Hillsborough County Rest Area - Northbound, Ruskin FL

Dirty. The hand dryers are terribly out dated, the vending machines dont work properly and some of them I have lost $ in.

One of best rest area I have come across with ample of parking space and children playing zone too. They gave tourist information kiosk with vending machines for drinks and snacks.
Super clean

This rest stop has to be one of the cleanest I've ever seen, there was no trash anywhere, the toilets was clean and stocked with toilet paper, sinks was clean and actually had hand soap. Floors was spotless. Outside the place was well taken care of. They had vending machines so you can either buy a snack or a drink. Pinic tables so you can sit and take a break. Also a good place for truck drivers to stop and take a rest. Whoever cleans this area please keep up the great work.

Let's face it, it's a rest stop for using the bathroom, maybe pick up some snack which selection is vast and included icecream, specialty drink, etc.
The men's room was ok but it us a public restroom but well attended. I was told there is 24hr security but I did not personally see anyone.
There is a picture of a swimming pool but I have been there a few times and NO POOL.
The picnic tables were also clean and no garbage laying on the ground.

Really nice rest stop, the bathrooms were clean and the landscaping was nice. Also they had several vending machines as well as an ice cream one.

Great location and plenty of amenities. Never saw a security gaurd so be safe! The pay phone located here gave me a good laugh, haven't seen one of those in a while!

Clean and lots of space for me to walk my pup. She was happy to get out for a bit and did not want to get back into the car.

Clean all over. Personnel at work while there. Needs clear signage about where dogs ARE allowed.

Yes I gave a rest stop 5 stars.we travel every month to Tampa from SW FL and this is always the only rest stop we will stop at. Rest area is directly off of I-75 without having to get off at an exit. The 40 plus times I've stopped here the restrooms have just been cleaned. Security guards are always on the property and easily visible especially after dark. Several vending machines for snacks, hot coffee and other beverages.some take credit cards and also there is a change machine. Places to sit and take a break from driving. I have also seen many dog owners taking their pets for a potty break. A few private family restrooms available for those traveling with small children or anyone disabled. Nothing really super special about the rest stop but I have left my car doors unlocked (even with luggage, etc in back seat), always felt safe and been very impressed by the cleanliness of the restrooms.

I stopped to take a bathroom break and all the facilities seem to be working. Did not use the vending machines as I wasn't hungry.

Not a bad rest stop. Actually used it for a bio break. The facilities were clean and you could tell the place was attended to on a regular basis. Ample parking in the front areas. It was it night time when we went there, so can't describe much as we did not see it in the daylight. The lighting was good and adequate for nighttime use. Conveniently off the highway, the facilities are among the best encountered during this journey.

Clean and by far the coldest restrooms in any rest area I have been in through all my travels, and being in Florida the cold restroom is a welcome delight. Better than sweating your behind off.

This is a good place to stop on your trip, stretch your legs and use the bathroom. There are vending machine for coffee drinks, snacks and icecream snacks. It is easy on and off accessible from the interstate. Truck and car parking.

This is the first stand alone rest area that has air conditioning in bathrooms! It was so refreshing after others are stifiling with 95 degree weather 103 degree heat index!

I was here around 8 a.m. In the morning bathroom for clean the place look neat, police patrol.pretty good rest stop thumbs up!

This rest area was filthy. There was so much trash you couldn't walk to the restrooms. The restrooms were filthy too. Never seen anything so awful

Clean and quiet with ample parking, a picnic area and stocked vending area. Well lit, security on premises too.
Plus an actual working payphone!

. I've stayed in rest stops ON MY HARLEY from Florida to Oregon. Have met some of the coolest people working there. If it was not RECORDED on my cell phone I'd find this story hard to believe. AN Old bald nasty security guard at this PARTICULAR rest stop. Seems to have a huge Power Trip or wants to meet the wrong person one day who will not be so forgiving as me.after 1 hour and 30 minutes into legal 3hours rest stay in Florida while sleeping next to my motorcycle on the asphalt because he said I cannot sleep on the bench 5 feet away.the rest area Nazi decided the most professional way to handle this was to Proceed to Kick my helmet and shine a flashlight in my eyes to wake me up after 9 hours of hard riding all day and was completely exhausted. I Asked him what was going on as I'm getting my bearings.put his hand on his side arm pistol and asked me if I had a problem and was going to give him some lip. Him not knowing there was 45 caliber 1911 concealed legally pointing right at his face. He was dead and didn't have a clue. Also his boss was watching heard everything and did nothing. It's old nasty people given a fake badge and a fake sense of authority give men and women trying to help and protect people a horrible name. I've been in security over 25 years. Had to work with several scared officers who were quick to put their hand on their weapon.it was 100% clear he wants to provoke an incident. So he'll get the chance to finally shoot someone like all rent-a-cops subconsciously want to do. For the huge crime of resting. So they don't crash and kill their self or innocent people. I will Neve stay there again and will tell everybody I know or meet on my next 15 mile trip. NENER stop. THIS rest area because you could die there for sleeping. Also the scumbag security has plates of food behind his car feeding a wild raccoon THAT TRIED TO DIG IN MY BAGS FOR FOOD WHILE I SLEPT. The 75 year old Barney Fife needs to RETIRE OR WALK TO THE TOP OF THAT BRIDGE AND DO A SWAN DIVE. I hope no one ever has an experience like that at any rest stop across the country. Because 95% of them are very decent places with very helpful people working there.

Always clean! Safe rest area, always a pit stop for our family (whether northbound or southbound) on I-75! Plenty vending machines and change dispensers. Lighting is great after dark.
