Hertz Car Rental - Lakeland - East Memorial HLE

Would leave 0 if I could. There was always some reason right after the other on why we could not rent the car.we reserved online a month ago and was never notified we had to be 21. We had to have a major credit card and that person would have to be IN person. If we couldn’t provide all of those. We had to pay an extra 500 dollars and guess what. STILL COULDNT GET THE RENTAL. So here we are the day before we’re suppose to leave for a 2 week 6 state vacation trip and no way to go. Claimed that hertz has no control over then rental insurance and has no part in the already paid insurance being refunded. Not to mention him peeking over my shoulder as I’m doing banking on my phone.

Fernando (branch manager) is the ONLY reason this location rates more than “-️” He’s a professional with a professional, kind personality who talks to you like a grown up. Seriously, the day he leaves this will be like every other Hertz location: staffed with calloused, vacant eyed employees who carry the Hertz Manyra faithfully: “We don’t need your business, but by all means try and call somebody! ” Fernando, thank you - you likely deserve a much higher salary!
PS despite the website and the hours posted here on google, this branch is CLOSED on SATURDAYS

Changed my return location to this one, the parking lot was atrocious, and the staff there would not return my phone call even though it was a simple transfer from airport to this location. Staff eventually warmed up when they realized my request was simple.

Great friendly location not alot of parking space but they make you feel welcome. If it's busy they'll still acknowledge you attend you as soon as possible and if your rental isn't ready they get up from their desk to make sure you're leaving in a good class, clean smell good vehicle I recommend them 100%

Arrived around 2: 50 to pick up my reservation that I made for 3 and I wasn’t even acknowledged by the one employee there until 3: 30. I didn’t get attended to until around 3: 45 because phone calls were coming in and the employee chose to respond to those first. My reservation is for Thursday to Saturday and was told that I can’t return at this location on Saturday because they’re not open anymore. They said they’re doing me a “courtesy” by letting me return it to the Winter Haven location instead of having me pay for the rental until Monday. I strongly advise not to rent from them either because they add more charges on top of your reservation as well as the lack of professionalism that I experienced.

The site is located on the corner, but it is not a lot of parking for customers and they have limited staff so it is strongly recommended to reserve the car and do as much of the details online!

Horrible. Why bother calling? They WILL NOT answer. If you want convenience, and someone who will answer you questions, go ANYWHERE else. Guess I will not be extending the service, as there is no way for me to get in contact with this terrible terrible establishment. Would give 0 stars if I could

They are very courteous friendly and eager to help in the cars are wonderful the service is excellent

If I could give zero stars I would! The only reason I went here is because the lady who hit and wrecked my car her insurance chose this place to get my rental. Over 1.5 hour wait and still no one helps me! How is that alright? I get theres other people needing cars too but learn how to hussel! And of you have an appointment to pick up at 9 it shouldnt be 10: 30 before you talk to someone! This place shouldn't be open!

Please do not visit this location if you want to leave with a vehicle. I made a reservation a month ago. Today upon arrival to pick up the vehicle I had to wait about 35 minutes to be attended. When it was my turn the agent noticed that the vehicle had a work order on it and they could not rent out the vehicle. They offered me a 300 but this is my personal vehicle and I was specifically looking for a Tesla. I basically left the location with no vehicle no help no offer and the manager did not really care. The sad part of the story is that the person that went and picked up the vehicle from the charging station was the district manager and he didn’t even notice the vehicle how to work order. I will be filing a formal complaint with corporate. In any other situation I would’ve been OK with any other vehicle but the fact that I specifically rented a Tesla and it was done a month ago is what bothers me no one paid attention to their job.
