James B Foley, DDS reviews
6 I went to this dentist for years. It was always a bit of a red flag that he never had the same hygienist or front desk person. No other medical office I go to changes staff so often.
The thing that drove me away was problems with tooth repair that dragged out for months with him loosing impressions, temporary crowns falling out and not being repaired correctly and not being taken as a priority when those crowns were put in incorrectly.
The crowns were put in after 3 months yesterday. He didn’t take the time to make sure my bite was correct. Running out of the office to take a call. When I called the next day to get it fixed they couldn’t finish the work for another week.
It would be so easy to fit me in so I’m not biting on only one tooth but they dismissed it as just another appointment and couldn’t fit me in at all even thought it’s finishing something he did wrong.
I'm 59 years old. My middle four top teeth have been disintegrating over the years for a variety of reasons largely due to my own abuse of sugar, cracking nuts with my teeth instead of using my fingers or a metal nutcracker, and (what I can't control during my sleep), teeth grinding.
It was only a matter of time before they cracked and crumbled completely. I put it off for 10 years because I have sensitive teeth and had wanted to delay the discomfort I typically have after a procedure before my teeth finally adjust.
Finally I did it this year (because two of the front teeth were literally crumbling into my food when I ate (yuck!).
I'm very happy with the result. Clinically sound and cosmetically appealing. Also, after a complex procedure Dr. Foley calls ALL his patients to ask how they are doing several hours afterwards.
The product that was referred to as enamel that the hygienist required me to keep on for 4 hours damaged my enamel. I would not recommend going to this office if you value the appearance of your teeth.
Dr. Foley has been my Dentist for well over 15 years. He and his staff are excellent in what they do and seeing to my every need. I highly recommend them should you be in need of dental services.
Dr. Foley is very skilled, and also very personable – a big plus for a dentist! He did a great job replacing my old, deteriorating amalgam (mercury) fillings with much nicer – and safer – composite fillings. He worked on them until he was satisfied that everything was just right. His staff is very friendly and efficient, and take great care to make sure the office is kept virus-free.
Having known Dr. Foley for 5 plus years I can truly attest to the many positive testimonials that come through the IBE office of outstanding experiences and dental services offered. Dr. Foley’s clients readily chat about the outstanding doctor/client interactions they have and marvel at the thoughtful follow-up after dental cleanings and procedures. While some may have initially seen Dr. Foley because of his centrally located office, they eventually grow to love and trust the staff like family. Words like “trusted, ” “knowledgeable, ” and “sincere” are just a few of the adjectives used to describe Sarasota’s favorite dentist, Dr. James Foley, DDS.
