American Restaurant Henry's reviews
11First time there.it was great. Sat at the bar with Eric taking care of us. Food was excellent and the service was top notch. We're going to be regulars!
Place was packed and seem to have limited waiters
Food was great and came out quickly once ordered
While the dining area is spacious and well appointed, it was still noisy. The food is not exceptional and rather costly. For a modest dining experience it was more than $50.per person.
Food was decent, quality of the food did not yield the costs being charged, similar to a Toojays with higher costs. The beer was not cold. Service was rather slow. We were definitely the youngest people in there in a full establishment, and we are in our 40"s. It must be near a retirement community or something, or atleast, I felt as if we were having dinner at one. My kids were sure a hit. All the older patrons and staff, loved them being there. The hostess was very very sweet and welcoming. Probably wouldn't return from this past experience. It took over an hour to get our meal and check, which ruined the night as we had plans after in downtown Delray.
Had lunch there and really enjoyed it. The quiche of the day was delicious. Looking forward to trying it for dinner.
We were a group of 9 for lunch, and booked the table earlier since Henry's had an even-larger party at our preferred time. Our waiter was very efficient and accommodating. The food was excellent for everyone in our group. It's a well run restaurant.
Food was very good and the service was exceptional. Clean bathrooms, ample parking.
We will be back for sure!
Our food was cooked wrong repeatedly. The manager offered to get us something instead then we were charged for it and had to fight to get it taken off the bill. Neither our server or the manager came around to check on us after the first time the food was cooked wrong. We ended up being there for 2.5 hours. Some food items were good, most mediocre or bad. Even my martini was bad. I will never dine there again.
We eat at Henry’s once a week and we love our waiter Lee.he makes our experience wonderful and he’s so personable and he gets everything right! …He really is the best we’ve ever had! The food is really good but we wish they’d put the Chicken Francaise back on the menu.if you go, sit in the Bar and ask fo Lee….
We were a party of 8. The appetizers were good
However, when it came to our entrees 3 of the dinners came out of the kitchen cold. The manager came to our table to see how we were doing and we explained the situation. He immediately took the 3 plates back to the kitchen to get hot meals. By the time our plates were brought back to the table the other5 diners had finished their meals. We proceeded to ask for take home containers instead of making everyone wait for us to eat. Instead of immediately competing the 3 meals it was like pulling teeth to get him to give 50% off the 3 meals. They also charged $14.00 for a drink just because ice was added to it. I know of 8 people that will never go back.
This restaurant and the people that go there are all living in a time warp from the 1970’s. The patrons are mostly senior citizens and the menu is from back when they were young. Menu items like chopped steak and turkey meatloaf among other dated dishes. These would be fine if they were exceptionally made but they were not. The chopped steak arrived raw and the turkey meatloaf was dry and hard. My wife had the split pea soup, which was ok. This restaurant needs a makeover in more ways that one. I guess they are catering to their older customers but overall not impressed and we will likely not return.
