Hope Thrift Store reviews
18They have lots of nice stuff. Real friendly people and helpful too. Iwent with my sisters and her kids. We couldn't get enough. I'll be back.
I love this place they have helped me when I needed it most they are super friendly and awesome people
Everyone who worked there was super sweet!
The gentleman who owned the store was super personable and super kind.
There was a blonde girl (around 22-25) who was a sweetheart
And another black haired lady who was super kind
There was a skinnier Hispanic looking girl who was super sweet
And a young Latin man who was cool too!
Loved it here!
Davey was so nice and really helpful! This place has some good finds for great prices, I'll definitely be back soon. Thanks again, Davey!
This place was great. Needed a suitcase for our return trip and could have spent a lot more time shopping.
The absolute worst service I have ever dealt with. They told me they would come pick up my donation between 1 and 2 and they didn’t come or contact me until 4pm and then when they showed up they didn’t take it. I fully explained the wear on the furniture before we scheduled and pick up and they still refused to take it. A little communication goes a long way.
You think walking in a Christian store it would be a nice experience i have been to there other stores and its nice but this location was awful, i visited this location yesterday and manager was just outside on his phone smoking the girl in cashier wearing inappropriate clothing tube top showing her belly button and they were playing inappropriate song in entire store that has s*x lyrics and other inappropriate terms. Not even christian songs like before. Dont visit here visit dundee or davenport is the best locations!
They must not have much product turnover because most of the stuff is dirty. They have so many dvds but they keep them in large bins. While you go through them you see dvds that are loose. They was a sweet lady there cleaning up the DVDs and stacking them. I asked the gentleman if he could put the in one the their many empty book shelves. While having an attitude, he said he didn't have time. I told him we would help him or do it for him. He said the owner wants them in bins for the bulk buyers who buy them by the bins.
It's a pretty nice thrift store, but of course like more thrift stores it could use some work. Otherwise it's pretty neat. Some things were broken and/or dirty, but that's expected when you go thrifting. It's very very large, but it also has a ton of items to go through.
Visited from UK. LOVED the store, and the manager and staff were friendly and helpful. Got a few bargains to bring home, will definitely visit again on our next trip.
Decent place. Fairly well organized. We needed sheets for a school activity and they had them cheap. Also found cheap shoes for my little. There is a huge selection.
They refused same day delivery (which they offered the previous two times ive had things delivered) told me it would come by 5 pm today. At 530 they told me they were just putting it on the truck. At 7 pm they tell me the truck broke down. Since i told them i wouldnt be available for a delivery next week i asked for a refund and the manager said "all sales final".
I always find some good finds here. This place is amazing. The prices are not bad at all and I usually have to stop myself because I can get carried away. If you love thrifting check this place out. A lot better than Goodwill
Truly disappointed in the management of this place as well as owner himself. I found him to be so rude and quite frankly I'd rather spend my money in a nicer establishment. They play Christian music which is the only pleasant thing but sadly they should listen to the words in the music because they act anything but nicely and Christian like! Will not be returning!
This place is so dirty that I tought it was actually a trashed storage favility. 70% of the dvds and cd’s are scratched, clothing items smell horrible, and even the pillows smell like they were used to kill someone. Electronics are poorly organized and all the cables are together in a mess. I do NOT recomend anyone to come here. Some of the furniture can be repaired, but its just not worth it to look around for stuff. The whole place smelled like old, and the shoe section smells even worse. Wash your hands after leaving
Nice people! They have both old and new. They sell some stuff from Target in front of the store and have used towards the back of the store.
I called and scheduled a donation pick up for Monday 15 July 19. Monday came no call no show I called and they gave me some excuse about delivery, I rescheduled for today in the morning 17 July 19. Well of course they didn’t show up nor have the courtesy to call and let me know no one was picking up. Good thing I’m an army vet, i know I can’t trust no one so I got a professional company to come pick up what I am donating. Unprofessional is the word for these people some other choice words too but I’m a lady!
As far as thrift stores go, this one is on the lower end of the spectrum in my opinion. It's a huge building with lots and lots of shelving units filled with.well, mostly junk. I noticed a lot of broken knick knacks and other items. There's the usual offerings of furniture, clothing, glassware etc. It's worth a browse, I suppose, if you don't have anything else to do with your day. The blaring Jesus music was a bit much. I probably won't be back.
