Let me start off by saying that a restaurant is only as successful as the staff running it. The staff at Irie-I are so kind, the woman Tammy is a breath of fresh air. The food portion was satisfactory & tasted great. We bought a variety of items, including patties, oxtail, rum cake, plantains & some soda. Overall a good experience that we will be returning. Being Jamacian American it’s hard to find authentic Island food. TMI - but my grandma passed away last December and this brought me back home. The smell of the restaurant and the warmth Tammy brings to the location is undeniable. I strongly recommend this restaurant for all your island cravings! Try something new today, anyone can make a burger! It takes love to make jerk chicken!

Purchase a jerk chicken at this restaurant and inside the chicken looked bloody, uncooked. I asked to get another item from the menu, the lady with the blonde hair refuse to do the return saying that’s how jerk chicken should look and they will not return it. Her customer service is horrible and for that reason I will never shop there again. She should not be serving customers with that attitude she’s bad asset for the business. Poor customer service.

Great atmosphere, and great service. The Curry goat and roti was very good. My new spot for Jamaican food.

Let me first acknowledge that the staff here is very nice always have been. On multiple occasions I have been given a up size when I have asked for a small or medium and charged.why? No idea, I have brush it off until my person told me they’ve done it to him about three time and he’s no longer spending his money at this establishment. 2 weeks ago I went and order 6 beef Pattie’s the guy whom I assume is the owner told the girl on the cash register to charge me for 6 Pattie’s. I left with the bag when I got down the road I opened the bag only to find 5, I called back explaining to the young lady that I was over charged for what I had (she told me to come back, I told her I would get it the next time I was in. Yesterday I went in explained what happened and the guy had the freaking nerve to ask me why I didn’t come back and that he needs proof. He’s my proof he knows exactly what he did. It was not the matter of the $2.50 it’s the fact that he deliberately had me charged and didn’t put it the bag, that was really disgusting. I am completely done with this place. Found a really lovely place at the Welsh street plaza between the barber shop and boutique or I’ll drive 17miles to Lehigh so I don’t have to set foot need that place again.

It's my favorite restaurant in all of fort myers! I hadn't been there in a while and they recognized me through my mask and knee exactly what I wanted, so if you become a regular your great Jamaican cuisine will be ready before you can ask for it. It's just REALLY good food

Well the experience was definitely great but I don't think you can take my experience because I'm at you're making but if the food is delicious and I definitely got the hospitality game going on.

We were here nearly a year ago. It's gotten more expensive, no different than many other restaurants have, but it's still good. I had the curry goat, my wife the oxtail. They don't give you cornbread like the place on MLK and I miss that, but that place is now take out only. This place you order and can eat it there. It's pretty authentic and pretty tasty.

My wife and I have been searching for a good Jamaican restaurant in the Cape Coral area and we found that Irie hit the spot. We ate inside although most customers were doing takeout. I had the ackee and saltfish and my wife the curry chicken. She actually wanted curry goat, but they ran out. Both were served with steamed cabbage and plantains. We both enjoyed our lunches and agreed it was good but not the best we've had. We moved here from the Fort Lauderdale area which has many Caribbean style restaurants and a large Jamaican presence. The food there is a high mark to reach and Irie, although good and worth another visit, doesn't quite match up.

Chicken burnt, more bone than chicken that wasn't burnt. Rice dry, tasteless was supposed to be jerk chicken, don't know what that even was. Also expensive, no prices anywhere, not on written menu nor digital one, they have a sign that says no refunds or exchanges, now I know why, people would want their money back for that tasteless and overly expensive food. I would not recommend.

Was skipped after waiting in line for an obvious Jamaican person although I’d been waiting 15mins. High prices and little portions of food.

This is my 2nd time going to them in the past 4 years:
They rice and peas is STILL horrible. Literally boiled white rice and thru in 5 red beans/peas.
I asked for curry chicken lunch (rice peas, plaintain, cabbage) I didn’t get cabbage for some strange reason but got charged for plaintains side. When I looked at the receipt. I won’t ever return again lol
I will drive out Lehigh on homestead next time.
Must got Yankees cooking at Irie.

Great service! Communicated well on timing of food being ready. The beef patty didn’t make the photos because it was so delicious and first item I ate.

I come down to Ft Myers often for work amd usually eat at the same places. Today I found this AWESOME Jamaican place and it was awesome. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I had the jerk pork, rice beans, salad and a Jamaican kola. It was delicious. I will definately make this part of my dining when I am back.
