Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens

Haven't been in a long time. Overall was pretty good. Has improved and getting better. Some building still look pretty old. Kids enjoyed the monkeys, flamingos, train and carousel

Beautiful and fun to walk. Spent hours and enjoyed all the animals. Most were out and quite active.

Always a good place for family activities. Animals and plants and helpful staff will never disappoint anyone. Highly recommend at least annual visit.

Extremely upset over how my 70 year old parents were treated by the train operating staff Kayla and Robert. Especially Robert who has NO sense of customer service. My disabled grandparents were refused to be sat at the disability access part of the train, and when I rightfully so complained, Robert threatened to call zoo security and have my 70 year old grandparents kicked out of the zoo. UNACCEPTABLE. Not to mention that we had a stroller and he again made a scene regarding where my child in the stroller could sit. He was extremely unprofessional and aggressive. This is unacceptable and I hope a supervisor reprimands him.

One of the best AZA zoos I've been to! Zoos and aquariums are one of my favorite passions, and the Jacksonville Zoo blew me away! The exhibits were all so elaborate and methodically planned out and all the staff were helpful and nice.

Nice place to spend the day. The animals are well cared for, the staff are friendly and helpful and there is a decent snack bar. Views along the Trout River are beautiful. The only thing that would improve the experience is better signage at the exhibits telling about the animals. If you have kids and wish to cool off there is a water play area.

Was a beautiful day, the temperature was awesome on Saturday. We rode the train, then we started our journey. The stingray's were amazing. We touched a couple. We seen a lot of animals. We worked our way to the childrens play area. The little ones had a great time in the water. Watch out for those tipping buckets, it stings when it reaches your skin.

You really must include the feedings! I love the stingray exhibit and feeding experience made me feel like Moana touching these beautiful creatures. There is also a "playpen" for the babies in the middle of the pool but you can't really see them yet too young. Maybe next year!

LOVE THIS ZOO! Staff very friendly and knowledgeable about the animals. Answered all our questions with a smile and total guest satisfaction! I highly recommend this zoo if your in the Jacksonville area!

Have been here a couple times now and in comparison to other Florida zoo's this one it's far too good. They have a pretty good variety of animals, they are well taken care of and have a decent habitat well taken care of as well. I love this zoo

Beautiful zoo. The animals are very active and the enclosures allow for good viewing. Prices for food and snacks is actually fairly reasonable considering it's an attraction.

Great place to take the family. Well laid out and plenty of shade as you walk through the park. Employees are nice and help you learn about the animals. Great job! They have earned the title of one of the best zoos in the country!

Although I do not agree with having animals caged. This zoo mostly rescues the animals they have and rehab them. It’s a great place for kids and pretty clean for a zoo.

Beautiful grounds. Even if I almost melted. Don't wear clothes that show sweat. Heard from a friend.
