I received regular communications from the company and the tech called ahead of time and was on time. That is something I very much appreciate. Osmel explained everything to us went over all the details of how the work would be done and the cost. He explained the cost and the details of a membership program which pays for itself with the discount that is given. It includes two a/c check visits and an overall look of any electrical needs that may be needed. They did not ask for all the money upfront, only half. Coming from a big city where any money you give anyone for contracted work there is a good chance you won't see them again. We had no issues with Hoffman Electric. It was obvious that they are a professional company and I am confident they will do an excellent job.i

Would give 0 stars. Awful company. All they are after is money. I was quoted a job a little under $200 for two items that needed repaired. When they got out to do service they upped the price to nearly $500 despite the quote I was already given. Quote was also done wrong. First technician knew I needed two fans and only put one on quote. When I called to schedule appointment they said it’s okay, that they do see two but when they got out here, wanted extra money for the other. Had to send tech away and when I called for my refund for the deposit I put down, the gentleman who answered the phone was very rude. They are unprofessional and extremely over priced and will not do anything to try and make it right. They don’t care about their customers and will surprise you with many hidden fees once they get out to your home. Make sure you ask them exactly what you’ll be charged. Terrible people terrible company.

James B.installed updated bathroom lighting for us in two bathrooms. He was very professional, informative, and did excellent work. He also installed dimmer switches for both bathrooms as requested. Lighting looks great and the dimmer switches are a great feature. I thought it was a little expensive, but I do not know what other businesses might have charged. I did have the additional package which is supposed to lower the costs.

I called on a Tuesday, and they were available to come by Wednesday - quick response, lots of communication and the tech fixed the problem in minutes and didn't charge me anything other than the service fee. It is hard to find an honest, reliable and AVAILABLE electrician - I'll def use them again!

I definitely would never ever use this company again they were there for not any more than one hour and they charged over $700 which they needed to come back and redo everything they did the next day unfortunately in their opinion everything was great so I have to hire another electrician to fix everything that they did not catch or do the first time around of course they are always right and the customer is always wrong regardless of the situation and they don’t care one bit I would never refer this company to anyone!

Very smooth process from beginning to end. Jason made this experience top notch, I will call no other electrician for as long as I live in this town. He went above and beyond my expectations! Showed up when he said he was, was fair and honest with quotes and options I have with my requested jobs, and was patient with me and all my questions which I can’t thank him enough!

My technician, Dusty Hardy was fantastic, We had our yearly maintenance done and Dusty pointed out several tips to keep our unit running at its best. Hoffman has been a pleasure to work with, and their service is unsurpassed.

I Am very very pleased with the service provided by Nick today he was very professional pleasant respectful at best took time to explain the problem to me called the company to let them know that the outlet was bad and not to the proper one
As a result I wasn’t charged for the service
Nick knew what he eras doing and got the problem resolved

The technician was punctual and he was on time. The problem that I have is that we asked for a commercial electrician to set up new construction and the customer service department was sent out the technician was not aware of our needs. They are more residential and basically more of smaller jobs such as outlets or lights. It was a waste of my time to drive 30 minutes each way to find out that’s not the type of work that they do. I specifically explain prior to making an appointment that I need a commercial electrician for new construction and she was aware of that. Technician was nice it is not his fault but overall the company should pay more attention to the needs of the client before just booking an appointment. I was not charged any fees

After our 20+ year old smoke detectors were going off all willy-nilly for the past couple months, I figured it was time to call the professionals. They were able to take us quickly (within 24 hours of calling for the appointment). They provided a window for arrival and called us to let us know when the tech was on his way. Love the heads-up.
Ryan K.arrived as scheduled and was super friendly and took an extra second to put my puppies at ease. He made us feel super comfortable and answered ALL of my questions (new homeowner). SO HELPFUL! He was able to provide me with an estimate for replacement + install and another with just install. Ryan was awesome and was able to explain everything easily; very knowledgable. We will call Hoffman again for any of our electrical needs.and definitely request Ryan for future work if he's available.

