Didn’t get to stay long enough here. Lots to do and some really cool looking hikes. We did one night at the campsites. Ranger was super friendly!

Went out to explore and stopped here. Lots of photos were being taken here, family photo shoots for fall and those dressing up in dungeon and dragon or witchcraft style clothing (I didn't ask) for photos as well.
There are huge beautiful tables, benches, and porch swings hung in trees. Trails are marked, but not all are clear. There are interesting things to look at. The day we went, it was overcast and cool out. The places that would normally have water (marsh or swamp areas) were dry. The cypress trees and knees were fun to look at. The live oaks by the bridge make a beautiful canopy and photo spot. The bridge goes over swamp water, so mosquitoes are out to get you. Definitely bring some bug spray. This is great for hiking, no paved paths. I will be back in the spring to see what that brings.
There is also a gated camp site too.
There is a bathroom, and I didn't check it out.

We went for a wedding that didn't make it on time. However, the park seems to be laid out rather uniquely. The restrooms are rather far from the camping sites, which is where we were. We didn't venture to the lake since fishing and magnet fishing weren't supposed to be part of our agenda that day. I will return, however, since another park guest said the fish bite all the time. To be determined at a later date.

Great hike today! <2 mile shady loop trail through the forest with lots of evidence of the underlying karst geology.

Nice, quiet area. Good place to walk. Renovations area a good addition. Only thing now you have to pay to park.

Can't imagine what it looked like 40 years ago slowly drying up like the rest of the prestine trophy bass ponds in the forest.but if u look around u can clearly see bluffs and mounds from time that once was this was a highly used area by native American long before we came to trash it up.adding more powdered rv site's to back side not open yet hopefully they open it before it's all dried up.

No water/power, only facilities are a pit toilet. No security, previous campers left it very littered and unkept. Good scenery, tho and close to several attractions in Ocala area.

85' deep lots of wild life. Have talk to people who fish it and they say 8 to 10 pound bass pulled from the waters. Can camp primitive, nice sites, bathrooms open, close gate at 8: 00pm for non campers. Fun place well maintained.
