JCPenney Portraits, Tallahassee FL

We showed up for our appointment at 11 and the studio was dark; there was no one there. We went to customer service inside JCPenney and they said thry just rent the space out and it must be closed, even though I made an appointment for today and someone even called the day prior to confirm it. We went back to the studio, still closed. We went back to customer service and they told us to just call the studio. When I called at 11: 30, a woman answered and said she was there at 11 and we could come now. (She was NOT there at 11 and I have a photo of a closed studio taken at 11 to prove that). When we got back to the studio, my 2 year old is now grouchy and fussy and tired of waiting. She made us wait another 15 minutes while she made a phone call because she didn't know how to use the camera and she said it wasn't working. She was rude and did not explain further, other than telling us to just keep waiting.
When we finally went in to take pictures, we were all stressed out and my 2 year old refused to smile and fought with us through the whole shoot. It was not a pleasant experience, I don't like any of the photos because we were all stressed out and angry, and this has been the worst photo experience we've ever had. I want a refund for the package and I do not want to go back to JCPenney portraits ever again! We never got an apology, just lies that she was there at 11 and she acted like nothing was wrong.

I did not enjoy our experience here. I watched who I believe from other reviews is Brooke take her time and work well with a family before us. Unfortunately we were not photographed by her. The woman we had made us feel rushed and was not very good with working with our infant. It took her too long to snap pictures when the baby did smile so she would end up missing the shot. Brooke ended up having to come in and assist by suggesting we clap the baby's hands together to get him to cooperate. Our photographer offered no guidance at all.
I am willing to try again, but only if I can make a photographer request

Poor customer service.especially from the employee with the dreads/twist style. She needs to learn from her coworkers and if she is a supervisor, I can see why JCP portraits is poor in Tallahassee. This was my last session with JCP. Highly disappointed. I advise anyone to book with other local photographers.

Brooke was incredibly helpful, professional, talented and kind. She helped us have a really enjoyable experience. I really appreciate her time and attention to detail while we were there. The price was pretty giod and the photos came out great. Thanks again Brooke.

This was our 3rd experience, its very affordable. All the staff that has helped us has been nice and this time Janelle was our photographer, she was really patient with all of our family members which included 3 kids and even though it was store's closing time, we werent rushed, she tried to accommodate all of our portrait request and gave some nice insights. Although they dont have the system of just clicking it continuously and there sensor kept turning off especially at the time when all the kids were looking at the camera, which is hard and we had an appointment for 9 people including 3 kids and still they had only 1 person working at the time which was so difficult when they have to manage postures and taking photos. Overall i will definitely recommend this place.

The photographers are always very gracious and patient and we always, somehow, get great shots of my usually uncooperative littles (4 & 2)!

The lady who helped me with the final picture selection was really nice. The lady who was taking the pictures was good and nice. The other two that were there didn't smile seemed bored and annoyed that they had to be there and when I called in a few days later to ask a question the lady on the phone was short and made me feel stupid for even calling to ask that. Would probably go back the prices were fare and looked really good, they are just lacking in customer service and joy.
