These guys are scalpers! The reason you’re getting bad service from movers is because you’re taking 36% of the profits. Good luck to any of your customers. T square will no participate in your network!

We used imoving not realizing it was a 3rd party vendor. We had multiple issues. They were friendly and accommodating on the phone and let us know that they would be able to confirm our move date a week in advance. Unfortunately after multiple follow ups and stress, they didn’t confirm until the day before! They have 0 control over the quality of movers and let you know that only when there’s a problem moving. The imoving representative estimated far too small of a truck after we went through every single item we were moving in our apartment. It was only a 1 bedroom apartment too. We had to go back and move a second day! They were unhelpful during the actual move day. Our movers were late and when we contacted our representative they were super quick to tell us they don’t have access or control over the movers. Overall it was a really unfortunate and sketchy experience. I would recommend a different company. You also pay per item, so when the movers couldn’t take some of our stuff, we got ripped off since we had to move them ourselves.

Our movers showed up with missing boxes, we are missing the hardware to our beds, the legs to our tables, and the movers drank our alcohol and put the empty bottles back in the box. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get in contact with customer service. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Response to Rita:

The booking is under my husband. I just sent you an email, looking forward to your reply!

1 star as we cannot go lower

They are a broker and as a result have absolutely no control of the quality of movers you’ll get. In our case the supplier was a moving company-ordinator who hired people off the street and we ended up losing 1000s in value.

We were also under quoted, and the mover had never seen the invoice before. We were hustled

Go direct, invest a bit more and end up happier

I wish I could give a -5 star rating. Wish I never gotten into business with them and trust them with my furniture. Key problems I had -

1. Guesstimate is useless, I’d rather have an in person estimate. The actual cost rose up by 50% from the initial estimate. What was the point of the estimate then?

2. The partners are not trustworthy. No real credibility in the process of identifying valuable partnerships in actually moving furniture. The crew that came to pick had no value for the items to be moved, they were thrown, scratched and dented. On top of it all, they had so much attitude while talking to me. They were talking bad about IMoving as well, which was unexpected given they are moving my items.

3. I WAS HUSTLED by the crew during drop off and threatened to leave all my stuff on the sidewalk if I didn’t pay up in 15 mins. I was very CLEARLY told that I will not have to pay during drop off but yet I had to pay. The IMoving staff was only good at sweet talking but was of no use cause I still got scammed at the end of the day.

4. Received no help after everything and was ignored. Lost money and received dented furniture. Overall, an extremely bad experience.

I WOULD NEVER SUGGEST IMOVING. Please don’t fall for “cheap” prices. They are not worth it. You’d rather have one single company take care of it all or rather sell everything and not move anything to the new place.

Tried to get a time for the movers for 3 days! Then the broker sold the move to the contractor with lies. Pricing was a bit high.

If i could give a lower rating, I would. I contracted with them, paid extra for guaranteed time/date and they failed to honor their obligation. Now, after asking for a refund, they are hiding behind a single line burried in a 50 page t&c as to why they dont need to honor their obligation. What's the point of paying extra for the guarantee then?

I-move worked well for us. The mover they suggested and we chose did a great job, when they said they would. Communication with the mover was great, I-move was a bit behind but understandably since we were dealing directly with the mover on a very short time frame.

Just hire a carrier directly. We believed a broker would help us manage our move at a premium but it hasn’t been managed and we’ve just paid a premium. No value here. They can’t control the carrier you’re just wasting money to have them pretend like they have any idea what’s actually going on through fees and their cut. To be fair they’ve tried but why would you pay for “trying”.

The experience:

Imoving-“So and so will arrive Tuesday to grab your stuff”
Carrier- “we are coming Thursday”
Imoving- “okay they’re coming Thursday morning”
Carrier- Shows up at 3: 00
Imoving- “you guys paid for direct deliver they’ll leave immediately and be there Sunday confirmed”

WE wasted food time and energy pay PTO and all of the things involved with moving to be ultra prepared packed and ready to go.

We were let down.

We are at Sunday now and they carrier says they MAYBE said they’ll be here Monday (we paid 1500$ more for direct no mess around straight delivery. We are at the new location. They are not. We beat a professional moving company?) the carrier said they didn’t leave after pick up they had other appointments (why did we pay for our own truck/direct).

