Hilton Tampa Airport Westshore reviews
16This is a great day is the entire room was professionally done. The sleeping accommodations are very nice for the one night staff checked in right away and it is in a great location. I’ll give this a 5 of 5. Highly recommended.
Very disappointed with Hilton. Lady at the desk says they don’t have pillows available today. I find is very unprofessional that a huge hotel chain like this does not have pillows.
They make up additional fees so bring extra cash they may charge you to breathe. They charge extra for “Possible accidents”, but I believe it’s to assist them in renovating their hotel, because the cabinets were literally hanging off in front of the refrigerator. So if we had not reported it they would have blamed us for damaging their already damaged furniture.
Rooms nasty, and not clean upon arrival also had bugs in the bed. When my mom complained they moved her to a different room and the manager stated she couldn’t give her a report on what bugs were found and instead blamed my mom for the bugs stating “there’s ants in the bed because of the food you had in your room”. But what they didn’t know was that my mom was so tired from traveling she literally checked in and slept that first night she didn’t bring any of her luggages up neither did she order food. Of course we were unable to confirm what bugs were found in the bed due to the manager not disclosing the information.
Prejudiced towards people of color- 1 of many examples: My friend and I were sitting under a canopy in the pool area but no where near the actual pool, fully cloth just relaxing. Around 945pm the security guard kicked us out stating “pool closes at 10pm”. I explained to the guard that we weren’t interested in getting in the pool with jeans on but he wasn’t trying to hear it.
Also bring your own microwave because they only have 1 that everyone has to share and I do mean every one in the entire hotel has to share 1 microwave.
Avoid this hotel it ruined my dad’s birthday I will never ever return. Expensive price for cheap treatment.
Had a wonderful stay and the receptionist Liz was very pleasant in making sure I enjoyed my stay from start to finish. Few issues with the AC in the initial room but again Liz was very helpful in ensuring my stay was comfortable.
First upon arriving to the hotel the staff was very friendly and professional. The lobby was clean and organized. I checked into my room flawlessly and proceeded to the elevator where there was a mildew smell as soon as I exited it then got to the room and there was mold spores in the shower. I was completely disgusted and discussed the issue with management and was comped my stay and offered another on them. They moved all my belonging to the new upgraded room and organized everything. After everything the new room and the staff diligence with attention to detail I could not complain any.
Clean room and great service. Close to Tampa Airport and they have a shuttle to the airport.
-Original Accommodations not available upon arrival.
-Moved to a larger room, but made to pay 400.00 more.
-Water leak in the larger room causing my coach bag to become soaked.
-When house keeping request made due to water leak, I was told "No one is doing your room today, it is not your day for housekeeping".
-Once someone actually came to the room, the only concession offered was to place a fan to dry the bedroom floor.
This was by far the worse experience I have ever had with Hilton.
Liz at the front desk and Ana in housekeeping were amazing! We always stay here whenever we're in Tampa!
This is a top notch hotel. The staff was so amazing and helpful. The rooms are nice and clean. The pool was the best it was so warm and there was no shivering lol. We stayed for a long weekend and we will definitely come back again. They have great room rates for the military. They have a cafe and store so if you need or forget anything they got your back. They do charge for parking so keep that in mind. When you go check in have your license plate number available.
My stay was rough on the first day. The first room had a strong mildew smell and I was changed rooms to another room with similar smell. This is supposed to be a Hilton hotel, not a Motel 6. After I was moved from that room, the third room had a non-functioning fridge. Are you kidding me? I’m tired from my 4 hour drive and have to deal with all of this. I chose Hilton on the assumption I would be choosing a quality room from a 4 star hotel. This was all a disappointment and I am thankfully checking out tomorrow.
The third room also has random dried food on the corners, as if it hasn’t been vacuumed. The AC vent here also made a lot of noise on the first night when turned on, and I had to get it fixed by maintenance today.
This is probably the last time I go to a Hilton hotel anywhere. The least management can do is give me some sort of partial reimbursement or credit for a future stay… because that’d be the only way I’d ever give Hilton hotels another chance.
The front desk receptionist Liz needs a raise/ promotion, hands down one of the best employees that this hotel has, very friendly and professional. Made the stay 100 times better!
It's nice hotel.however, for the dollar amount I don't think it's worth it. $200 for one night with a double bed.just seems way excessive to me, however the hotel is actually very nice
I always stay at Hilton’s but was very disappointed by this Hilton. Beds & sheets were not up as comfy & nice as they usually are at Hiltons. Room did look nice & was clean. What was the most disappointing was how we were treated by the staff, as I was there for a music festival & had gotten back to the hotel late so not much going on, there was no microwave in our room but there was on on the floor in the ice room, so I was heating something up in the microwave & while I was waiting for my food to heat up I layed on the couch outside the ice room, while doing so security came up & when I told him I was staying in a room down the hall & just waiting for my food, he accused me of lying & didn’t believe that I was a guest at the hotel. Luckily my food was done so he was able to see my go to my room.
That’s great that he came up to check, & makes me feel safe knowing there is someone keeping an eye on things, but it’s very rude & unwelcome to accuse one of your guest of not being a guest, never had this happen anywhere else ever.
Security staff needs a lesson on how to treat your guest.
I will NEVER stay here again. I will say the staff was nice but everything else was horrible. You have to pay per day to park on top of the expensive room prices. And the breakfast is not free. Not worth the money to stay here.
This is a very tired Hilton with a weak hotel bar and recently added paid parking with no notice on the website (unethical) - not with it
This Hilton location was amazing right across street from International Mall in Tampa. Nearby so many shops and top notch restaurants. The staff is friendly and professional made my stay comfortable and relaxing. Especially Radika gave me Amazing customer service and Aileen from Front Desk was so sweet and genuine in helping me get situated. I cant wait to visit again.
