HitchinPost RV Park and Campground, Cottondale FL

Cute little campground. She had a dog park for the pups to run around in. A little goldfish pond. Some trails in the area. We stayed here to get to the Caverns and Falling waters park. Sites are decent, full hookups and has a table at each site. Owner is very friendly!

Very nice park, convenient location. I always have a nice pull through when I pass through the area.

Stayed here for one night, driving thru to Central Florida. Super nice lady at check in and very nice pull thru sites. A bit warm today. 98 degrees, but grilled outside and then dashed in to eat. Pretty inexpensive using Passport America, and very close to exit from freeway. Elec and water only, but nice place for the price.

1st let me thank you for sharing your experiences at this hidden gem. This was our first stay here, just an overnighter. We've been Rving for 28+ years and full-time for 16 and have stayed at more than a few campgrounds. This is not a 5 star Resort with a swim up bar. It is however a clean and well maintained campground. We felt very safe and comfortable. Easy access on and off I 10 and didn't have any issues with road noise. The owner Vonda offers a wide variety of discounts. We are now going to be returning customers.

The owner is a real sweetheart, salt-of-the-earth, small business person. The Hitching Post is small with limited amenities, but makes up for it with fair prices and a clean, wholesome friendly environment where the long term residents are like family.

Owner super nice an accommodating. Stayed overnight. Back of the campground you can hear traffic, but we were near the front and it was great. Will stay again.

This was our second stay here passing through. We stayed 3 nights and it was very reasonably priced. Both times we had a lovely pull through site with full hook up and a large beautiful grassy area where our two small dogs could run with supervision. Vonda the owner is so nice and accommodating she even lent us a pen so the dogs could have more freedom. The place is well maintained with lots of beautiful trees and flowers. You have to be fully contained because there are no facilities but believe me it’s a lovely restful place to stay…. If the noise from the interstate will be a problem then don’t pick a place right off I10.

Almost all All 80' pull through slots, clean and very well managed! Dog friendly and very very veteran friendly! Vonda is a wonderful lady!

We've been coming here for 2 years. We're gypsies who stay here for months at a time, Miss Vonda is fantastic! She treats us like family, and we love her! She even puts up with our container gardens! Come stay for a night, a week or a month: you won't regret it, and like us, you'll probably be back.

You will not be disappointed. Vonda, the owner, works Hard in keeping her campground imaculate and is dedicated and committed to making your stay a pleasant one. Amenities are limited.

To start, the owner Vonda is such a sweet lady and also very accommodating. We were staying for 2 nights but due to some mechanical issues needed to stay a couple more days.
The park is clean, sites are level and well planned out. The grounds are pretty with flowers at each site. You can tell this campground was well thought out and run with love. There is some road noise but it didn’t dampen our stay. Stop in and enjoy and tell Vonda, Debra sent you.

If you're looking for a quick stop overnight or a few days to hike and fish, these folks keep this place top notch, grass is very well manicured and you're stuck between a fish pond and Love's. Doesn't get much better folks. Paved road is kinda bumpy for half a mile so take it easy. 3.5 M. P. H

Due to a vehicle breakdown we came across this quiet, small privately owned campground with a beautiful lady owner named Vonda. She is kind, thoughtful, and was a God sent blessing to us. She was accommodating late in the evening helping us get a site. Honesty and kindness these days is hard to come by, Vonda Thank you for how your treated us and made us feel. God Bless!
I definitely recommend this cute little RV campground.

Nice place for a quick stop. Owner/host is incredibly kind and accommodating. Only draw back is the proximity to the Freeway. Quite busy and loud all night. Rough road into the park, but we'll maintained and pretty level sites.

The manager got us a site when we called at 5 pm because when we had so many problems at a different parks site. She was so friendly & helpful! We got a full hookup, level, nice gravel site. The park is a easy on & off 10 & entrance is across from Loves Gas station at the stop light. It’s also pet friendly & she even escorted us to our site.

Wonderful little gem. Stopped for 2 nights. Owner is so kind. She makes you feel like you’re home. I would definitely stop here again.

We stayed one night while traveling I-10. Small campground, clean, quiet and did not appear to have long term residents. Good overnight stop. Would stay here again.

Came for a few nights and we have been here going on 3 weeks! We are FT and it's great to find a place to stay for a while if we like it!

This was a nice stop over for one nite. You needed to be self contained as there were no restroom facilities. It had a pull through with 50 amp and sewer so we were all set.
