Arrived at 8: 45pm and door is locked/closed. They advertise they’re open till 9pm. Lights still on, employees still in while i’m outside. Lazy. Will not return.

My husband and I were in heaven eating the food at Jacobs. The hot corned beef and pastrami sandwiches were to die for! The service was the best. Even the desserts are ten stars! We went there three times in one week. Twice for dinner and once for breakfast. We chatted with the owner who remembered my parents from when they were his customers. We will be relocating from NY to Boynton Beach very soon. Jacobs has life long customers as we will be dining there often.

Ate there 2x. Mostly do take out for tongue/deli sandwiches many times. Always good. Nice amount of meat on sandwich. Recommend. B

Good, inexpensive place for kosher style dishes. My wife and I had their dinner special one evening. It was about $34 for the two meals that included appetizers, main courses desserts and soft drinks. The food was better than average and needless to say quite filling.

I haven't been so pleased to enjoy that NY-style deli other than Rein's Deli all the way up in Connecticut until Jacob's became that deli dream that I always wanted to visit for delicious food. Today (8/21), I had the chance to visit this establishment while we are in Florida to vacation for over a week.

The employees at Jacob's are kind and pleasing which I liked. At Jacob's, there's more than just deli.

Whether you're in the mood for a slice of Reuben sandwich or a salad, you'll be more than happy to satisfy yourself because the food is real good. I ordered shrimp salad (yes, I said shrimp), as well as potato pancakes and so much more of the good. There's a lot of shrimp in that salad bowl. They give you sauerkraut on top of Reuben, which is sweet. They also have Styrofoam containers and bags for takeouts or to have food brought home once you're full before you finish a dish.

Want something more? There are dessert options as well such as sugar free pie and cookies.

I primarily came here with the whole family because it's my first name (duuuhhh!) and the fact that they serve up a good New York style deli I thought.

I want to come back to this establishment if we go back to Florida for the next vacation. Mmm.good!

I encourage folks who enjoy NY style deli with Floridian ties to try their establishment in the heart of Boynton Beach, right near the post office.

Any restaurant today that serves anything but solid white tuna should be ashamed. The light chuck tuna was awful. Bathroom lights not working properly. The owner needs to reevaluate this business.

Holy Smokes! - After 1 Year - I think I may have discovered the best "Kosher Style" Deli in Palm Beach County - Too think, now the wife and I are actually moving away from this overcrowded place! Hidden/Nestled away in Boyton Beach - Yes, I was the youngest guy in the Dining Room - Nevertheless, the purpose of this review is to draw attention to this gem of a place. Unfortunately or fortunately - depending how you look at it, this place is not "Legally Kosher" for all intensive purposes. Nevertheless - we are dealing w/ Kosher Style - Jacob's was suggested to me by one of my patients and I've already been there twice in one week. Place is filled w/ the "Boyton Crowd" - who I'm convninced is doing there best to keep a lid on this place. Food is excellent and the prices won't break the bank. Owner/Operator Jose Jacobs is on premise everyday but Wednesday - from what I'm told.

Meats are "Cured" on Premise - which is a rariety. Rye Bread is baked on premise and truly is the star of the place; Absolutely delicious! - You are not going to find anything like it anywhere! I've been told the Turkey is amazing and look forward to trying. They have a tremendously amazing menu that will satisfy the most discerning meshuganah. If you are reading this - than stop what you are doing and get out and try this place. OMG - The Matzah Ball soup was really good!

Please tell the waitress to smile a bit more! It makes the food taste that much better. Otherwise no complaints! Would avoid on Wednesday - because that's the Owner/Operators day off. But, the gal at the slicer sure as heck can make an exceptionaly tasty sandwich and I've been told she covers for when Jose takes his much needed break.

Plenty of parking availabe in the shopping center and very easy to find! A+ - This plus is truly wonderful! Enjoy and let me know your thoughts! Let me know if any of you meshugs want to meet me there? Like it and Love it!

A Sunday morning at 11: 30 …We walked and no one greeted us with a staff of 6! A women finally acknowledged us and said sit anywhere. The waitress came over and was ambivalent towards us. We asked questions and she wasn’t helpful and frankly didn’t give a darn. We WILL NOT be returning. I know that serving tables can be tough but we walked in smiling and left not smiling!

