I was checked in right away when I arrived and my appointment was right in time. I got in and was seen and was right out promptly.

I would put 5 stars but Amy at the scheduling sighed when I was asking her a question and was incredible short with me. She seemed like she didn’t care at all and hung up on me when I was about to ask another question. The reason I’d give more stars is because dr Steinberg is amazing but Amy needs to be talked to about how to speak to patients and show respect. I was respectful and didn’t do or say anything that could make someone mad, I just had a few questions about my appointment and injury and that’s all I spoke about until she hung up on me before I even finished!

I’ve got almost every week a massage. In January, when I arrived to my appointment I made in December, they gave me a form to sign that the price increased from $45 to $60, without any notices. Dear JOI, I understand prices increase. However, that’s not the way you should treat your customers! An increase of 33% without any notice.

You See the VERY LOW RATING THEY HAVE! They deserve it!
A significant other of mine was in an office room with one of the younger 30 year old male doctors, ALONE, behind closed door complaining about a phlebitis condition in her R shoulder and in both arm elbows. He told her the shoulder would never heal without surgery. That was not true. Her Primary Care at that time said there was NO REASON for surgery and she told the doctor she was not interested in more than an X-Ray at that time. He asked if he could examine her and upon putting his hands on her he appeared annoyed and angry at her.he grabbed a hold of the right arm and YANKED I VERY HARD TO THE LEFT and assaulted her. When she came downstairs to the car she was very distraught over being injured by a doctor because of her age (Senior) and because she would not consent to any surgery. Today with the help of Essential oils on her own, that shoulder is now 90+ percent with very little discomfort whatsoever. After he assaulted her.she had much worse pain before walking into JOI Office. Reports were filed with the Health Dept of the State of Florida. She was told she should have made a police report but she didn't realize it at the time because of the trauma and the getting over the pain & suffering of the assault immediately after. That pain took an additional 6 months.plus seeing other doctors for extended care after this assault.

Called JOI and listened to recording message for over half an hour. Finally hung up. Would be helpful if JOI has Chat online in their website that has nothing to do with scheduling appointment or doctors.

Just had the rudest conversation ever, just simply trying to get an appointment for someone to look at my back because I can barely walk! Lady said we don't accept your insurance, bye and hung up! No concern, suggestions or anything! Flabbergasted

Dr Bruce Steinberg performed carpel tunnel surgery on my right hand last week. The entire process was pain free and no pain after surgery. Stitches removed yesterday - no therapy needed. Just a few exercises at home for a week. The burning, tingling and numbness of carpel tunnel is now gone. Thank you Dr. Steinberg and the wonderful staff at Jacksonville Orthopedic Institute. Dr. Steinberg is the man! His intelligence level is impressive, however, he can explain the injury in such a simple way that as a patient you actually understand and aren't left confused. He is the only Dr. I will allow do surgery on me. My job is physically rough and it seems I am always injuring something and he makes you confident it is fixable and he follows through. He is a master of his craft and his staff is just as amazing! My physical therapist, Chang T Chau, has been my therapist each time and he's great as well. There's absolutely no other place I would trust in the way I do Dr. Steinberg's team @ JOI and am so grateful he is a true professional while also a humble genius. -The Stone Family

Back on 07/21/2021 I injured my right hand on the job. And have been out on Workers Comp. Well as of November 4th 2021 it seems everything has changed. I must truly thank <> Kaylee <> for really giving a damn about getting me better. When I was going through rehab it takes two to feel better the Physical Therapist and the patient. Well I feel better and I thank you Kaylee. It also takes a team of other personal that work at JOI Rehab. From the Front counter personal helping us patients of rehab getting checked in making sure the paper trail is right with Workers Comp, general Insurance or self pay. And they perform many other duties, I thank them for what they did for me. I also want to thank Pam the visiting physical therapist when others were out. Thank You. Well that's it if its not I will let you know. Yours Truly Eric J

I have been going to JOI on and off for about 8 years now. Knee replacement, rotator cuff, etc. This time it was for back pain - namely sciatica. I suspect due to the last year and a half of sitting around with little activity. LIZZIE did an outstanding job of helping me get pain free (even though it wasn't so pain free when she was working on me!) She was positive and pleasant to work with, encouraging me to stay with the stretches needed to start doing the things we enjoy.like bike riding and hiking. Thanks JOI and Lizzie!

