Made an appointment at 3: 30. Got there and they were closed with no explanation. What a waste of time!

The IRS Government office at the Fort Myers, Florida location never answers the phone.
It is impossible to book an appointment at this location.
Absolutely NOT acceptable.
#IRS Government office at Fort Myers, Florida, how can a taxpayer book an appointment to request services at this location? Any other option?

It took months to get an appointment. Finally did, 11: 30. They said arrive early. Got there at 11: 15. Was told I'd have to get a number to wait, but I couldn't even get a # until 11: 30. It's now 1: 00 and I'm still waiting. What a joke. Why give me an appointment at all.

If I could give 0 stars I would, a month ago they gave me an appt for 10: 15 am, I literally have been waiting for more than 2 hours and no one is still answering me why it only has one officer, I don't understand a place as badly organized as This is the only place here in Fort Myers for IRS, in government space it should be better organized and not waste people's time

I got a rejection letter from the IRS because someone stole my Social Security and was told to contact the IRS with no contact information. I tried contacting them multiple times so I go into the IRS because you can’t make an appointment online. To be given a paper by some dude at the front who barely speaks any English to be told that I need to call this phone number to make an appointment. Dude doesn’t know anything you should have people at the front who can help the people coming in and give a little bit of information besides a piece of paper that brings you back to square one. Left with zero solutions.

If I could 0 stars I would. 2 times i left with 0 solutions to my issue. Made an appointment over the phone with a lady @ 3: 45pm arrived @ 3: 40pm didn’t get checked in until 4: 10pm and wait until 4: 15pm for the receptionist to inform me that they close @ 4: 30pm and they could not guarantee I’d be seen. “The senior” did horribly at trying to calm me down after I waited 45 minutes after my appointment to be seen. On top of she tried to walk away from me twice with only one solution and that was so be reschedule AGAIN. There was a 15 minute window where 2 people left and I was still not able to be seen. You can’t even call and get to a live person without waiting at least 45 minutes+. I will say they do a great job at taking my money. 2 years now and my 2021 taxes are still MIA with no one to call for help because every phone number you get is out of service, can’t get through with SSN, and the robot on the phone will hang up on you.

Called and left 3 messages with the person I was told to contact directly without a single returned call. Can not reach anyone!

You are asked to call for an appointment. Then you can reach anyone you show up and they can attend to you without an appointment. You figure it.

Have been trying to call for 6 mos.can't even get through at 7am when they open.someone please help!

This location is closed. I spoke with a woman who works elsewhere in the building and she told me they have been very limited with their operating hours sense covid. She said she hardly ever sees its open.

They say my five children are not dependents or in school so They want 9,000$ back child tax credit. I used the tool on Ira site to load all documents for proof. Got another letter with a penalty now takes on with zero acknowledgment of the documents I submitted. Can’t get through to anyone tried for two hours twice.
