Jaffe Eye Institute, Delray Beach FL

I had very high hopes for my appointment with Dr. Jaffe. I've suffered with dry eyes for 10+ years and was concerned with increased blurriness and discomfort in my left eye over the last few months. The front desk worker was pleasant and the tech who did my intake exam was fine. They both stated I would be meeting with Dr. Saker.

I was surprised when Dr. Jaffe Sr.came in to see me instead. He was dismissive and condescending. He told me that I work in IT and to blink more and to use drops, basically pushing me out. When I tried to have a conversation with him about his findings, he was short and impatient. He scoffed when I told him I've had corneal perforations in the past. When I asked if he thought my vision could be impacting my discomfort, he told me to go to Costco if I wanted an eye exam. He also told me to just go buy some eye drops (no recommendations or samples).

At the end, I asked about tear duct plugs, which had been helpful in the past. He said no, he doesn't do those. When pushed, he said I could make a different appointment with Dr. Saker (who I was actually supposed to see). I spoke to the front desk on my way out and expressed my disappointment in the fact that nothing was done for me. I asked if Dr. Saker could swing by instead, since she was who I was scheduled to see and she does plugs. I would like her input. I was told no because they already billed insurance and proceeded to shame me for booking online. I was shaken up and disappointed for several days afterwards. I waited a month for this appointment- never again!

Line out the door when I arrived. Waiting room packed. This tells me low patient care. How can I trust my vision to a person that has a massive patient load? The receptionist was like a drill sergeant, what choice does she have with being overworked. I will not be back. Our health care system is disgusting. I want change.

This place sent me in a wild goose chaise, ending with Dr. Adriana Saker. She is the worst! I have a Stye now 3 months. After seeing her on my 3rd appointment, she scheduled me to come back in two weeks to remove it. Only to tell me she is gonna send me to a different doctor. Why did she waist my time? She had absolutely no intention of removing it. Everyone in the office was surprised that she didn’t do it! I don’t think she is even a Surgeon, I think she is a fraud and all I kept doing is paying copays and I’m sure she gets to do a nice bill to my insurance.
She doesn’t belong there.
Don’t waste your time and money with this particular doctor.

Gary Jaffe performed cataract surgery on my left eye on March 13th of this year The operation was done so poorly that I had to go to another doctor who for more than 5 months can't cure the eye that Jaffe disfigured. Itlooks like Jaffe stopped being a doctor. Don"t take risks, Don"t go to this fake doctor!

So happy with this office. As a new patient, they were able to schedule an appointment within a few weeks. The office is organized and clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. Dr Jaffe was thorough, nice, he listened and an excellent Opthamoligist. I’m so happy I finally found an eye doctor I can trust.

This is the worst doctors office you could possibly go to, for your eyes! The person that works in surgery scheduling and billing is the worst. She could care less about you I needed a referral renewed from my primary for over two weeks and they never did it. Also I was recommended to get surgery for my glaucoma and she tried to get me to pay $400 I was not responsible for. After I contacted my insurance company they confirmed that wasn’t responsible to pay any additional fees her attitude completely changed toward me! She keeps putting me off getting the glaucoma surgery telling me the dr isn’t set up with a surgical center he was switching to. The doctor was supposed to be set up 2 months ago, and she keeps telling me it’s not set up yet and for me to keep calling her back every two weeks meanwhile I’m going blind from glaucoma? They don’t want to call me they expect me to just follow up and when I do it’s the same story, nope not set up yet then she hangs up before I can even say goodbye. The worst attitude anyone can have I would fire her day one! I have not had the surgery and I can’t go anywhere else because my insurance is a HMO and they are the only game in town. This person must believe she could never be fired bc she doesn’t do anything more than she has to. I’m afraid this is the world we live in now. If you can, avoid this place drive 50 miles if you have two to go somewhere else.

I was totally blind and Dr. Jaffes gentle touch restored my vision. He is a miracle as well as his helpers. Professional yet kind and caring. God bless.

Do not go to this Dr Jaffee, I have never been so upset in my entire life, first he tells me I need 2 new lens, $500 each eye, $600 each eye at the place we're he did the surgery, after surgery couldn't see any better oh you need laser surgery, after that zero percent better, and I've been to his office 13 times at $50 a pop, then I need a specialist, paid Uber $100 another $50 co pay at his office, the guy tells me I need another specialist, went back they told me my secondary ims didn't pay because they weren't 90 days apart, how the hell is that my fault, then they wanted all that up front before seeing this other specialist $550 witch I'm not paying, my eyes are worse than they were, lights flashing, shadows in the corner of my eyes, and dry eye witch.i never had,
DO NOT GO THERE, FIND ANOTHER EYE Dim out $3500 and my eyes are worse than ever

Extremely the worse experience with such lazy employees at the front desk. Why they don’t fire those people is beyond my understanding. Waited over 25 minutes to be checked in when no one was on the lobby and she was too busy yapping then working. Mediocre employees. I wonder if she will tell the Dr that I left after waiting 25 minutes to be checked in by not doing her job or she will just tell him I left.

The worse part is those employees are so certain they will never will lose their job that they don’t do their job.

Dr. Jaffey damage my eye to the point of blindness during a simple cataract surgery. If you want to go blind, go to Dr. Jaffey!

I had cataract surgery on 1 eye in January of 2021. I was so traumatized that I put off writing a review until now. Dr. Jaffe talked me into a trifocal lense for 3 thousand dollars. My eye has never been worse. It's as if I have a new cataract on steroids. I have blurred vision and the glare is atrocious. I told the doctor and truthfully, he just couldn't be bothered, said I'd get used to it, give it a year. Well, it's 2 years later and that eye is still bad, though I would never step foot in there again. I have a different doctor now. However, what has set me off to write this review is that 2 years later, I am suddenly sent a bill for $5.00!
I called the office and wrote letters regarding the absurdity of billing me now for a lousy 5 dollars.insult after injury.
I can afford $5 but after what happened I think they can eat it.
I continue to get billed month after month for the same 5 dollars.and what they are spending on paper and postage will soon far exceed the $5.
Stay away from this place!

I have been a patient of Jaffe Eye for a number of years. Jaffe has set the standards for excellence to their patients. Great staff and friendly too.

Dr. Glazer was extremely personable. His exam was extensive and thorough. He explained everything he was doing and what he was looking for. At the end of the exam he asked me to see my Optometrist to get my glasses corrected and come back to see him to fix the issue in my eye pist cataract surgery. I would recommend him to anyone needing a Retina Specialist.
