My wife and I had a 4: 15pm appointment. When we arrived we were told there was a 45 minute wait. After waiting for 45 minutes we were told there was another 30 minute wait. At 5: 55pm after still not being seen we decided to leave. Considering that other families also had to wait hours and the multiple negative reviews the portraits department is poorly managed and has terrible operations. Don't waste your time here.

Waited almost an additional hour from our scheduled time to get started. We weren’t too upset especially since the lady gave us all the time we needed during our shoot, baby was being fussy. Very cute photos! Although they did not print/blow up well if done at CVS.way contrasted idk why. We also ordered holiday cards BUT they arrived with the wrong photo on the back and without our names on them as we created at the studio.) :

Had an appointment scheduled today for 5: 45 pm when I got there with my sons and husband, there were several customers complaining about long wait times one lady said her appointment was for 3: 30 and had already been waiting over 2 hours, another had a 4: 15 and was also still waiting, there were multiple other people waiting there was no staff member available, finally a lady came out to check me in after over 15 minutes waiting, she said they didn’t have enough staff.
This location has many appointments with no staff to accommodate all the customers At that point I cancelled my appointment, and left will not be returning.

We take our annual holiday pictures here since 2015. This time was one of the best visits. We got the early appointment, right when they opened. We were in and out under 30 minutes.

Staff was friendly and prompt to our needs and request.

Completely incompetent staff. Came and took my pictures on December 21st and was informed it would take 48 hours to receive my photos. (I was promised 2 backdrops but the photographer/boss neglected to even mention them during the shoot) I come back Friday and they told me due to the holidays it will be extended, which is completely understandable. I come back December 28th a week from the time of my original photos and a different staff member is letting me know my order is completely gone! I’ve paid over $150 for my photos and can’t get any confirmation as to where my photos are. I’ve called everyday for the past week and left numerous voicemails, I get here on the 28th and they claim the phones are down. Completely unprofessional! The lack of communication and transparency really baffles me! I recommend any Life-touch photo studio EXCEPT this one!

We had an appointment at 3: 45 didn’t take the actual photo until after 7pm. The photographer kept leaving out of our photo shoot to do other things. When I finally received my digital photos everything that I paid for was not there and I had to make an additional trip BACK to the Mall. If planning to take photos do not visit this location you will be waiting for hours.

Horrible service waiting for 3 hours. The sad thing about I had a appointment 4 week in advance…Call and spoke to someone.they indicated the session was 15 minutes. I would have left, but I have family from out of town, so I needed a picture to be taken.never again JC Pennys, horrible, horrible horrible service. Wish Sear was still open.

Come here all the time but today the staff professionalism literally make me never want to come here again, first off they can’t even answer their phone called over 10 times, literally had to contact the optical staff next door to let them know I was running late, there were 3 of them there, secondly they are mad because I am late but couldn’t answer the phone, my kids touched everything they had to act like we had Covid 19 but I didn’t even see them clean the room that had dogs everywhere, such a disgusting disappointment photoshoot, they have no patience with kids, you can see it in their faces. For such a big company they can do a lot better with their staffs! Will never ever even go here in the future.

We have used this particular studio for our annual family pictures and birthday photos for the past 4 yrs and have always had a pleasant experience and very nice quality photos.

Do not ignore this review. Do not waste your money.
I’m not one to write reviews, BUT I felt I needed to this time.

Please go to another photo studio that actually has professional photographers who actually care about their photo quality.

We came here to capture a special moment of 4 generations. My grandmother is very old and this was probably her last visit. Our photos were blurry. Very bad quality, we cannot use them. My iPhone takes clearer pictures than these. When I complained to the studio about the pictures, even the manager said yes they are blurry and Lifetouch should be giving you a refund.

If a company has good customer service, I would not write a bad review. This studio is not from JCPenney, it is Lifetouch which owns Shutterfly. No one has returned my phone call, they won’t give me a refund. These are NOT cheap photos. I could have hired a professional photographer for the same price.

Do not come here just because you think your going to get somewhat good photos for cheap, it is not cheap. The quality is VERY bad.

Terrible it was the worst waste of money of my life. Waste of time energy it took 3 hours to get pictures that my 8 year old could have taken but yet she takes better pictures with her own phone.

The only reason why I’m not giving them a 5 start is because you always have to wait even with appointments and even if you go in 15 minutes earlier for your appointment. If can be frustrating if you have a baby on a sleep schedule. Their is no reason to have someone waiting almost 1 hour for a photo shoot with a baby.

God do I wish there was a zero star option! Absolutely horrible! A month later and still no photos. We were told that the photographer they used just disappeared with people's photos. Supposedly the studio contacted his mother and emergency contact with no luck. He finally handed them over last week and jc penny has yet to upload them for us to see. PLEASE BEWARE AND DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE WITH YOUR FAMILY PHOTOS. We keep getting told to give it time. I wonder how they would feel if this happened to them- customer service is non existent. Spend your money with actual professionals instead. Disgusting. No resolution has been offered not even an apology or refund. At this point I just want my kids images safe

All the pictures were beyond terrible. Not only was the photographer's personality absolutely awful but so were the pictures he took. The man clearly didn't want to be there and snapped at my family for no good reason.

This is our second year taking Christmas pictures with you guys. This is also the second time you guys haven’t gave us our digital photos. For a week straight you guys been saying “your system is down” but yet i have other family members that had a session with you guys days after us and received their photos digitally. Now I’m starting to think you guys have stolen from us.

I had a great experience at this JCPenney Portraits location! The photographer (I forgot her name) was so sweet and patient. I can tell she is such a genuine person. The pictures came out beautiful! I’m so glad I went to this specific location.

They were very polite and the photographer was creative in creating a scarf that can pair with my scarf for my newborn daughter seeing that mine was a bit short. Wish I remember her name but I do want to say thank you for having patience with my daughter and for creating the beautiful photos.

My daughter and I had a blast on our Mother-Daughter Photoshoot, however the pictures were very dark. The lighting definitely needs a lot of improvement.

We had an appointment at 445. Was told to be there at 440. To be safe because we like to be early we got there at 415. Had our 3 kids, 2 week old 5 year old and 14 year old ready and dressed up for there pictures. We finally gave up after waiting until 620. Horrible service. Pretty upset spent well earned money on outfits just for this event. And wasted our kids time for nothing at all. Management needs a big overhaul. Hope the owners see this so they can come in get some serious training in this place of business.