Updated June 2023- While I'm still fairly upset about the last experience I had with Jacob's and Jose, I must admit that when I finally stepped back inside the restaurant, my feelings had changed. My mom, who I would always eat Jacob's with, had been in the hospital for almost 3 weeks before she passed June 25th. My WORST fear has become my newest reality. Jose was so kind and empathetic when I stopped in right before she passed. He had known my mother and I for so many years you'd think there was familial relation (hence my upset with him and the restaurant in my initial review.) I cannot lie though, the burgers made at Jacob's have NEVER failed in delivering delicious flavor with a hearty patty and steak fries, which is a huge staple for me since growing up up north and going to diners regularly with friends and ordering steak fries with cheese or gravy. My aunt fell in love with the burgers as I told her she would, and 2 days later, I picked up burgers and matzo ball soup (also a HUGE favorite) for my aunt and I. There was a nice guy standing by the register trying to figure out what he should try, and I gave him my input. I hope he enjoyed whatever dish he decided on. I've let the grudge I was holding up dissipate, and I now look forward to stopping in more often as I begin the process of completing every task after a parent passes.

(JOSE refunded 8.92 before we even GOT the food KNOWING Door Dash would've refunded the WHOLE WRONG MEAL! AND IT'S COLD) We have been going to Jacob's for YEARS! NO MORE! My mother and I ordered through Door Dash. I called JOSE so we could add on a side of grits to each meal. He told us to put it in as French fries. We ordered TWO BREAKFAST MEALS, which were to come with 2 PIECES OF BACON 2 SAUSAGES AND 2 PANCAKES! This is the GARBAGE we get. COLD IN ADDITION! When I went to put in for help on Door Dash, Jose had already put in an 8 dollar refund, so I couldn't debate it. I CALLED HIM AND SPOKE TO HIM, HE KNOWS ME AND MY MOTHER, AND HE OFFERED NOTHING OTHER THAN HE DOESN'T LIKE DEALING WITH DOOR DASH. YOU, put YOUR menu on there. You KNEW you were wrong, that's why YOU PUT THE REFUND BEFORE I COULD DO ANYTHING. THAT DOESN'T EVEN MAKE UP AT ALL FOR ALL THE FOOD WE WERE SUPPOSED TO GET! Plus, NO ONE ordered home fries. How RUDE he was in NOT giving a flying F about his customers. WE ARE NEVER GOING BACK AND WILL MAKE SURE ANYONE WE SENT THERE WILL NEVER GO BACK EITHER! Still haven't gone back since!

Fantastic pastrami sandwich. And they do a great whitefish salad. Everyone there was warm and gracious. The only thing we did not care for was the matzoh ball soup. (The matzoh ball was huge, which was amazing to see, but the texture was powdery. Otherwise, we had a great meal.

Taken over by long time chef. Still great comfort food for people seeking Jewish type deli.

Not the best of Delis. Had to ask a number of times for mustard, napkins, etc. Disappointing!

Great food and a big menu with breakfast, brunch, and lunch options. I like the pastrami sandwich for lunch and the Swiss cheese omelet for brunch.

I'm floored that this restaurant gets anything higher than 1 star. Sheer insanity. The food was HORRENDOUS. When people say "Don't expect good food in Florida" this is the stereotype they're talking about.

The place has zero ambiance. Very generic interior; I could've been eating at a diner or cafeteria. It doesn't feel like a deli. Don't discount this. It detracts from the "deli experience". For heaven's sake, put up some pictures of the Lower East Side or something. Give the restaurant a vibe!

The place was not too clean. We sat down and the table was tacky from. I dunno. From something. My menu had someone's cabbage on it. *shudder* So we changed tables. That table was dirty too. The table next to us had a dirty rag on it.

Service was pretty good. Waitress was friendly and welcoming. Food came out fast.

The food was disgusting. Jacob is rolling in his grave.

Matzah Ball Soup: C-
The matzah balls were big and flavorless. Really, flavorless. Disgusting. Think of a big ol' wet ball of matzah. Ugghghghghghg. Even matzah balls from a box have more flavor. Even just a little salt, pepper would've made this BIG FAT F matzah balls into a C. Then, if you want to bring them up to an A, use some parsley and schmaltz. You're a restaurant, you should be able to handle that! The soup was very meh. I could find ZERO evidence that the soup was anything but 100% bouillon and water. Seriously. Lipton and water. And who the hell puts noodles in matzah ball soup?

Potato Pancakes: C+
Very subpar. Obviously from a mix, which isn't NECESSARILY bad, I've had halfway decent latkes from a box, but like the matzah ball soup, they had zero flavor. No black pepper at all. No schmaltz. Just totally bland.

Pastrami: D
Served to us cold. Ughghghghg. Sent it back to the kitchen and it came back lukewarm. I swear this pastrami comes from sliced Boar's Head or some other ultra-processed meat. Look at my pictures. That is not from a carved pastrami - that's pressed, processed, machine made meat stuff. You ever see pastrami that like that from a NY deli? Hells no! That's some ultra-non Jewish pastrami.

Tongue: B
The tongue was actually not bad. But everything else was just so dreadful.

French Fries: B-
Very nondescript.
