7I understand when employees are put in situations out of their power and have to deal with unhappy customers. However, when you purposely place the phone off the hook because you dont want to answer questions, then tell me in a smart way you have no vehicles even when im holding a reservation number after showing up in person, i have a problem. *** take your business to ENTERPRISE*** right down the road. Excellent customer service and more sanitary (honestly)
Thursday March 5th we went to 560 Terminal Dr in Naples, FL to rent a car from Thrifty for the day to drive back to Ft Lauderdale. Apon arrival a man in a Hertz black polo “helped” us. He was a white male with shaggy dirty blonde hair (not wearing a name tag) at 11: 00A. M.
I had rented a car from thrifty on our way down to Florida at the Ft Lauderdale airport. I turned 25 on this trip and am from Ohio. That being said, I’m in the process of getting my new ID. I had my “old” ID with my paper from the BMV stating that it was my official ID until my new one arrives with everything you need on it.
In Ft Lauderdale the lady gave me no issues.since it is currently my CORRECT and LEGAL form of ID (even had my passport). However, in Naples, the Hertz/Thrifty guy told me under no circumstances was this allowed. That the person in Ft Lauderdale messed up and they couldn’t rent with me again.
We asked to speak with a manager and he snapped with a smirk on his face and said “I am the manager here. ” We said there must be somebody else we can talk to and he just looked away and continued to tell us we couldn’t rent.
The other person who I was with had to rent the car instead. Which I wasn’t comfortable with, hence why I was going to rent it again. This was unsafe and made me uncomfortable. They were not in the right position to rent a car nor drive, but because Buddy at the counter didn’t care to do his job, he had to.
I am beyond disgusted and upset with not only Thrifty but Hertz as well for having an employee so cocky and unwilling to work with. Get with the times. Learn about other states and their ID’s. My form from the BMV is certified, legal, up to date, the only form of ID an Ohioan would have during this transition time, as well as having numbers and a website to look up for verification purposes.
I, and my friend, will never rent from Thrifty, Hertz or Dollar again thanks to this employee and his ignorance to a legal, current, up-to-date state ID.
Mike makes it bad. Go to ENTERPRISE where the service is FAST & FRIENDLY.
Hertz owns Dollar Rent A Car, so it is one-stop rudeness. Mike the manager is not nice.
Mike is very rude. I went to Enterprise and rented a car there in five minutes.
It was a wonderful experience, the service is excellent, very attentive and professional team, in general they provide an excellent service
