Island View Restaurant, Sebring FL

Treated very poorly. Have been going to Island View for meals frequently during our winter time in Highlands County every year.

Our family was flying in for a visit for Valentine's Day, so I immediately reserved window view seating for Valentine's Day during the first time slot so that we'd be guaranteed a meal with a view.

We arrived promptly 5 minutes before our reservation and were seated in the back of the restaurant with no view and almost on top of the pianist who was in the process of setting up. Keep in mind almost every table at the front of the restaurant by the windows were completely empty.

When I politely explained that I had reservations for window seating, I was snubbed and told "no" without any explanation or reason.

We were all very disappointed and embarrassed by the way we were treated.

The salmon with vegetables is my personal favorite! My friend liked the desserts, though. The ambience was also great. The termpature of the food served was also good. A must-try restaurant and not too pricey!

This was a meeting place for friends who live in the middle of the state and us closer to the coast for a bit. This was the PERFECT place for two small kids as it was very loud at dinner time so no one was bothered by our kids being loud either. The server was training a coworker and both were so friendly and kind with our kids, our slow ordering and generally just being a kid table. The food was ok, but there were lots of different options and was a fun place to be in terms of the atmosphere at the bar area. Seems like a fun spot to grab a drink after a round of golf and coincidentally also a good spot to grab dinner with kids!

I was only in the banquet where we hosted my uncle's 80th Surprise Birthday party. The setting was nice.

Food was ok staff was little wishy washy pricing not bad more of a place to grab a drink an shoot the bs.

We had dinner there last night with a party of 9. The service was excellent, thanks to Jordan, and we all enjoyed our meal.

Ordered the Fish and chips and the fish was definitely Mrs Paul's or Marie Callender if that's the kind of fish I wanted I would have Stayed Home. Two of us Ordered it and neither of us ate it. I brought it home to my dog and she wouldn't eat it either. That definitely says how bad it was.

The only reason I'm giving 3 stars is because the service was great! We had Aleidy as a servicer and she was friendly and gave us great service! The fish fry is frozen fish. You know it's frozen when ever piece is the same size and shape. It was flavorless. The batter was thick, greasy and heavy while the fish on the inside was mush.

We went to the restaurant on Tuesday to have a nice quiet lunch. It turned out to be a very frustrating experience. The waitress taking care of the tables on patio seated us and it took her 15 minutes to get to us.our water took another 12 minutes and at that time we ordered the patty melt.we asked her and two other people to get us some ketchup.we proceeded to eat our lunch. I have to say the patty melt did not taste like burger it tasted like soy burger and mushy. Our fries got cold waiting on ketchup so I gave up.waitress laughed and said. I heard mustard. NOT. Who puts mustard on fries. The gentlemen at door brought us bill we expressed our concerns and he said the girl was in bathroom so he brought bill but she and other waitrresses were in room facing dining room laughing and not paying attention. I have never been treated and laughed at like that in my life and will not be back if that is the kind of people that represent your business

I have eaten here many times. Usually we stop after a round of golf for lunch. Service is always good. There is a new restaurant manager. It feels like they are stull trying to sort out the menu. Prices here are very good and everyone is friendly. It is worth trying if you haven't been here yet.

Have been going here for years for easter and mother’s day, i went this past mother’s day and the food was god-awful.there was not an ounce of salt in any of the dishes.i understand that people like food maybe not so seasoned but atleast put salt and pepper. Waste of money and halfway ruined day for me & my mom.

My salmon was perfectly cooked and delicious, but I didn't taste the honey or orange glaze stated on the menu. Hubby said his fish and chips (cod) was very good; we appreciate the baked potato sub for the "chips"; cole slaw was very tasty.
Disappointed with the "mixed greens" salad, which was just a bunch of iceberg lettuce (which I don't care for), a couple of slices of cucumber, sliced olives, a tomato wedge and small container of dressing.for an extra cost.
Our server, Amber, was attentive, polite and very pleasant.
Hadn't been in quite a while, and will definitely return. Always good atmosphere and food.

Have eaten here several times and it has been good but this time I ordered the Cobb salad and it was not very good the lettuce was not fresh. Neither were the avocados and the ranch dressing was like water. Would definitely not order again at $15. Service was good!

We came for lunch on Sunday and the menu was a bit limited, but they set us down by the window overlooking the pond and it was beautiful.

I was there for brunch. Very friendly, clean and open area. We sat by the window with a view of the lake.it was a Friday morning so not a lot of customer so the attentive service could be due to that.
However, the steak sandwich with sweat potatoe fries was just great. I so did enjoy it.
It has been a long time since I've eaten here (did not do a previous review) ; I would recommend this place to everyone.

Would give zero star if I could. Terrible food and unbelievably even worse service and management
