JOANN Fabric and Crafts, Venice FL

Super rude women working here. I'm like always a friendly customer, but they were still condescending and rushed me out of the store. I gave two stars because they did have some unique poly-bag Legos.

I love this store! If you're crafty at all, they have pretty much everything you need! And, if you sign up on their app, you get rewards and coupons, and they always have stuff on sale!

It had some good selections of fabric and some paper for scrapbooking. However I tie dye and on the clearance are they had a kit the was marked for over $20.the same kit is sold at Walmart for half that.disappointed in that instance.employee at checkout was complaining that the register was a bother as it was slow to process and would yell at it.
She was friendly and pleasant.

I was at Venice Sore yesterday and was horrified when the clerk told a customer to SHUT UP! The woman was trying to find out why she couldn’t order something on line! Another shopper chimed in and accused the customer of holding up the line! This clerk was also nasty to me, so I know it was not her fault for asking questions! The clerk threatened to escort the customer out of the store! A manager should have been called, but the customer did leave! I have NEVER witnessed something like this!

It is more for cutting and sewing that they offer a very good variety for that type of crafts.

Very disappointed. Looking for baby afghan patterns and yarn. Very little inventory. Not what it used to be.

Out of all the fabrics we could not find the color/fabric combination we were looking for. The women working in that department were helpful, but we left emptied handed at three different locations.

This place is awesome, staff is incredibly helpful. One of the managers I think her name was Joan truly went over and above for the best shopping experience. I'm a guy, not a sewing guy. She made it very easy. Thank you Joan

This is a small store but I always seem to find everything I need. The ladies are always extremely helpful Angels my favorite she's the best.

I went to Joanne Fabric to get information to have my seamstress cover kitchen chairs seat cushions. I know nothing about sewing, foam or yrds to buy. Mara, the salesperson was excellent with me and she explained everything to me. She took her time and showed me how much I needed. A couple days later, I went back to Joanne fabric and I had such a horrible salesperson. Susan. She was at the sewing center and she didn't acknowledge me. When she did she was rude and didn't want to help me. I asked about yd that I needed and foam and what would be enough. Susan said that she was trained not to give information. Why would I go there, if I knew? Mara answered all my questions and so fortunate to have her the 1st time. She is a real asset to the store. Susan needs to be talked to since people have questions when they go to the store. Hope I get a response from this review since I see no response to other reviews!

Awesome place! If only they had Scrubology yarn! Not sure why they marked their prices up so high then have a sale. Just put honest prices out and people will buy this stuff.