Absolutely no recourse that you’ll sign away with a broker. Just skip these guys and source your own darn carrier. You really don’t need a middleman. They add no value and just cost. Think about it if you’re reading this. Why wouldn’t you spend 10 minutes calling moving companies and save all that fee money if they explicitly put the onus on the carrier every time anyways?

Communication lacking and didn’t materialize quite how agreed upon, but price didn’t go up and carrier was great

TL;DR: I was given an estimated delivery date of July 3 - July 6th and my stuff didn't arrive until July 19th. Thirteen days past what was initially estimated. Even counting the max seven day delivery window after the delayed July 7th pickup, there was an additional six day delay.iMoving made false promises to close the deal and failed to deliver on the agreement. Conversations to resolve the issues devolved into he said she said between iMoving and the carrier Star Van Lines. If you must use iMoving for your move, do not agree to Star Van Lines as the carrier. They are verbally abusive, unresponsive, and do not honor their promises. For a simple SF to San Diego move of a studio apartment, this turned into a complete nightmare that cost me thousands of dollars, not to mention scrambling to find accommodations for every day that they didn't deliver my things, cancelling work meetings and rescheduling appointments. They also lost my Dyson vacuum amongst other items. I got refunded a measly 17% of the total for all this trouble.

The Good: The folks at iMoving are nice. They were kind and responsive. I needed my things picked up from a storage in SF and delivered to my new apt in San Diego, which meant I couldn't be available during the pick up since I was already in SD. I told them that I needed my things delivered by Jul 11th at the latest and whatever we can do to make sure I have my things by then is what we should do. They said that's doable and we agreed to a pickup on Jul 3rd or Jul 5h - Jul 7th. They said the delivery takes 2-3 days at most wknds included. I accepted the quote which stated an est.delivery window of Jul 3rd - Jul 6th, made the $2k+ payment, and waited.
The Bad:  Once they connected me to the carrier Star Van Lines things went south. By the 5th they still hadn't picked up, then tried to push off the pickup but I convinced them not to because it would throw off the delivery timeline,  so they finally picked up on 7th. Star Van Lines informed me the drop off would be in 3-5 days with Jul 12 being the final day. They said they'd give me 48 hrs notice before delivery. I was upset by this change in the delivery because that was not what was initially discussed. I was moving into my apt on Jul 11th. I didn't hear from them the 48 hrs before, so Jul 10th I called them and they told me they won't be able to deliver until Jul12th.
The Ugly: I was in contact with both iMoving and Max from StarVanLines. On July 12th, 48 hrs before the promised delivery date I called Max to confirm the delivery. However, Max became extremely hostile with me. He said I've been calling too much, and that I should talk to iMoving. I pressed on and asked him if he knew where my stuff was, and he said he didn't. I asked him if he knew when my stuff was arriving, and he said I've already told you; I told him to remind me and he said, "you have a bad memory. " I asked him to tell me anyway, and he said he doesn't remember. So I said, "You told me Friday, is my stuff arriving on Friday? " but he refused to confirm; I pressed him further and he yelled "You don't call me again, I call you! " We ended the call. The 14th came along and I still didn't have my things. I reached out to iMoving who reached out to Max who called me to ask if I had heard from the driver. I hadn't. Morning of 15th iMoving called me to tell me Max couldn't get a hold of the driver.iMoving called me later that day to tell me that my stuff should arrive on the 16th. It did not arrive and no one reached out all day. The 17th I got a call from iMoving saying my stuff will arrive on the 18th and this time it's 100% certain. It did not arrive then either. I was then contacted by two different drivers saying my stuff will arrive Wednesday July 19th at 6am.

I was looking into receiving an estimate and the lady that called was very rude and hung up on me. I will not be using their services.

The movers were great. They were courteous and moved very quickly. I moving however was not so good with their communication. I had to call them several times to find out when the movers going to be and they never had an answer for me.

Given one price then after loading most of my furniture and belongings
They said that there would be and additional fees because everything was heavy. Never said anything about weight except safe. Then everything was supposed to be moved in one day. All my furniture and belongings were taken to Baltimore and back the next day. The one day move was only 41 miles. After returning the next day, my furniture was moved by a totally different crew. My furniture was delivered with chips and scratches on it. Things were put together wrong and missing bolts and nuts. A claim was filed with no response. This company is a total rip off.
Beware
Ps, then they tried to give us some scummy rug they had on the truck, that was not ours. Totally unprofessional. I've been trying to get reimbursed for my furniture being damaged and they say all they will give me is $255.00 for all the damages. This is a very very dishonest company. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