It didn't feel like my doctor was just trying to rush out of the room. Everyone that I interacted with was nice and helpful. I have not always felt like that at a doctor's appointment. Cool place!

Thank you very much to Mr. T. Gorman (JOI - San Marco) for his patience through my PT sessions for 3 weeks.
He was informative as to what exercises I needed to do for my right ankle and leg. With encouragement & training, I am able to return to walking without pain. Thank you very much Mr. T and JOI.

Unfortunatelyunfortunately I've had a very stressful poor experience dealing with j o i since the beginning of September of 2020. When I've registered with them I made it clear this was a New York State no fault insurance claim from a car accident they insisted on my regular medical card for a secondary insurance to have on file they assured me it would not be used unfortunately that was not the case nine times in counting I have to correct all the appointments that were not made due to them giving the wrong medical information to the MRI facility to the scheduling department for a sonogram which I was not told my Doppler was canceled till I drove over 2 hours from Georgia for that appointment when I arrived there for the Doppler.they claim that somebody called me the day before and let me know I show them my phone there was no message from nobody the day before or a missed call I was supposed to have an appointment with the orthopedic surgeon for knee surgery yesterday and I was called and it was canceled 2 hours prior to the appointment because once again they don't want to use my no fault insurance one hand doesn't seem to know what the other one is doing and I would highly recommend you go elsewhere for your treatment the schedulers are supposed to just schedule your appointment I've been refusing them arrived my lower back that I've been fighting to get since September yet to get the schedules are going to tell me the law that I have to use my regular insurance when this was a car accident by law my regular insurance will not pay for it knowing that the New York State no fault insurance should be paying for it I think their staff needs more training to have better knowledge of their job and they need to learn how to build properly and not use your private insurance when they were made very clear that this was a car accident and fill that paperworks to ask about the accident how it took place when it took place so there's no excuse for this poorly managed professional office and I did call the office manager two times in a week and a half until this day I'm still waiting for return call which does give a poor reflection and explain the poor management of this medical office so I advise you to go elsewhere for your medical care it is cause undue stress to me raise my blood pressure I do have other health issues I made a trip there for nothing which is a 4 hour round trip for me but the nurse was able to squeeze me in for a sonogram so I appreciated that but this has been nothing but a whirlwind of aggravation dealing with this facility so please take your business elsewhere if you don't want to go do all kinds of aggravation and delayed treatment and tests it's not worth it

Today was my last day! I’m actually impressed by how far I’ve come in 5 weeks. My first visit was the most painful after hip replacement and home therapy. Ehren did my evaluation and took measurements. My goal was to ride a bike, but we faced a few problems getting me there. A previous knee replacement had me frozen up and severely limited my range of motion. Coming in I was somewhere around 45 degrees bending. But Ehren, Bridget, and Michelle taught me ways to properly stretch and push past my pain. I am extremely thankful for them all. Everyone is professional and knowledgeable. I left at 70 degrees which was short of what I need for a bike ride, but well on my way to recovery. My hip replacement joint feels strong and supportive. Thank you JOI Rehab -San Marco for giving me a chance at a better second half of life.

If you have any issues relating to your spine, I HIGHLY recommend going to see Ehren Allen. I had severe neck pain and just one session of physical therapy dramatically helped. Within two weeks, I was almost completely back to normal, which I didn't think was possible at one point. Ehren is a wonderful therapist and I cannot say enough good things about him!

I attended the JOI rehab center in San Marco because I was experiencing sciatic nerve pain. Ehren and the entire JOI staff was great during my rehab. After a few weeks of rehab, I felt significantly better. Now I'm back at the gym and couldn't feel better. Ehren was very knowledgeable and provided education on how to prevent future injuries.
