Jerome Washington, LMHC, Sunrise FL

Jerome has been a wonderful guide for my husband, my son and myself. I received emdr therapy with Jerome and it was life changing. He is an experienced professional, knowledgeable and caring. I highly recommend him.

My husband and I visited for counseling and he was unprofessional. For one, he did not throughly listen to our situation before trying to diagnose a problem also he had us complete a huge packet for our first appointment and he did not review it before seeing us. That was a waste of time! He was more concerned about payments so the first half of our sessions was how he doesn’t trust being paid by the insurance. Mind you, he accepted my insurance but he didn’t like waiting on the insurance to process his payment. Lastly, he rescheduled our appointment and never showed up. We tried reaching out to him and that was the last time we heard anything from him so we stopped going. I wouldn’t recommend a woman to speak with him because he doesn’t seem care about a female perspective.

I have been working with Jerome for about 7 months now and has been a great experience. He listens, he gives the right tips, asks the correct questions, and is consistent. I would ghost all my therapists before but not Jerome. Looking forward to continue working with him.

My experience with Mr. Washington at JW Therapy was life-changing. My husband and I had grown distant, and communication had become strained. It was a difficult time for both of us, and we knew that we needed help if we wanted to save our relationship of 24 years.
That's when we decided to seek the help of Mr. Washington at JW Therapy. From the first session, we knew that we had made the right choice. Mr. Washington was warm and welcoming, and he helped us to feel comfortable opening up about our struggles and concerns. He listened carefully to both of our perspectives and provided thoughtful feedback that helped us to see our situation from new angles.
One of the things that I appreciated most about Mr. Washington was his ability to understand both our unique needs and perspectives. He didn't take sides or place blame, but instead helped us to see where we could both improve and work together towards a common goal. Through his guidance, my husband and I were able to develop a deeper sense of empathy and understanding for each other, which restored the trust that we had lost.
I can confidently say that Mr. Washington at JW Therapy helped to change my life and restore my marriage. Through his compassionate and expert approach to therapy, my husband and I were able to rebuild our connection and find new ways of supporting each other. I would highly recommend Mr. Washington to anyone seeking mental health support or couples therapy, as his guidance and expertise can truly be life-changing. I am so grateful for his support and guidance.

The following statements are my personal opinion:
he changed my answer on a test he made me take in his office in front of me then told judge greenhawt he told me i couldn’t change answers and i invalidated a test he is a liar avoid him at all costs

i email him for appointments and get ignored

he should probably not have a license to practice he seems like he is disturbed

also he works with this attorney named david scott to harras pro s.e. Litigants and even pretends that he is qualified to do psyche eval to further harras pro s.e. Litigants
judge greenhawt specifically said he is not qualified to perform a psychological examination because he’s a therapist and not a psychologist
he probably wishes he was smart enough to be a psychologist but he’s far from it
if he has testified against you in regards to a psyche eval he probably wasn’t even qualified too do so i feel bad for pro se litigants when dealing with this sick man
one time he called me and i said i wanted to make an appointment he kept repeating himself saying call me when you want to make an appointment he said it about ten times after i kept saying let’s make an appointment he even admitted to doing this in front of judge greenhawt

i would suggest researching his qualifications and if you are pro se try to hire a lawyer to help you get
out of him and david scott’s evil web of tactics to harass and intimidate you

He just lied in court under oath about me yesterday 10-26-22 he said I was a racist made a racial slur against him and cursed him out I did nothing of the sort at all I will be filing a complaint against him

do not let the opposing lawyer pick this therapist to do an evaluation it's a setup deal jerome gets paid and in court he will lie and say he told you to do the 400 question exam a certain way under oath when he never did and say you invalidated the test to make you look bad in court

I was amazed at Mr. Washington's insight into my specific needs. I found him to be professional, caring, and easy to work with.
I highly recommend Mr. Washington and have referred him to several of my friends.

I really appreciate all you have done for me! I have been seeing him for a year and half every week and, I got to know him as a wonderful caring human being. It would have been the same weather it was a women. Gender does not matter when it comes to professional therapist. A good psychogist has no color, gender.they are all trianed to do the same therapy work.with that said, Jerome was exceptional in helping with my personal issues.he has been on point every week and never forgets anything we have Dicussed.
He is very organized and always has everything written in his notes. I am grateful for Jerome because of him I am a better person for myself everyone around me. I have learned a great deal about who I am and how to manage moving forward with life and truly enjoy, to be happy and live life and appreciate what life has to offer. Nothing well always be perfect. However, we can all strive to be better human beings with work and the time you put into is what you will get out of your own personal experiences.

I haven't had a session and I already feel JW Group or Dr. Jerome Washington wouldn't be a great fit for my family. He seems disorganized and doesn't recall information you've already expressed to him. I called and left a message requesting to seek service for family therapy with him on March 4. I received a call back from Dr. Washington March 8 at 7: 25 am. He asked what I was seeking service for and availability. I expressed I wanted family therapy and I wanted a male which is why I chose him and shared our availability. He then said I would get a call back from a scheduler and I may not be scheduled until a month out because he was pretty booked. 1st instance of disorganization: The next day he called and said he was left a message to call me. I expressed I spoke to him yesterday and he said I guess the schedulers want me to schedule the appointment. When I asked for Thurs morning, he said that wouldn't work which was understandable so I said I would call back with more availability. I called back 30mins later but no answer. 2nd instance: He then called the next day and gives me a female counselor name and said I should expect a call from her to book. I reiterated what I expressed in our first conversation, that I wanted a male which is why I contacted him. He then states well you will be put on a wait list, is that what you want. So it went from a month out to wait list! I stated yes put me on the wait list. He then says it's maybe going to be awhile and I said ok. I felt he was trying to persuade me into using another counselor instead of him. This is my first time seeking a male therapist and can honestly say it has put a bitter taste in my mouth and hope this isn't a norm. I do not plan on using Dr. Washington service as I feel he is disorganized and perfer a therapist who pays attention to their client needs. Giving him at least two stars for at least eventually calling me, although he wasted both of our time. Which I find to be the most valuable thing since you can't get it back!

Mr. Washington is highly professional and an outstanding expert in psychology. If I could give him 10 stars, I would. I visited him for over a year. He saved my personal life, my marriage, my anxiety, my depression. Our case also included: personality disorder and addictions; our case was complicated and messy; we were unsure if he was going to be able to help; but I can say today that he was the best thing ever happening to our lives. Not only I can hardly remember my pain, I healed, my marriage is healed, my spouse is a healed wonderful man today and we wouldn’t be able to be here if it wasn’t for Mr. Washington. I highly recommend his therapies and methodologies, they worked.
