Rude, not professional. Just called to see about bringing my vehicle in. I stated I worked early and if it was possible to make an appointment for later in the day. He stated “drop off is between 8-9 am”. I said that really doesn’t work for me and what other options there may be (like drop off early before 8 am). He rudely stated that if I dropped it off after 9 am they would not look at it until the next day. Obviously these guys don’t need my business that bad and won’t even flex a little. I just hung up. Get a life guys…this is not how a success business treats new potential customers

Chris and his team were great to work with. My AC was blowing hot air and they were able to get it fixed for a fair price. The guys were also very friendly. I would highly recommend.

Chris (the owner) is the absolute best! I had my air conditioning fixed by them and it has never worked better! These guys are so accommodating and priced fairly! I won’t take my car anywhere else when it has a problem

This place is great. The guys here are well experienced and go out of their way to provide excellent service and show they truly care. My vehicle has 255k+ miles on it and some electrical parts were starting to go. I started taking my Mazda3 here because they are reasonably priced and don’t try to nickel and dime you for everything like the last chop shop I took it too that burned a hole in my pocket. They are very busy and are often overbooked and things can sometimes take a couple days but it’s worth it dealing with people that are down to earth and don’t b.s. You and get the job done at a fair price. I would definitely recommend them and will be back.

My vehicle was blowing hot on one side and cool on another so they performed a diagnostic for free. I got a call saying the expansion valve was leaking Freon based off their dye test and would need to be replaced and recharged for a total of $394. They told me (and I had someone who heard the conversation with me) that both sides were now blowing “ice cold air” and would for a while until the Freon ultimately ran out. I chose not to have services rendered here because I thankfully contacted Choice Automotive in Pinellas Park and they quoted me $261 for the exact same service. I let them know I would not be getting it serviced and picked it up to BOTH SIDES having hot air blowing. We called them back to ask what they did and if they emptied the Freon and they adamantly stated they did not, only did the dye test and charge to test it. To wrap up this painful tale, the mechanic over at Choice Automotive informed me that they did not even diagnose the issue correctly, my compressor was bad and needed to be replaced- with evidence. Cherry on top- they confirmed that the system had been completely emptied of Freon. So 1) you misdiagnosed the issue 2) you lied 3) you stole Freon from me. Take your services to Choice Automative and see Austin to save yourself a headache and some serious money. Karma will come.

I took my car there for A tune-up but the tune-up wasn't the problem when we picked the car up the air and the Computer wasn't connecting So they told us to bring it back Being that it was July third So when we call them back on the 5th to make arrangements for the car to come back to the shopThen they began to give us the runaround as if we had no air when we took the car to the shop Now they are trying to make Pay for them to use the machine to see what was wrong with itWhen I tell you they talk to us so nastyVery unprofessional once they told me they own the business I had no one to report to them on So I took the car and I took it to another shop and the problem was so simpleThe cylinder temperature cord was not plugged back in had to pray hard To keep my composure so The owner name is (Chris) and he made it very clear that I had no one to report him to Because he is the owner of his business (so this is one of the next best things. I made an appointment to bring my car in for an 'AC Evac and Recharge'. My air conditioning was taking 20 to 25 minutes to cool down. They said I needed in an AC "Evac & Recharge". When I got their call after they checked the AC system, Chris said the AC compressor was bad and needed to be replaced. I could not afford their estimate. They said they did an "Evac and Recharge" on the AC system. When I took my car, a couple days later, to a Certified AC shop & mechanic, the Owner said that if they recharged the system, at Ice-Cold Air in St Petersburg, there should have been 1.6 lbs # of freon in my system. However, there was only 1/10th # of a pound of freon in my system, when it was checked! In other words, Ice Cold Air in St Pete on 4th Street North, should have recharged my freon to what it should have been holding of 1.6 lbs # of freon. They charged me for services that were NOT rendered! When a call was placed to Ice Cold Air, the owner's son, 'Chris', stated as before, that "the freon leaked out". However, when it was rechecked, by the new certified AC Shop & Certified AC mechanic, there was only 1/10th of a pound of freon in the car. So the system was NOT recharged, as they stated that they did & charged me for! The new AC certified mechanic, also stated the dye was still in the system, but there were NO leaks, NO lubricant & NO 'wet spots'. There in other words was NO evidence of any leaks in the system. When the AC mechanic, was telling this to the son Chris, there was silence. He (Chris) hung up the phone on the AC certified mechanic! Now how very unprofessional is that! I guess he knew the AC mechanic was correct, knew exactly what he was talking about & as they say 'the cat must have got his (Chris') tongue! ' So the freon that they took out, Ice Cold Air kept for themselves, as freon is very expensive, and they did NOT recharge my system, with the freon that they should have. I would NOT recommend this place of business of Ice Cold Air @ 1406 4th St No. St Petersburg, FL to my worst enemy! I PAID FOR SERVICES THAT WERE NOT RENDERED!

Very pleased with service and price. Chris let me know exact cost before doing work. Costly.but hundreds of $$ less than other quotes.

Great service as always & prices very fair. They fix what's wrong & check car over - never try to sell unnecessary extra work as many places do.

I have been to a lot of auto shops and this place blows the rest out of the water! They are amazing. The owner Chris and his son are extremely professional and very good at their craft when it comes to cars. You can tell they have a passion and truly love what they do. They got me in mid day for what I thought what a major issue and they fixed my truck right up and had it back to me before 5. I will be coming back again and highly recommend this place to anyone in need of anything auto!
