Joe's Crab Shack, Daytona Beach FL

If you go to Daytona Beach you have to go to Joe's, its a requirement. It will be crowded, you will have to wait and have a few drinks. If the bartender takes mercy on you they'll feed you in the bar. You will get good seafood of many kinds and you'll love it. Great funky beach vibe out on the pier.

I was so so disappointed to say the least. After and 1 1/2 hour wait we ordered Tacos and they had less than an ounce of fish in it. It was a cabbage taco. It was less than the size of a McDonald’s chicken nugget. It came with a side of cold queso. That I couldn’t eat.

They were only seating at less than half capacity. That is why the wait was so long (mind you this was 3: 00 in the afternoon) by the time we were seated the wait was 2 1/2 hours and the hostess was so rude to other guest.
I understand it is hard to find staff in a restaurant during this pandemic but seriously if you can’t do better than this just close the doors. I felt like they were taking advantage of tourists and a one time meal. There were 3 of us and it was over 75.00. Save your money and have a relaxing meal somewhere else like Riptides.

Okay. Not worth the hype. Small king crab legs and they were cold, out of a lot of stuff, short staffed waitress was overwhelmed

Honestly this is an amazing place, the food and decor is great and ALL the staff is amazing they are all good people and really care for there customers well being.
10/10 would definitely recommend

Mark was such a wonderful accommodating professional Manager, despite the packed restaurant on the lower level, he made sure myself and daughters were seated and comfortable. Truly the experience was absolutely % perfection! I am so glad we chose to eat at Joe's crab shack! Great Management!

My waitress Ashley was very on point even though it was so crowded! Very sweet!

The two bartenders on shift, Brittnay&Crystal were excellent! Drinks were on point! Top notch! Mind you this restaurant was crowded to the max and everyone kept up! They had two cooks (only2) whom I did not meet but the food was outstanding!

I highly recommend this restaurant in the Daytona area, if your around do not miss this fun spot! Music was perfect to the ocean! Beautiful ocean front in Daytona! Eat and watch the waves relax and unwind, no worries!

I would also like to mention I did notice a rude lady whom was upset her food was not out in 10 minutes, had it been out in 10, I myself would think that was much to soon, I like it freshly cooked. Here at Joe's crab shack it most certainly is fresh. As the saying goes the wait is worth it!

The food was out in a timely manner even with two cooks, absolutely excellence preformed by clearly professional chefs!

I will visit again!

I was walking around the restaurant on their outside deck at employees only entrance, when I slipped and fell due to something spilled on the deck. The host nor the manager had any concern about my fall. I had to demand they do something to keep someone else from falling. It took over 405 minutes for anyone to address the situation. Manager gave excuse that he only had 4 people working at the time. I had to talk to him twice to get him to do anything. I also informed him that I was considering talking to a lawyer in case I experience some pain after the fact. Their attitude about someone being hurt stunned me. They weren't the least bit concerned and never asked if I was ok. Pathetic attitude.

The food is not testy. The shrimp was overfried, couldn't eat it. I don't recommend this restaurant.

We came to Crab Shack to celebrate my son's birthday around 6pm on a very rainy Monday night. Restaurant was not busy at all due to bad weather. We were told that wait time for a table was between 2 1/2 to 3 hours. We asked why is the wait time so long and got yelled at by the manager, saying how understaffed they are. We ended up going to a different restaurant nearby and were sitted within 20 min. Very rude and unprofessional management. We will never go there again.

I dont like seafood so i ordered chicken tenders (not a fan) but since this is a seafood place it's not a huge deal. I went with a group of people who wanted to go there and they absolutely loved it. My husband said its one of the best meals he ever had. I wasn't too crazy about it bc like i said i dont eat seafood and also i got 2 big alcoholic drinks which was over $20 and i didn't even get a buzz. But our server was outstanding and she was very attentive and kind. Aside from my meal, this place deserves a 5 rating.

Always a good place to be when in Daytona. Very friendly staff and always good food. Only 4 stars cause it is always super busy and you have to show up in person to request a reservation for the next day or so.

Ate like a fiend! There were three of us who strategically ordered to get a little of everything. Did not disappoint. Service was excellent - beware of potentially long wait times due to staffing shortages.
