We are visiting from out of state and the engine light came on our van. We called at 730 and scheduled an appointment for that day at 2pm. They quickly took a look and diagnosed the problem. Outstanding service! Thank you for taking such good care of us.

Had to replace the battery and the starter and ignition. Got everything done in just over one day. Very courteous and professional! Would highly recommend them!

The two things that come to mind with Jay & Deans are the fact that these guys are honest and dependable. I took my truck in to these guys to have the clutch fluid bled and they identified a small oil leak I have had for quite some time. They were able to give me the best price on repairing that and had the parts EXTREMELY fast! And did the work the same day! I have not come across a shop that prioritizes communication and customer service/ quality repairs such as this establishment! Great job Mike and Scott! And THANK YOU

They replaced my starter for a great price and did a great job, my car works great.
They did not con me for money, nor mess up.

I bought a refurbished starter from O'Reilly's, they said the refurbished ones have a better chance of working than brand new ones (they were getting lots of returns on new ones). Well when I replaced it, it didn't work. Jay & Dean's took the refurb out, gave it to me, I got a refund from O'Reilly's, Jay & Dean's also took the core of my broken starter and gave me some off the final price. Couldn't have imagined a better auto place to do business with.

I recommend this shop every chance I get. My family has been using Jay & Dean’s for at least 10 (and closer to 15, I think) years. My sister has made this our family’s go-to mechanic and sends them a new customer every few months. Scott and Mike took over the shop earlier this year, and they’ve kept and even grown the impeccable reputation this shop has. I’ve had a lot of work done with them since 2021 and each time they saved me 30-50% compared to what Honda dealership quoted. They don’t cut corners and they’ll give you an honest, professional assessment. Unlike some shops or dealerships, they don’t just start replacing any part they can and guess and check after the fact. They’ll tell you if it actually matters when a specific part really should be OEM or if aftermarket is functionally equivalent— and they can get any parts (OEM or AM) fast and get the job done well and at the best value and price you’ll find in Sarasota. Bottom line: Quality. Value. Outstanding customer service. These guys are the best in the business. 10/10 would recommend!

Scott was great! I dropped my Jeep off at 4: 30pm on a Monday as a work in to fix my steering wheel and get an oil change. They were booked until late Friday. He gave me a call the next day to let me know everything was done. I was in and out! 10/5! I recommend going here.

I had the pleasure of meeting Scott, the owner & Mike, his mechanic. They took care of my oil change, rotation of tires as well as repaired my a/c.
I even got to see Dean before he starts traveling.
