Jacksonville Speech & Hearing Center reviews
13They friendly and helpful and the wait is not that long but with this heat it would be nice to put out a benches or chairs in the shades for people to keep cool while they wait if they don't have ac in their cars but I do like the place a lot.
I'm just not happy with the recent service they have/have not offered my special needs daughterr. Got a new pair of hearing aids for her in February, cost 6000.00. After four attempts they finally sent them back as defective. She has loaner hearing aides for two months now. They called last week said to come pick hers up. After several calls to make an appointment, leaving message after message, I finally get someone to answer the phone. She had me on hold for twenty minutes, then tells me they do not have any hearing aids for her. But you called me and said they were in. Girl says she will figure out what's going on and call me back. That was 7 days ago, still have not heard from them. SMH
Dr. Fenja Mattson is wonderful. She asked questions and listened. I did not feel rushed. She took time to explain to me what is going on and how she could help. My only regret is not seeing her sooner.
Its a nice place to go to when you need to get your hearing tested and if you are having trouble with your speech too
100% satisfied with Dr. Mattson, hearing test, recommendations and the hearing aids. Every aspect exceeded expectations. The hearing aids have been a game changer. Only regret is that their help should have been sought earlier.
Took my 90 year old mother here for hearing aids. Dr. Cleveland was wonderful with her, very patient and kind. Mom loves the new hearing aids.
Was there two weeks ago. Go in to find out my insurance won't cover a hearing aid. Filled out an application for a donation. They have a donated hearing aid for me but the Lions Club has to sign off on it. It's been two weeks today. They said the Lions club guy comes in every other week. Which means last week. Because they said he was in the week before I was in. Still haven't heard back from them. The lady wasn't in Friday or Monday (yesterday) when i called. I'm hoping to get a call from them sometime this week. *May update at a later time.
Wonderful people and highly skilled speech therapists. My daughter and son have been going there for over 2 years. Their speech journey has been remarkable.
Great experience.every test was described in detail as we went along.great communication even if the test results were not what I was looking for.
Front desk personnel are incredibly rude. The doctor working in pediatrics seemed to have very little experience in interacting with small children. Only one out of four tests were completed for this reason. She stated that this may take several repeat trips think I'll opt to go elsewhere.
I have been taking my nephew here for around 6 weeks. They are very caring and personal. He speech has improved more than I could of hoped for. They are wonderful!
Equipment was outdated and in need of maintenance. But it is where the VA spent the least money to treat me.
Not good for kids. Lady rushed us in and pushed 2 buttons then said my son's hearing is great. Not sufficient test for kids.