I’ve had several projects performed by Collin and he is hands down the most polite and humble person I have ever met. I greatly appreciate all he has done for me and he’s incredibly patient and kind. His work ethic is so admirable and he really takes pride in his profession. Thank you Collin!

I’ll start my review by stressing that everyone I worked with from Hoffman Electric for this job was polite, and that the failings I describe appear to be process failures and I prefer to not assign blame to individuals.

I had requested a quote for an upgrade of an old 100amp Zinco circuit breaker panel to 200amps, rebonding of a ground, and the installation of a 100amp circuit for an electric vehicle charging station I was providing. I had asked if any of the 220v loads needed to have their wiring upgraded to bring them up to code and was told no. The quote for this work was $6200, and I provided a $3100 deposit at the time the quote was provided to set an appointment for the job to be done.

On the first day of work, I was told that the service entrance wasn’t large enough to accommodate a 200amp panel. I said I would contact TECO’s engineering department to have the service line upgraded. I was then told that I would need to have two of the 220v appliances, an electric range and an electric clothes dryer, upgraded to 4 wire conductor cable runs at a cost of $1200 (discounted). I agreed as I didn’t have another choice at that point but to proceed with the work.

On the second day, the two electrical techs upgraded the two 220v appliance conductor runs to 4 wires and installed the electrical vehicle charger I had provided. I was told some drywall cuts would be required, but wasn’t told where some of them were made. I asked if the electric vehicle charger was configured appropriately for the 100amp circuit it was on, and was told it was. There was confusion over a sub panel that was specified for the electric vehicle charger that wasn’t necessary, and I was provided a credit for the unnecessarily specified sub panel when payment was provided.

The next morning, I tested the electric vehicle charger and it’s status lights weren’t plugged in and it wasn’t configured properly for the 100amp circuit it was installed on. I had to disassemble, adjust, and reassemble the charger. When the last component of the work was done (labeling the circuits in the panel), numerous mistakes were made, corrected by poorly taping over the mistakes and writing the correct description of the circuits.

While the work was completed and appears to be up to code, due to the several mistakes that were made (including one costing me an additional $1200) and how they were handled, I would not recommend Hoffman Electric for any trades services.

Eric N. Was on time, friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and professional. He inspected the area and gave me all available solutions to resolve the issue I was having. I highly recommend Hoffman Electrical. As a retired member of the United States Air Force, it's good to see that commitment to excellence is still being conducted by Hoffman Electrical.

Hector is a barrel chested freedom fighter and New York football Giants fan who did an amazing job of fixing multiple of my DIY failures. My dog Charlie is even a Hector fan. I would definitely recommend him to anyone; well worth the money.

Total pro company from the dispatcher to the tech. Tech was one of the best I have ever dealt with. Great work, attention to detail and even cleaned up his own debris from the job. Will absolutely use Hoffman again in the future.

Was great! Anthony was knowledgeable and patient providing me with information on how my repairs would proceed once the spaces he will need to work on will be opened and accessible, I will keep Hoffman updated on the progress to coordinate the stages when I'll need him to return with as much ahead time as possible. I received a free quote today for installing a new light fixture in a very dark pantry, as well as installing new electrical outlets for appliances in the garage. I appreciated the great communication from both the office and the technician, Nelson C, including a phone call and then a text that included the name, photo and brief resume of the technician they were sending to the house, as well as very accurate ETA etc. I am awaiting other estimates, so I don’t know if their prices are competitive or not, but this company made a great first impression!

Hoffman offered a good price on two 240 volt circuits I needed for my tankless water heater. The price was very reasonable, the quality is excellent, the electrician was able to use good problem solving skills to figure out the least invasive way to install the circuits, I ended up having to do zero drywall repair. Excellent work will absolutely use again. Trustworthy company.

Nelson was a perfect professional, he explained my options and completed the work in a reasonable time. He cleaned up the area replaced everything to where it was and was finished. Very happy with his service as we have been with each technician that has responded over the years.
