We hired Into The Light Home Inspections during our recent home purchase. Best decision ever! We have witnessed several home inspections with other properties we have owned and this company was by far the most thorough inspection we have experienced. The owner had his routine and his method and does not miss any details big or small. I have to say everything I could think of was checked. They offer the sewer video inspection which I recommend no one skip out on. We had it included in our inspection just for peace of mind and it turned out that we had a collapsed line due to tree roots penetrating same in a 7 year old home which was unexpected and not disclosed by seller. This saved us thousands and we were able to know exactly what we were getting into. Also, something to consider when comparing, is his engineering background which is extremely valuable when it comes to home inspections. You pay for what you get. My advice is to not cut corners on the largest investment of your life and hire Into the Light Home Inspections.

Raul Rivera is a top notch Licensed Home Inspector! He inspected my new construction home back in March of 2023 and I am still benefiting from his recommendations. His Engineering education is used to the fullest! For example, he told me to get additional gutters. When it would rain, there was a gusher of water coming from the roof and dumping into my lawn. I had to put a stop to that. Raul's report let me know that I had to take care of this problem.
He gives you a lengthy report. Mine was 69 pages. He lets you know if it is an immediate problem or one down the road. He went outside and looked at my HVAC unit which is on a slab of concrete. He said that it was already leaning to one side which would interfere with the equipment's ability to function properly.
He gave me an "Action List" which I handed over to my construction supervisor. NO QUESTIONS ASKED! The construction supervisor said he would take care of it. The list was so well documented with color photos, there was nothing to fight about.
If you are purchasing an existing house, do not fool around! You do not know what is behind the walls. Get Raul. He will leave no stone unturned. You will be able to sleep at night knowing the exact condition of the home you are buying.
With regard to price, I shopped around and read many reviews. Other big inspection companies aggressively pushed new construction buyers to pay for 3 inspections: Pre-Dry Wall, On Completion and One Year Inspection. Why should I have to commit to give a company all 3 inspections when I don't even know if I like them. Raul did not even suggest I contract with him for all 3 inspections. Good work sells itself. His price was very reasonable. You better believe I will be calling Raul for my one year inspection.
