Jetty Park Campground, Port Canaveral FL

Absolutely the best beach in Florida! So many things to see while at the beach. It really is a great place to create family memories. Between watching the boats going out to sea, catching a rocket launch, or enjoying one of the nearby restaurants, you can’t go wrong with Jetty Park!

It used to be a 5 star park and we loved it. The daily parking rates increased and unfortunately restaurant and store is no longer there and really unkept bathrooms. I hope this is a temporary situation.

We visited Jetty Park for a third time in the last year. I will provide a summary of the campground, then pros and cons.
Summary: Jetty Park campground is located on the beach in Cape Canaveral, and is operated by the Port. It has 155 sites, and offers quick access to the park and beach. It is a prime location for watching space launches, and all the major cruise lines port here. There are two bath houses with showers and laundry, and a camp store located in the middle of the park.
Pros: The beach, the viewing of space launches, and the big cruise ships coming in and out are prime features. The camp is large enough that you can make a nice bike ride through the campground, then through the park adjacent. Most sites have a concrete pad, and a grill. There are plenty of full hookup sites, and you are close to Cocoa, (10 mins to Ron Jons) and its a straight shot down 528 to Orlando.
Cons: The camp store has limited hours when you can walk in, mostly you call them and ask for what you want, they charge your card and you pick it up at the door. Not very convenient. The fish lips restaurant right on beach is closed permanently. There are no fire pits, so if you don't have a personal one, you are out of luck unless you use one of the communal ones. The sites are mostly in the sun, and tightly packed. People in general don't respect boundaries of their sites. My site is an exception, and I will attach a map showing the sites we circled as being "best". This campground is very popular, so if you are here on weekends/holidays, be prepared for lots of people/little privacy.
In conclusion, Jetty Park is a great campground if you like the beach, rocket launches, and ships. It has a lot of full sun sites, but also has lots of full hookup sites. The camp store is not fully open, and there is enough space to ride bikes. We have made this an ideal place for family get togethers. Enjoy!

Always a great experience! Camping, beautiful beach on site. Store within campground for convince.just text them and they get what u need if you run out of staples (ice, milk, pop etc). Safe place with sheriff and canaveral patrolling. Clean bathrooms nice showers. Quiet park. We love jetty park!

Was so very disappointed. We planned part of our trip around being able to stay at Jetty Park. Trying to find your site is almost impossible, (need someone to guide you to your site). Site was small, not very well taken care of. Can't understand why it takes almost a year in advance to stay at this resort? !? Don't waste your money! And from my understanding it cost's $17.00 just to visit the park for one (1) day. What a joke!

The park attendees absolutely bent over backwards for us, make sure to ask them about the campsites before hand though. Some are completely enclosed in trees with shade and privacy, others are just a plot of land right next to another plot with nothing shading you or separating you from the people next door. Make sure you get the one you want!

Jay Park is one place I love bringing my family fishing to one side Pavilion restrooms in the middle Pier and a beach awesome place to go to for family fun camping picnics

Didn't go camping or swimming.simply went for the Space - X launch.plenty of parking and viewing areas. $15 to enter.

Clean, beautiful, close to everything - and watching the cruise ships and missile launches was a bonus! It would have been nice to have airconditioning in the restrooms though. I'd sweat buckets just taking a pee!

My favorite place to watch rocket launches. Nice area to fish or just take a walk. Grounds are very well kept up.

Clean, quite, well maintained and good security. Not much of a walk to beach and several good seafood restaurants nearby.

The staff is great and very helpful.

Great place, fun, we have visited often. The park has access to see cruise ships come and go to ports everyday. Ports getting ships to unload and load cargo. Busy place.
The most interesting, day was seeing a Submarine go out to sea. What a thrilling day.
The camping and cabins are great as well. Visit the beach, and for boaters there are slips to launch your boat. Weekends are crowded. Also, for boaters going from the river to ocean there is a lock system to experience by boat or to view by land the tremendous mechanism that makes the locks work.
Also, many restaurants near the docks to enjoy. Have fun, we did.
Don't forget to see the rocket launchs, so close, bring a picnic.

Site not real clean.needed mowed and grills needed to be cleaned out.no cable and hard to get reception on the antenna for TV.rented for a whole week and left early but no refund for they said they were booked all the time.so many sites where open when we left.wont be going back

Love the beach at Jetty! Just wish they would keep the up bathrooms betters and wish they would push the sand away from the fresh water showers.

Awesome place for launch viewing, especially at night, free admission after 11:). For SpaceX Falcon launch, but not Delta

Enjoy coming here for "glamping". We were so happy to see the grass was cut in the 100 section which made our stay much more enjoyable this trip.

Walked to the beach. Went out on pier to see if any one was catching anything they had some reds. Just a lot to do.

Older man working booth double charged me. 30$ to walk down a pier after 5pm. Beyond annoyed. Had nothing but attitude while paying our admission like we were putting him out by coming and visiting park. DO NOT COME HERE.go to Cooca beach. Not worth the aggravations. A

I've been here several times and have seen all of the progress made here. The campground is superior, and has everything you need, if you want/need more, it's not camping. The pier is solid, clean, and is beautifully positioned on the point of Cape Canaveral reaching out into the Atlantic Ocean. Currents can be "confused" because of the unique position of the Cape. You have a chance of catching just about everything here, but if you don't, the view is stunning.
