Islander Trading Post reviews
14Got a whole lot of neat stuff if you're collecting stuff they got pretty much every category I didn't see a bathroom it's a lot of dust but it's really really neat there's way more stuff in there than you could even imagine it was a really enjoyable time highly recommend it
My husband and I decided to stay on the island for a romantic night away together (something we haven’t done in over 15 years. We’re locals but work 7 days a week).
We decided to visit this store because I absolutely love antiques yet never have the opportunity to actually go in and look.
I was so excited. All week I waited for this day to come because I knew exactly what I wanted to do. Go antiquing.
I found two boxes full of antique kitchen gadgets, all thrown in together, one on top of another. This was like Christmas!
I sat down on the dirty floor (I didn’t care because this was the one thing i wanted to do), and began to go through each one.
As I picked them up, one by one, carefully evaluating each item, I decided I was just going to purchase both boxes but was too excited and was having so much fun going through them.
We were then scolded by the male owner for merely touching them as “we could scratch them” (Nevermind the fact that they were literally thrown in these boxes and crammed together. But god forbid I touch them because my hands could scratch them).
Very rude and BIG mistake! I was going to buy all of them!
We are now heading to the next antique store and hope to be treated better there.
I’m going to have a lot of fun spending a lot of money, but it will never be here!
I don't understand the reviews talking about the owner. I absolutely adored the couple and this shop. If you really enjoy antiques and vintage items this is the place. I went in looking for brown glass for my wedding and the couple were sweet as can be asking all about the big day. I'll be visiting on my next vacation for sure
Don’t dare step in this place without a mask they will immediately kick you out a very Liberal far left owner couldn’t of have been more rude to us everything is overpriced anyhow good luck won’t return or recommend
Visited this little antique shop enough times that I'm on first name basis with (princess) Diana. Great items and very good prices. I'll be back.
Very nice antique selection, most items in impeccable condition and presentation. Worth a visit.
It's a like a museum of the past except you can buy these relics. A well organized antique store that's worth a visit if only to look but you will be tempted to buy.
We're not big antiquers, but do like to stop in when we spot one while on vacation. This is one of the best I've seen. They have a lot of cool stuff and it's well organized, not just a bunch of junk.
I’ve been frequenting Islander Trading Post since I was a kid and it’s always a pleasure to stop by. The staff is super friendly and helpful, they’re always willing to pull items out of cases or even help you find the perfect piece.
Their prices aren’t thrift store low, but it’s an antique store so that’s to be expected. I think their prices are awesome for what they have and even on the low side considering the great the quality of their antiques.
I’ve bought so many great things here. Cameras, old barware, makeup signs, old tins, and virtually anything else. Every item is unique and I’ve only seen it here, they have such an amazing collection. I also love how the store is organized, it helps you find your way around while discovering so many amazing antiques.
I’m always happy to stop by when I’m on Sanibel.
Always a fun place to visit and pick up something unique and different. The ladies that work there are fun to talk to and we always walk out with something. Plan on not rushing they have a truly massive collection.and its always clean!
This place is AMAZING! If you can't live without, you're in luck.they probably have it! When we walked in we were greeted by a super friendly, extremely helpful guy named Steve. We happened to stop by during their 50% off sale. I thought prices seemed fair & reasonable. This place was an absolute treasure trove! It was so we'll organized, extremely easy to look through & very well taken care of. Honestly, it was the best place I've ever seen! If you haven't had the chance.you should go check it out! There's something for everyone!
Such a cool place to visit! So many unique and rare items! You can spend hours browsing here! Plus the owners were very friendly! Definitely a great local business to support!
Odd little shop, very niche. A bit of a tight squeeze but it was super cool, we bought a little raisin coin purse! I loved the place, and thought the alien outside was fun!
I was not impressed by this antique shop. The shop owner was grumpy, and I feel it's way over priced on Everything. I wont be back.
