18Terrible watery Americano.tastes like they used half as much espresso as necessary and accidentally added hazelnut.and it took forever even though it was not busy.honestly, go to the Starbucks instead.it's on the other side of the F terninal.
Before my flight at the Tampa Airport, stopped and asked a young lady if I could PAY for a few shots of hazelnut syrup. She was kind enough to provide for free.
While she handed me the small cup of hazelnut, Nicole, her coworker, demanded that I pay for it.
The young lady was like no I gave it to her. Nicole insisted once again that I pay or she was going to go get the boss.
Instead of the unnecessary worthless words from Nicole I asked how much it cost. 90 cents Nicole stated. She proceeded to cash me out BUT was unable to do so.
It was very obvious that a single shot of hazelnut didn't have a specific amount. If so, it would've been easy to cash me out. Instead, Nicole rudely said "today is your luckily day. Next time you have to purchase coffee with us! "
Well first of all, I don't HAVE to do nothing. Secondly, it was HER luckily day that I did not match her negative energy!
She was VERY RUDE!
As I told the young lady who was kind to me, You have to pick and choose your battles! Clearly Nicole wasn't worth giving up my peace just because she was unhappy with herself!
It's very clear she wants to be in management but her character and communication skills have limited her abilities!
Nicole you're just a number at Illy's. Remember that! You are replaceable! Let's see how loyal they will be to you when you really need them!

The black lady is really rude, people like this should avoid working in a customer service setting
Workers acted like they'd rather be anywhere else. Fast to jump on their cell phones after they serviced us. Food tasted old.
Got a bagel from here today before a flight and half of it was stale/inedible from how hard it was. Had to throw half of each piece away. But paid 7.99? Ridiculous
Terrible experience. Corporate should apply some rules they have at European Illy stores. Coffee too hot, awful taste and they heat up croissants without asking. Disgusting! Did not even give me a cold one after nicely asking. Staff has bad attitude.
I made an order at the Illy coffee store at the Tampa Airport Delta terminal under delta sky mile club. I proceeded to use a Vanilla Visa Debit card with $50 on it and was told it declined. I then payed with cash to get order. The order was for large latte, a cold brew coffee, a chocolate chip cookie and a snack of some kind for about $23. When I got home that night to New York to see why it was declined, I see the full gift card was swindeled. He took the full value of card some how. This happened on about Wednesday 8/16/ 2023 at 2: 06 pm, while I was drinking the coffee waiting for plane. I got screwed by this place or there worker. Don't be a dope always get a receipt when someone tells you your card was declined. You can't trust anybody today.
The food was good BUT I ordered a pre-made sandwich from the cooler and there was a big piece of plastic in it. I showed the young ladies at the counter and they just gave me a weird look and didn't say anything. I told them " I just wanted you to know in case there is an issue". I didn't receive an "ok", no apologies. I received no response. I did not ask for a new sandwich or refund. Just wanted them to be aware of plastic in the sandwich.
Really poor attitudes. No greeting, no thank you nothing said to us by person that took our order. Need to work on customer service!
The two employees this am kindly accommodated our somewhat odd special request. And while I waited for my order they went out of their way to track down a customer who had forgotten her drink! They also made sure that I understood what I was ordering since they serve true European style drinks which differ slightly from the European versions.
Sraff short with any questions. Sounded annoyed with having to speak with customers. Menu not complete. They offfer things they dont have on hand. I have been flying every two weeks for five years out of E terminal and jave gone there twice, first time I was treated like I was annoying them and 4 years later same treatment. Not going back
Worst customer service experience I ever had. The short white young lady wearing a double mask starts to scream at me for not making a left turn to were the sugar and napkins stand is. Lol and btw coffee was old and bitter! Goes well with the customer service
Strange experience had to wait about 20 minutes to put an order in only one person working then a random another person showed up. It’s 830am the busiest time for a coffee place.the sandwiches are premade nuked in the microwave, but it actually does taste decent.
Update: stopped in to get one of their ciabatta egg and cheese sandwiches. It's once again, overpriced and there's definitely a lot more bread than there is egg. But you're at an airport terminal so expect to pay between $7.00 and $10.00 bucks for these pretty much anywhere!
It's over priced with excruciating slow service. Off you are in a rush do not expect quick service. The quality is airport fast food style. My egg and cheese was over priced (it's expected) and small. Coffee was average at best.
Tons of confusion regarding orders - they just give out food randomly without calling it. The food and coffee are mediocre and overpriced for what they are.

Robert Mannos, Crew Leader, was absolutely rude to every customer. He was angry because 3 customers walked in as he was sweeping the floor. He shoved the broom against the wall as he expressed his frustration that he had to help his customers. He shoved the danish at the lady in front off me and cursed at the register. After I ordered my coffee, i apparently ordered it wrong and he curtly told me what i really wanted. He helped the next customer, and when I asked for my scone, he said he already gave it to me. Another employee came out from the back and Robert complained to him very loudly about having to drop what he was doing to help customers. Pretty sure Mr. Crew Leader, THAT IS YOUR JOB!
Terrible service, the person who makes the sandwich is rude and throws the food at you. The only decent one is the one that makes the coffee but the coffee is not very good. I don't recommend them because they don't treat their customers well.
