Jimbo's Pit Bar B-Q, Tampa FL

We heard about this place being one of the oldest BBQ places in the area. We went ahead and split a three meat dinner (Ribs, pulled pork and smoked sausage w/coleslaw, fries, and the hush puppies). The wife loved the sausage, I enjoyed the pulled pork. The ribs were good, a bit on the dry side, though. The fries were good and crispy, but the hush puppies are kind of bland and dry. The staff was very friendly too. Overall, if you haven't been, I say give it a shot. It was more of a one and done for us.

Got the sliced pork BBQ. Was really good today and large portions; green beans fresh and cooked perfect. Hush puppies are Great. The service is quick and friendly!

A Tampa staple. Great for a quick drive-thru. Look for some good coupons and don't forget the hush puppies. Got the pound of chopped beef and it was delicious with their sauce. Next time Ribs.

Great BBQ. The service is outstanding, and we love the atmosphere. Pulled beef or pulled pork, you can't go wrong. Angus beef hamburger is delicious. Highly recommended.

First, to all the haters…keep burning burgers on your backyard grills!

Does anyone bat 1000% every day? No but, from the food to the service, Jimbo’s is always a solid choice for bbq and smiles. Ribs, chicken and pork are always tender and flavorful. Bbq beef is a different beast by using sirloin but, a beast with flavor that I can get down with. The sides are just that, sides overshadowed by the bbq’d meats! Not once have I gone to a bbq joint for the sides instead of the meats…just saying!

The BBQ here was great. The coleslaw had a great tang to it, the hushpuppies were slightly overdone but still good

I moved to Tampa from St. Pete not too long ago, and was worried that my thirst for good eats might not be quenched easily. Boy was I wrong. I eat Jimbo's on average once a freaking week. Chopped beef and hush puppies baby!

Been going to Jimbo’s for lunch numerous times over the last 10years. The food is consistently good and the service is always friendly and efficient.

Delicious BBQ but small inside, get there early because it will fill up by 11: 30 you can even buy some sauce, they bring it warm to the table and it is so good

Good food, good service, good location, good prices, and locally owned forever. Good choice for some solid BBQ that won't break the budget

Two out of 5 stars. Feel bad giving this rating. But this barbecue is just mediocre. I don't know if it's a different style that I'm not used to but I was not impressed at all. I have eaten here twice. Had the pork sandwich they recommended the first time and the burger this last time. And the burger seem to be a pre-formed patty that they heated up on the skillet. I've had a few different sides and never impressed with any of those. And would not recommend anybody spending their time coming here. I do not know how this place has four and a half stars on Google. The customer service was great and the staff as well. Our waitress was actually a vegan which was pretty hilarious. She was a great server!

The food was absolutely great before VS after the pandemic. I'd dine-in @ Jimbo's at least 2 twice a week. It's my first time going back and will never go back!
The prices increased, and the quality of the food has DECREASED tremendously!
Wld not recommend!

Great BBQ and a tall glass of southern sweet tea! What more can you ask for at lunch? I will be back for more.

Great old school Florida bbq. (Opened 1970). Friendly and efficient service. Relaxed atmosphere.

Server knows customers when they walk in the door. Very welcoming. Brought drinks out right away and food was super quick and delicious. 10/10
