James Field Park reviews
5The playground finally got redone but the organization that plays football here has taken over the whole park several times a week not allowing people to use the PUBLIC park, they block off the whole thing park all up and down the street block off the side walk with cars ECT. This is ridiculous even if you have a permit for your 100 + people for the football field you have no right to take over the play ground you can't reserve a public playground! So sick of never being able to use our public neighborhood park!
Love this little park! I believe that little league football practice and games are held here sometimes (i think the home team is Red Devils). It's usually quiet and they JUST put in new tennis courts! Hoping for more improvements but happy that this small park exists.i love the graffiti that's there, it's really cool!
It's seen better days, that's for sure. Based off these reviews I'm seeing and my own experience, I'd say that it's a place that could use some repair and cleanup. There's a graffiti painting on a crate there calling the place the Devil's Playground. It's a good place. I've not seen any drug Dealers, but that's because when I went there last week, me and my siblings had the whole place to ourselves. It's a good park, it just needs some work.
I used to bring my children here to play when they were small. Today we went to clean it up a bit. The playground is great for littles, there is a huge field for running, and a track for walking. Looks like they are making a new tennis court hopefully. It's not amazing, but it is also not bad. Remember to take your trash to one of the two garbage cans. Oh, and the only restrooms are the 2 portapotties.
Picketville Park, near Old King's Road and Lane Ave. I would recommend this park to parents in the area to bring their children, to enjoy a day or outing at the park. Has a fenced in place park area with your basic park equipment for kids to place on. Also has a large grassy field to enjoy baseball and football games/practices on. Large park in a decent neighborhood. Good place for large events or get together. Decent park to hold a child's bay party as well.
