Island House Apartment Motel, Nokomis FL

This is an old school florida Beach hotel. Right on the water! Rooms are small no frills but nice.

Clean, quiet, newly remodeled rooms, all the amenities, right on the sand, yet only 10 minutes from a grocery store and all the conveniences. You don't even need to leave the air conditioned comfort of your suite to get a perfect view. I've been going for years and it keeps getting better. My happy place.

We love island houses on Casey key in Laurel Fl. Most definitely recommend it. We’ll be there in October this year.

Island House at Casey Key is our favorite place to go. From the owners and staff (Earl) who take such good care of you to the old Florida, warm family feel, this is the perfect place to exhale and unwind from the hectic lives we live. The units are very clean and well appointed and all units not only face the Gulf but you literally take a few steps and you are on the sand. We love the chairs provided to take to the sand and sit there all day. The sunsets there are spectacular and it is so much fun to just hang around and meet the other visitors. In fact, we met lifelong friends on our last trip! There are great restaurants nearby such as the Breakfast Cottage and in Venice, Luna’s Ristorante. We hate to even tell people how special this place is because it is so special to us we don’t really want to share it but that would be selfish. So if you get the chance, do try to visit

The Island House on Casey Key is a diamond in the rough, which is why I'm not sure I even want to post this review. I want to keep it a secret. However, when my brother told me there couldn't be a better place in Florida to stay, I just knew I had to share our experience.

My family and I had 6 of the 14 rooms. The weather was absolutely wonderful (it could be hit or miss in October with the hurricane season). The water was warm.we had so much fun. We called it our FamilyMoon because our brother had gotten married the week before and they rolled their honeymoon into our family reunion. They were going to have to go home one day early because the airline changed their flights. However, they loved it so much they paid an extra $500 for another flight so they could stay longer. We all agreed we should do it again next year.

On a separate note, this was our (my husbands and I) second time there. We will definitely be going back in 2021. The rooms are bright and airy with a large patio door. We even had a crab crawling on our screen, we saw a large tortoise on the edge of the grassy berm, a blue heron landed on the beach where we were relaxing, and we also got to watch the dolphins play.

Check it out, you definitely won't be sorry!

This place was great. Rooms were very clean, staff was friendly and helpful, and the beach was amazing.

Directly on the private beach. 2nd floor has slightly better views, but bottom rooms are basically on the beach. Nice staff. Very accommodating. Murphy beds are not very comfortable, but the kitchen is fully equipped. I called it glamping on the beach.

Awesome experience at the Island house. Very hospitable and the rooms were clean. Beach is nice and right outside your room. Nice low key beach town.

The hotel is very clean and has everything you need. We rented the efficiency with an ocean view. They have 10 of them (ocean views) and four motel rooms (no view). The efficiency had a full kitchen. It was great to make dinner on site and watch the sunset. We used the charcoal grills (bring your own charcoal). The grill are very clean. All the tables and chairs are very clean.

There is no maid service during your stay. Our room and a queen size Murphy’ bed, futon, recliner, side chair, & dining table with four chairs.

The kitchen was stocked with pots and pans, silverware, toaster, crockpot, soaps, & sponge. The kitchen has a microwave, oven, stove and fridge.

The staff is very friendly. There is free parking. You can rent a stand up paddle board from the hotel for $25/day.

This hotel is casual and very clean. The staff keeps it in great condition.

I would not hesitate staying here again.

This place is fantastic, jeni and earl are very nice people, they will give you information about the area, they desinfest the beach chairs every day and the BBQ area as well, the rooms are very clean and the smell very good is a quiet place to relax if you want to get away from everything I'll definitely come back to this place!

Great place to stay. Jenny was absolutely sweet, welcoming and very informative. She greeted us and showed us around. Rooms and area are very clean and well kept! They have many accommodations one would need while traveling. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and families. Hope to visit soon
