills. (Blood pressure, anxiety and cholesterol pills) three days later I discovered I didn’t have a much needed medication. I called they made me make an appointment for the refill. I did waited two weeks they called three days prior to the appointment which was on 3/24/23 telling me my doctor was sick they had to reschedule until mid April. So I’m in the middle of a gout attack and they won’t refill my prescription. This place does not care about anything but “payment”

Highly disappointed in the children’s dental program. My kids’ appointments keep getting canceled. This last cancellation was on the day of, after arranging a ride from school & early release. It’s even more frustrating because the appointments are booked for months out. I’m definitely calling their insurance for a recommendation for different provider.

I had appointment at 9 am. I waited and waited. The receptionist told me the other 5 ppl that came in after me was seeing a doctor I was getting lab
work. None of the receptionists behind the desks were paying attention to to the patients. I waited a hour then she says no one seem you. This place need better workers

I want a way to contact who ever is over head of heart of florida. The woman at this branch was extremely rude from the moment I walked in she had a sour look on her face and when I mentioned I have no income she gave me a sheet to fill out. Then demanded a copay and clearly I was not advised I need to have cash or card om hand I didn't. I was informed my appointment will be canceled and I will he denied any further appointments. I waited a long time for this appointment and no one informed me of what I needed on hand. And proceeded to be rude about it and waste my time. I traveled 20 miles to get there 1 way. I want an apology and a voucher for fuel cause I need an emergency appointment and now in the pain I'm in have to search else were. I wish I had read the reviews and avoided this slump of a place.

Been out of my medicine now close to a month. One is my diabetic medicine and the other two are my antidepressants. I have made several calls and keep getting the run around. This is absolutely unacceptable! I never do reviews but I believe others should know how bad this place truly is.

My mom visited this location to get a referral to Shands because she spent 4 days in the hospital after discovering that she's suffered multiple mini strokes in a short amount of time. It was all over the hospital paperwork that she needed that referral asap. Dr. Z assured us that she would send the referral as soon as she received the records. She's had the records for over a week and has yet to send the referral. When my mom called she said she was discussing it and then she will let her know. There's nothing to discuss. My mom spent 4 days in the hospital and came to you to get a referral to a SPECIALIST and you're dragging your feet. If anything happens to my mom while waiting for you guys to get your things together, it's on you. Disgusted.

AND of course the horror continues. There's been multiple times where you have made it to where my mom has ran out of her anti depressants and you guys wait 2-3 weeks to refill them, WHICH I'M PRETTY SURE YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO DO. Anyone knows you're not supposed to just stop taking anti-depressants because of the effects it can have. She's called dozens of times just to keep getting the same run around. This place is garbage. Don't go here. They don't care about their patients health or well being. It's coming up on 3 weeks with my mom being without her meds!
