Jennifer Naruta, APRN reviews
3 I had been going to Dr. Naruta for a few years and I appreciated the fact that she seemed to listen to what I had to say, but the last two incidents put a bad taste in my mouth. I was incredibly sick at the beginning of December, she prescribed antibiotics and they didn't help me. I ended up having to go to urgent care because my symptoms worsened. When I explained to the urgent care doctor what I was prescribed, the doctor was confused and questioned why my doctor would prescribe such medications if she wasn't sure what was wrong with me.
2nd incident. I had bloodwork done. Usually when my bloodwork is completed, it's uploaded to mychart. Instead, my results were held captive and I was told I had to schedule an appointment to discuss them. Although, I wasn't really told. I was sent a message by the Care Advocate on the Adventhhealth app, a few hours before they closed for the weekend- and left to worry about why I suddenly needed to make an appointment to see my results the entire weekend. No phone call or communication from the office themselves or my doctor. When I finally contacted them today, I informed them that I couldn't make an appointment with Dr. Naruta as she was no longer in my network due to an insurance change they said I would only get my results if I picked them up. I pick them up, just to find that my results are completely normal compared to previous bloodwork. If there was a change in protocol, there should be communication to not cause undue worry. And if not a change in protocol, why force the extra steps to get MY HEALTH RESULTS? Very odd. I'm happy to go to a new doctor.
Jennifer was ok. Seemed knowledgeable but my visit felt more like a revolving door than actually listening to my issues. Hearing someone speak, and listening to them are very different things. They canceled my physical on very late notice and charged me for a video consultation which I did not ask for. Staff is not able to do the right thing so I will never go here again, along with my friends and family.
Needs to have her medical license revoked. Put me on a highly addictive drug (benzodiazepine) when I was only 18yrs old and she did not warn me of the consequences of taking this every day, 5 years later and I’ve spent thousands of dollars in rehabilitation and therapy to be able to quit the drug and treat the debilitating side effects. Jennifer Naruta needs to find a different calling or educate herself on the over-perscribing of controlled substances and actually learn how to help & listen to patients instead of getting them out if the door as quickly as possible. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
