Hughes Exterminators, Tampa FL

If you need help, I strongly recommend NOT using Hughes. I had an absolute terrible experience with them, and I wanted to share in hopes that it might save someone in the future the stress and hassle I went through.

I scheduled a service repair for my house a week out, and the day before the appointment was supposed to happen, I get a random email from someone in their company saying, “Your service tomorrow has been cancelled. ” No explanation, no reasoning, no attempt to reschedule, nothing. I immediately responded and the woman gets back to me saying, “All she knows is that my appointment is cancelled. ”

I call the company and get a customer service person who connected me with a manager. The manager explains to me that the person who was supposed to do the repair is no longer with the company, and he is the ONLY one that could do this fix. They didn’t have a single person in the company that could fill his spot. He also mansplains to me that, “this is a busy time for the company and that they can’t get someone else out at least one week out. ” As if I didn’t already know that, already waiting a week for them to complete a service, losing time that I could’ve been looking elsewhere. I asked if there was anything they could do in terms of a temporary fix, and he just said no.

They literally left me high and dry, offering ZERO solutions for a problem on their end. I signed a contract, put a deposit and all they did was cancel the day before a service and told me to figure it out.

Please save yourself the trouble and find another company.

Never on time. When you call up to find out what is going on they say that your appointment was scheduled for a different day. Office staff not friendly.

I got a bill from Hughes in the mail for $250 for "Termite Guarantee / Coverage". Never heard of this company, never talked to anyone from there, they never performed any services on my property. They must be mass mailing bills to everyone in the area, preying on the elderly to see who bites.

Aaron was very thorough, helpful, and informative in his treatment for roaches. The problem was taken care of and he showed me ways to prevent it in the future.

I highly recommend Hughes on so many levels: first off when you call in; they are very courteous and take into sense the urgency. When the techs come out, they do an incredible job. If anything creeps up, they come right back out. It’s really a great service and definitely worth it. Bobby at customer service rocks and tech Westley is very thorough. Thanks Hughes for keeping the nasty critters out of my home.

We’ve used Hughes for termite control and pest removal, and now my husband uses them at all of his rental properties. Every time we’ve had someone out to the house, they’ve been thorough in explaining the process and what to expect, and detailed in examining the issue. They give more information than other companies offering similar services and are honest people. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Hughes to any of our family and friends.

Poor quality service. Had an issue in between services they came out but said it was two weeks early so I won’t see them again for another month. I changed company

For months I have been experiencing bugs in my home after they said they have been treating my house. They said they would correct it but haven’t. Come to find out at one of my properties the tech sits in the driveway for twenty minutes puts a sign out then leaves. Never treating the property. My daughter who it allergic to wasps and bees was told they don’t clean the nest off when she requested it to be cleaned. I am so disappointed with Hughes. Bolton was honest and actually did the work they were paid for.

Horrible service. I own a daycare facility and have asked for them to stop sending this man who makes inappropriate comments around the female workers and children 3 times and they still continue sending him. I’m ending my contract with them today. If you’re a woman please do not use this company because they will send a creepy man who makes inappropriate comments and makes you feel. The company will not listen to your concerns and will continue taking your money and sending this creep out. I would not want this man alone with me in my house, business or event 10 ft near me.

Paid this company to inspect the termite traps and put new bait in them, they never check the traps, this is a dishonest company do not use them

We received one $125.00 invoice without any job performed or requested. That's absolutely non professional or even right. Already called them to be removed from their files
