Jacksonville City Hall reviews
15Be careful of the parking meters. Do not use credit cards or debit cards. Coin only. Parking meters are compromised.
They banned loud music after a certain time of night but still got these people with these loud mufflers riding around doing car meets late nights, Which is crazy it's a race thing but let them tell it "ITS CAUSING A DISTURBANCE " SO WHAT THESE LOUD MUFFELERS AREN'T?
Disgusting behavior by a city hall employee John Phillips. Just witnessed how they handle citizen rights. Disgusting
Jon Phillips committed a assault on camera. Mayor city council and lead attorney do not return emails
This review regards the city of Jacksonville. Pure garbage. Rampant gun violence. Extreme examples of poverty in every corner of the city, especially downtown. Homeless problem. Feral cat problem. Housing shortages. Utility company scandal. Lower paying salary than other comparable cities. I was brought here on a graduate school scholarship and then the graduate school was SHUT DOWN in 2021. NOWHERE else in the country has had a law school get shut down in decades. The place is garbage and makes even Detroit look pleasant
I had to call today to get help with a residential inspection and spoke with a very kind and understanding gentleman who understood my frustrations. He was able to resolve the issue and for that I am grateful.
Got what I needed done which was fingerprints. The only way to screw this up is to be a B$&ch. "Don't press your fingers, I will do that! " I felt like I was being booked but I was there to volunteer my EMS services to JAX. Just smile next time unless I did something wrong.
Just watched the City attorney
John Phillips commit battery he doesn't believe in the First amendment of the Constitution.
Corrupt, anti-white racists more interested in lining their pockets and filling their bank accounts than improving the city. That goes for the City Council and the Office of Mayor as well as all in between.
Jacksonville has a cultural problem the local government fails to address or take seriously. Instead they think renaming parks, schools and building murals along Forsyth Street will cure that problem. Hasn't worked yet, never will.
Downtown is a dump and I find it laughable how much money is being wasted to "improve" it. You might have 50 new apartment buildings, a hotel and a restaurant opening, but who wants to come downtown and spend money when they will have to see homeless people sleeping on sidewalks, trash and food all over the place, large groups of black men lining Main Street every night and feel unsafe when those from surrounding neighborhoods arrive to "hang out"?
We need to weed out the local government and elect people who actually care for ALL citizens, not just those they fear may "peacefully" protest and destroy things.
What a beautiful building that was saved and turned into our City Hall. Clean and in a nice park area that appears to have been cleaned up over the past few years. Parking is ok but there is nothing around to keep you there except Sweet Pete's. Would love to see this be more tourist friendly but still like it.
When counsel people speak and recognize good citizens, or regular folk talk, counsel people should be paying attention. Your glasses give.away you aren't looking at a document or reading text. The regular folk deserve your attention for a few hours a week. I do t play on my phone or tablet while I teach. Shame on elected officials that can't pay attention.
My husband and I appreciate this beautiful architecture and engineering project which houses some of the finest public servants who try to do their best every day.
Beautiful hall. Was once a hotel. Staff are friendly. You come here have a purpose. People are here to help. It's a good place to see sometime in your life to see where government do what they do.
Come here one too many times. But when you want change, you must act. Beautiful building and park just outside. If you are going after hours, you can find parking on the street nearby. If not, there is a parking garage nearby. I think that you can get a ticket to waive the fee. Not real sure about that. Make sure to leave your pocket knife in the car, security screening just inside. Took my camera last visit to fight the power. Enjoy.
Art is from local veterans for the Celebration of Valor 2021. Everyone was very helpful in putting up the display and send words of encouragement to the participating veterans
