I had major foot surgery and have been with Dr. Mills for many years, he is a highly experienced Orthopedic Surgeon and his entire staff is great. I would only go to see Dr. Mills for care of my charkot foot. Thank you Dr. Mills and your entire staff for your wonderful care.

I waited an hour from my appoint time. One hour. Not one person on his team ever said "oh, I'm sorry he's running late" "he'll be in shortly", nothing like that - they just let me sit in there for an hour, waiting - as though they are used to not being on schedule. I left without being seen. 15-20 minutes late is one thing. An entire hour without explanation is plain rude. It's apparent his time is important but his patient's time is not.

I’m 34 years old and just had a reconstructive surgery on the left foot at Holy Cross May 22 2019 after a few consultations with Dr Mills. Can't say enough about this guy, you just need to meet him and his expertise in what he does exudes in his impeccable bedside manner and his ability to connect with patients. He has a special level of care that I'm not sure is teachable. Honestly, I was not confident enough to get surgery to correct a flat collapsed foot that prevented me more and more from doing things I wanted to do (snowboarding, yoga, hiking, etc.), until I met Dr. Mills. I think my life will take a different trajectory now due to this investment early on in my life, would not have been able to see the light nor have the want without someone referring me to him. If you need something done to your foot, you want to see this guy. I had to stay overnight and was worried my toes were still numb at 9pm (due to the nerve block), instead of the nurse telling me that, Dr. Mills has them call him, he came back in personally just to tell me its normal and everything is ok. I could have just taken that message from the nurse via him telling them over the phone, but he came back to the hospital. I couldn't believe it, again it's a special level of care that you feel you’re in the best hands possible. Yes, these specialist ortho surgeons have to go to lots of school and be top 1% of intelligence and dexterity to the general population but sometimes I feel there are ones that were just born to do this. Dr. Mills was born to do what he does.

I want to give him a zero star for the way he mismanaged simple problem like plantar fascitis. Instead of beginning treatment immediately this guy ordered an MRI to rule out compression fracture. The MRI appointment was over a month away, until then no treatment or physio therapy! My feet condition became worse. He wouldn't issue me letter so that I could work from home. Nor did it occur to him to issue me a handicap plate. I looked at all these reviews and went to this moron. It eventually cost my job as my employer didn't renew my contract as I was daily limping to work. Work at home was possible if this guy had issued me a letter and I would have saved my job. He may be good in surgery but he is not a good physician when it comes to diagnosing conditions and its management. Very stubborn and won't listen.
I changed the doctor and now go to Dr Povendran who is sports medicine expert. He recommended physio therapy before any other interventions. Now after almost a year since problem began physio therapy which is finally helping me. What a relief.

Excellent excellent doctor, but the worst support staff response I have ever encountered in a Florida medical office. They initially misled me as to post-surgery recovery time to allow, which ruined a planned vacation 6 weeks after bone spur surgery in my foot. At 2 week post surgery follow up appointment, a medical staff member removed the surgical stitches from my foot and then left me sitting for almost 2 hours in a cold, unattended room while waiting for the doctor who was running behind. I had to call them on my phone so someone could come in to rewrap my bandages and allow me to visit the rest room! 3 months post surgery I am still having pain and difficulty walking. Called for new appointment and left that "pain" detail on voice mail for doctor's secy prior to lunch hour. No return call by late in the following day. They do not care about the people they serve. AVOID

Dr Robert Mills is an outstanding orthopedic surgeon who performed reconstructive surgery on my ankle, which was broken from a snowboarding injury. Dr. Mills is unique in so many ways. He uplifts patient’s spirits, provides world class medical services and genuinely cares about his patients. He understood me, and my passion for sports and helped me make the best decisions to ensure my ankle would fully recover. He not only performed a perfect surgery but also worked with me in the aftermath through Physical Therapy. I was snowboarding the following season and I owe that to Dr Mills.

Truly a special and caring doctor. Previously saw a podiatrist who wanted to operate on my foot (would have been significant surgery). Dr. Mills spent so much time explaining to me exactly what my problem was and how to treat it without surgery. Truly best of the best!
