Higher Ground is the best experience I've ever had at a car repair shop. Their knowledge, expertise and honesty are above and beyond anywhere I've ever been. They have saved me money several times. Most recently by telling me my dieing battery was still under warranty by Subaru. I got it replaced free. I love these guys!

Normally performance shops make me nervous, but upon walking into Higher Ground, I felt right at home. Ken and Mattea are very kind and passionate about what they do. I immediately knew my subaru STi was in good hands. They are honest mechanics who know what they are doing. I would go back in a heart beat! I highly recommend this performance shop. Hands down the best of the best!

Bought a 2008 WRX. Brought it to Higher Ground to have them check it out, and let me know what it needed. Ken is awesome. Walked me through everything he checked, and explained in detail every item that he found. Including the stuff I said I could do at home. He still took the time to make sure no detail was left unchecked. Ken also went out of his way to schedule a time that I could make, since I work usual business hours. Could not be more impressed with this place.

Absolutely so glad I was referred to this shop. Ken and Mattea are not only amazing people but do amazing work and their pricing is fair. I don’t know where my Baja would be without them!

This is some of the best service I've had for my Subaru. Owning a Subaru it's hard to find a place that'll work on it AND be affordable, and you might as well rule out good customer service. Not here though, affordable quick repairs with AMAZING service, safe to say this place will be my Impreza's new "primary doctor".

TERRIBLE! Terrible that it took me so long to take my car to Higher Ground. Why didn't I do this sooner!
Made an appt and Ken quickly diagnosed the problem 'clicking and clanking', this after 'another' mechanic had claimed to fix it and another shop told me everything looked fine!
Estimates were fair and the car was worked on in short order. Ken and Mattea were both great and communicated well throughout the process.
I shall be back!

Well worth the trip down from Jacksonville to have some upgrades done and enjoy some good conversation. Ken and Mattea are great.shared some thoughts and ideas about future projects. Will definitely be back in the future.

I am beyond happy with the service received at Higher Ground. Ken and Mattea are two of the nicest people you will ever meet, and it is abundantly clear that they love Subarus and treat every customer car as their own. I’ve had my WRX for five years now and the turbo needed some maintenance with some other odds and ends. Ken not only took care of the requested items, but also took the liberty of going above and beyond and fixing some other small issues he ran across when working on the car. Not only that, but I got live video explanations of everything along the way in real-time. Just an unfathomable level of service in today’s day and age. I cannot recommend this place enough, and I’m excited to use them again for my upcoming projects. THANKS KEN AND MATTEA, YOU ROCK!

Brought in my 2007 WRX while home for a week, Ken and Mattea recommended what I should replace/repair. They got it done in a very timely manner and I drove the car 800miles back home a couple days later with absolutely ZERO issues!

Every time I’m back in Florida I’ll be making sure to go to them for anything my Subaru needs!

If you own a Subaru and need service on it please visit Ken and Mattea instead of going to the dealership. Any issues I’ve had on my Crosstrek they have been able to professionally resolve at a reasonable price. They have earned a customer for life!

Ken and Mattea (the shop owners) are great mechanics and outstanding individuals. They worked on my car to get it ready for rallycross and they gave me their time and advice that got me into rallycross. Thank you for the service and for such an amazing experience!

HigherGround is one of the best trustworthy places you can ever taken your Subaru too! Ken has work on my WRX 19 on a few modifications/maintenance and couldn’t be more happier with the turn outs! I heard about Higher Ground via word of mouth at an Orlando Subaru meet up. I had just gotten my 2022 Outback Wilderness and wanted to find a shop that would be willing to put on skid plates that I was debating to purchase. I called first to ask about pricing, and Ken was overly helpful and patient with all of my questions. When I was ready, I brought my car to him. Him and his wife were very accommodating since I was going to wait for the work to be done. I actually had tons of work to do on my laptop, they set me up in their waiting room and were super helpful right out the gate. There were some customizations needed in order to fit my front skid plate on they clearly communicated the work needed and that it would cost extra. Which I hugely respected. Most shops would do the work without telling you there would be an extra costs. When the work was done they allowed me to take a look at what they had done while the car was still on the lift.

Disregard the bad reviews; it’s just dumb people who think they can no show, no call on a private business order.

Will definitely go back for more work!

Ken and Mattea has worked on both of our Subarus. We have had nothing but great experiences. I wouldn’t trust anyone else working on our cars.
