J. Douglas Williams YMCA Family Center, Lake Mary FL

Love this place, very friendly staff. Great pool, best public pool in Lake Mary area. New class room open, very nice. Would love to see newer equipment, but this is a nonprofit. I’ve heard that new equipment has been approved.

This makes sense of you are a family that is looking for a gym at an affordable price but not just for one or two people because it's expensive and you can get the same but more modern for cheaper elsewhere, like la fitness. They have a nice pool and good gym equipment. I did not like that they give classes in a sort of basketball court area which is way too big and hard to follow if you don't have the best eye sight.

My family came in from out of town and are members of the YMCA in their hometown, when they entered and presented the card the lady didn’t even try to scan it and said that they needed to fill out papers! They YMCA accepts memberships nationwide so why would you not scan the card? This happened 8/5 between 5 and 6 pm. So apparently whoever sits at the front desk needs to be retrained! Upsetting af!

I go there every day and it's great! Free coffee and the employee's are very nice. The gym is nice and thee basketball court is big. It's overall a great place.

Fitness equipment needs updated. Basketball court needs supervision unless you think teens vaping inside is normal. Parking is terrible -lots of crimes of opportunity so put your belongings locked out of site. Yoga classes are great, locker rooms are very clean. Hard to get in/out the exit by vehicle. Needs a light.

Tracy is amazing for their swimming lessons. Mary is super sweet and helpful. Great place to become healthy while having fun.

To much money for what they are offering! Need to upgrade this location. The employees are really nice but they need to keep with other gyms in the area. As much as they charge it should look more nicer.

Good clean and pleasant employees. Attended Taekwondo match. All went great with 1st and 2nd placement for grandson.

Our local Y. Friendly staff. Cannot say enough about how great Marcia is (yoga). They added a barre class recently that is worth the trip

Not too friendly. Anyone with feelings can tell when a fake smile is given. Felt really gloomy in there like a funeral or something.

Mary at the front desk is the most pleasant person I have encountered in a while, what a warm and friendly welcome she gives all the patrons and remembers all their names, she is a gem.
The gym is efficient and easy to maneuver around it. It has all the equipment needed for a great workout and many classes for different tastes and abilities.

Great place to exercise but very costly. My income was lower middle class and my fees based on income was $120/month. I cancelled because of high costs. Several gyms around for way cheaper costs.

Everyone here is amazing. Body conditioning on Tuesday and Thursday are my favorite class. Honestly you can't go wrong with any of the classes all are fun.

Terrible service. My daughter was sent a voucher for swim lessons and they told me to come out and do the registration then tell me when I get there my daughter is too young and to try another YMCA this was after I emailed and asked specifically before driving 30min to their location.

Love this place, fantastic staff and facilities. We teach diving in the pool and are always welcomed and helped by the amazing team.

Quite possibly the most poorly run facility in Central Florida. The lifeguards as basically children who have no interpersonal skills (probably the result of the inept Aquatics Director), the family "locker room" (a filthy toilet, moldy shower with curtain) is disgusting, and the front desk staff always look like they have a better place to be. Don't be fooled by the pretty paint. Look elsewhere.

My family and I went here and tried it for the day to see if we like it. All 5 of us LOVED it! The pool was very nice, clean locker rooms and bathrooms. The gym was clean and well maintained. There were other families enjoying the amenities. It was quiet and all the staff were amazing and the front desk receptionist was very informative and respectful! It’s a great place for the whole family!
